Locals are amazing at the entrance side we went from. Less people go this way I believe. There are numerous checkpoints where locals give you info and try sell you deals. All fine as just different villages I think? Anyway they were great when said didn’t need a guide except the second point where I had to explain that we just drove a long way and want to go explore the waterfalls by ourselfs and that was all. After all we only got charged a very small fee to see waterfalls.

A must visit! Amazing waterfalls! There are boards saying "Registration" on the way to the waterfall. Do not stop there. go to the Main Parking. There you can get a local guide who would take you down to the waterfall which is about 30 - 45 min walk. You'll be soaked when you reach there. So make sure to bring waterproof bags if you have any valuables.

This waterfall is absolutely breathtaking. It was a wonderful experience watching this waterfall, the natural beauty is fantastic to watch. The scenic beauty is nothing short of a poetic imagination. Lively surroundings with huge trees all over place. Bali is really lovely place to visit.

Maybe the most amazing place in whole Bali island. Not crowded and the waterfalls are insanely beautiful. Getting here can be difficult as many locals have scam parking lots kilometers away from the falls itself. Watch out for locals trying make you pay to see the waterfalls. You can drive quite close to the waterfalls and get there by yourself.

Sekumpul waterfalls are group of seven waterfalls that are considered the most beautiful in Bali. A long drive is required to reach it. The hike is no different, which generally takes three to four hours of strong hiking, crossing the river and again some trekking through jungle. However, you’re effort will be rewarded because you won’t see many of other visitors. Not everyone has the patience to get that far to see a hidden paradise.

It was such a great experience, however be ready for hundreds of stairs back and forth. Don't go there if you have heart problem, or health problem because it's quite "physical". Take a local guide it's 100k per person, they are very helpful and it worth it.

Definitely a must see when you visit Bali! The drive is about 2 hours from central Ubud, so it's worth making a day trip out of the visit. We visited Jatiluwih Rice Fields on the way home which is also beautiful and a must-see!

The road to reach the waterfalls is steep and winding (quite nerve wracking!) so I would definitely NOT recommend biking up, rather hire a driver for the day (about 600-700k).

Lots of steps mostly downhill to reach the waterfalls, but the sight when you reach them is simply magnificent and swimming at the bottom is a must! Good walking shoes for the trail and booties for the swim are recommended as the stones can be quite sharp and slippery.

Going back up to the parking area is not for the faint-hearted as the steps are steep and plenty. However, once you reach the ticket office you can get a lift back to the parking lot on scooter (we paid 25k each) which is a dream after all the walking.

Like others have said- you don't need a guide and can just ask locals along the path to direct you when you come to a 'fork' on the trail - they are very friendly and happy to help.
Also, the big "Registration" sign is a hoax and not necessary. You should drive about 8-10 minutes further from this spot to the main parking where you begin the walk from.

My legs were stiff the next day but made for a perfect excuse to get a Balinese massage :)

Waterfalls were wonderful and a great experience. However, we paid for a guide package as we parked our motorbikes at the first stop. ROOKIE ERROR as it was not worth it. As soon as we started to walk down towards the waterfalls, it was obvious that we could have done it without the guide etc. Hopefully the money we paid actually goes to help their families as it cost us 300,000 Rupiah. Entrance to the waterfalls costs only 15,000.

The guide was useful as he helped my girlfriend over slippery rocks and steep stairs but other than that he didn't do much else.

In summary, beautiful place but be wary of the steep prices that the locals try and charge you!

The fall itself is really nice! Definitely go there, but watch the touts! You won't need a tour guide or anything. It is a sealed walkway with stairs that is easy to find once you parked at the car park. But don't leave anything in the car! They've stolen our stuff out of it even the driver waited at the area after we refused to accept their offer.

A stunning, breathtaking waterfall in the mountainous region of Bali! It's a long drive from the southern beach areas so be prepared for that and it is a long walk down (and back up) but definitely worth it so you can feel the spray from the Sekumpul waterfall as it cascades down the rock face! Close by you will also find the Fiji waterfall which has three distinct waterfalls from some 40 metres. Yes, there is a guide set-up and a cost associated but this goes towards the maintenance of the well trodden path and the surrounding environment so I didn't mind contributing. Definitely worth the day trip for this wonderful experience!

This waterfall is beautiful, just as everyone else has commented. It gets 4/5 instead of 5/5 stars simply because of the annoying touts who try to make up excuses to convince you to pay for a guide. DON'T pay for the incredibly overpriced guide. It's easy to see this waterfall on your own.

Hari Anggono (08/07/2017 16:22)
I think it's the best waterfall in Bali and relatively untouched. Enjoy its fresh air, amazing view, and little sweat from trekking to the waterfall.

It's totally a must visit place in Bali if you like nature.

Augie Wikananda (03/06/2017 02:24)
The view in this place is so beautiful.. i loved it.. you can see twin waterfall and triplet waterfall in this place.. total there are 5 waterfalls here..

Georgi Sariev (28/05/2017 01:45)
The best waterfall In Bali with amazing view and a lot of rainbows 🌈. It is not very nice the way they tell you that you can't use your bike to go to the nearest point to the waterfall and they asking for 50 000 Rupiah per person that is including guide, donation and ticket because the ticket is just 5 000 Rupiah and you can reject their offer. Just don't pay in the first enter because the ticket office is down very close to the waterfall. Enjoy

WOW! Woowww! Fascinating waterfall! 85m and 95m! The water is so strong. Met a really nice guide, Adi. Very helpful and know which way is the safest. Always remind us before we step and of course what to do and what not to do. Took a lot of nice picture for us. I would recommend to pay for a guide. It's really not expensive and they earn their living expenses from guiding people. Staircases are quite steep. Not for elder people and kids if I may say.

Tomas Olevsonas (01/05/2017 05:32)
Great views and feeling especially on hot day! Avoid guides and if you come with scooter ignore official parking spot and come closer to the entrance which is located near Spice Warung. You can even drive down little bit and save your energy for walking to waterfalls. Enjoy!

Michał Górski (19/04/2017 01:15)
The best waterfall I've ever seen! You must visit this place. It's like Jurassic park and you can even swim under the waterfalls. Amazing! The entrance of very cheep - like 5000 Rp. While going to the waterfalls you can try special green Indonesian pancakes with plan sugar and coconut.

Marcin Jędrowiak (16/04/2017 17:28)
There is scooter parking down close to the waterfalls. Great view. You can swim.

Jason Zhang (13/04/2017 07:09)
Marvelous, but the location is really far away,if u got car sick ,be well prepared for those winding road !The waterfall itself will blow ur mind !!!

Matěj Bajer (10/02/2017 09:15)
It's one of the most beautiful places that I have seen in Bali. It's clearly awesome. When I was here I was like "Am I in the Jurassic Park or what?" You really need to see that. I think these a the most beautiful waterfalls in Bali.

Nathan Rosales (23/01/2017 19:13)
Athletic but not strenuous hike to the bottom and back up. There are stone steps to navigate, and deeper into the canyon they are slippery with moss. Hiking water sandals are best (i.e. Keens). Very beautiful and well worth the hike!!

Pauline Lim (09/12/2016 15:08)
Gorgeous views, unspoilt nature. Steps are steep but it is not too far to get to. Bring your slippers and a change of clothes to allow a dip in the cool waters or to dry up from the waterfall sprays.

Nihir Morzaria (02/12/2016 09:36)
There are so many waterfalls in Bali, it's hard to choose which one to go to. After having been to many, this one is my favourite. It still a little more quiet than the most popular spots and the actual waterfalls themselves are beautiful. It's not pristine or perfect, and there some legwork to get to them, but it's worth it.

Leigh Hardy (19/11/2016 10:47)
Don't need a guide. Two rivers converge:2 waterfalls upstream from left and 3 from right. Genuine slice of paradise to see these. Have to wade through the streams, so come dressed prepared.

Chris Cadosch (11/09/2016 06:34)
Most beautiful waterfall I've ever seen in my life!

When you arrive on the parking (2'000.-) you're asked, if you like to have a guided tour to the waterfall. We took one and it was absolutely worth the money! They explain you different flora and fauna, take great pictures for you and watch your things while you're swimming in the waterfall pool.
At September 11th 2016 we payed 150'000.- Half of the money goes to the guide, half of the money goes to the community. With this money they build stairways, clean everything and even built some bridges.
You don't have to take the guide and you can find the waterfall yourself, but in my opinion it's absolutely worth the money if you made such a long drive/ride to this beautiful place.

Jack Eastes (01/09/2016 07:39)
Simply amazing! I was initially unsure if I wanted to make the long trip from Ubud to this waterfall (about 2-3 hours), but I am extremely glad I did. In fact, this waterfall ended up being one of my favorite things in Bali.

We woke up early, hired a driver for the day, and arrived to the waterfall around 9:15AM. The parking lot was virtually empty at that time and once we got down to the waterfall there were only a few other people there. We had the pool at the main waterfalls all to ourselves for a refreshing swim.

I was originally planning to not take a guide, but changed my mind when we arrived in the parking lot. The guide charges 200,000 IDR ($15USD) and half of that is a donation. Some say the guide is a scam and not needed. Do you need a guide? No, you don't. Was it nice to have a guide?
Yes, actually I thought it was. The guide was very friendly, pointed out tons of tropical fruit trees on the hike down, and gave us a little history about the village of Sekumpul. He also carried our bags and watched over our belongings while we were swimming. When you consider that this cost about $15 USD for 2 hours, and half of that is a supposed donation, I was quite fine with it.

Overall, Sekumpul is a must visit. If you are like me, and have ever wanted to swim in a jungle waterfall, this is the perfect spot to check that off the list!

Jehra Hassan (27/08/2016 18:45)
Most wonderful. Quite long journey to this village. But the road is good. There is another lemukih waterfall could be access by 3 min walk. Im not sure is it better to came down from lemukih or sekumpul village. I did it from lemukih, really long walk from ticket point to the waterfall.

Carla Silva (23/08/2016 09:29)
It was simply amazing. Took us some time to get there, but it's so worth the trip. Be aware that you'll have to go down loads of stairs (more than 500), and back up again. You can swim in the waterfalls.

Gede Widiawan (19/08/2016 16:18)
