Locally grown fresh tropical fruits and vegetables are commonly available when you walk around this market place. You can find typical souveniers like fridge magnets, keychains, t-shirts...etc. Not just that they also sell rabbits and puppies too. There is a row of stalls selling food and drinks. There are many locals with horses soliciting business from visitors to have a ride around the market with a fee. Overall it seems over-rated. Everybody seems to be seling almost similar items. Just remember to bargain.

Traditional fruits and vegetables market. Very popular among locals and tourist. All local product and very fresh.

Loka Nando (18/02/2018 12:26)
The traditional market can said as seasonal market means at holidays season the market so crowded full of domestic or international tourists. Fruits and vegetables that sell from this market so fresh, harvest right from the gardens surround kaban jahe district. Majority of the fresh products isn't organic products but doesn't mean there is no organic products. You can also purchase organic products with little bit higher prices. About cleanliness of this market, I can said awful cause there are many animals to sell and to exploit. The feces and urin from animals around the streets of the market. The smell is bad too. Responsible of cleaning from the peoples quite low. about price depends on ability of how we can negotiate.

If you want some fresh fruits like edible passion fruit, manggoes, oranges, etc and also fresh vegetables..this place is recommended.. there's also some store sell souvenirs. We also can ride delman (traditional vehicle that is pulled by horse), horse or feed rabbits.

You might find street food, fresh vegetables, fruits, souvenirs, flowers (in cheap price and wide varieties) here, don't forget to bargain for a better price especially when you're buying more items
And as the market is targeting the tourists, it start to open by late morning until night
When i came by early in the morning, almost all the stall was closed
Try to have a street food call "kue pancung" here, it's a traditional snack made using floor and coconut, the salty and sweet taste is a combo

A place where children this day can see and play with animal and riding a horse, remember you to bargain the price for the fruit and vegetables because sometimes the price is higher then the city.. you can buy clothes here if you intend to play with hot spring water because it will stinks you clothes guaranteed..

This is more a tourist attraction but it is a real fruit market. If you want the market for real locals you have to walk 15 minutes down the main road.

Good place for tourist who looking for Indonesian traditional Friut market, it was really a fresh place to visit, although it was a pittoe bit dirty

Andri Agassi (19/08/2016 08:18)
A colorful market to see and look around! Even if you don't intend to buy anything it's still worth a visit. However, buy some fruits and you won't regret it.

Adrian J Nyaoi (13/04/2016 15:20)
This is a very interesting place to visit because of the many verities of fruits and flowers that is displayed for sale. The price is cheap even if you do not bargain. but it is always wish to compare prices before any purchases.

What is sold depend on the season, a particular fruits many not be available here at some time of the year. Pomegranate was in season when we were there and was very cheap. Other than fruits, flower and veg, there are stalls that sell textile, local garments and souvenir

The place open fairly late, even at 9.00 am many of the stalls were not open yet.
