This place is super cute. It truly is hidden away but well worth the visit. My wife and I randomly found this place and were able to get a table. Like the other reviews stated, it’s only a few tables. We arrived and they have a beautiful little welcoming message on the table for us. We opted to get the Rice Table which included apps and dessert to accompany 6 main dishes, all traditional Balinese cuisine. Did not disappoint. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Again, if you are in the Lovina area I would say this is a must if you enjoy amazing food and environment.

Great place to hangout. Beautiful design and garden with beautiful music and interiors. Terrible, really terrible vegetarian food.
And since the most important purpose of a restaurant is good food so I find one star is sufficient for this restaurant.

Absolutely delicious food and lovely relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
I highly recommend the homemade spring rolls with homemade satay sauce for a starter, fantastic. They serve a good mix of authentic balinese dishes as well as more traditional western ones. Good selection of wine and some beer. We ate the local white fish for mains and it was excellent.
There are only 5 large round tables that sit about 6 places, so it's great for both a private meal, or a group.
Compared to other mediocre restaurants it may look expensive, but taking into account the exchange rate it was an absolute steal.

The experience was phenomenal, the setting was small and beautiful. And when I say beautiful it was stunningly beautiful, every little thing was amazing, there's only a few tables and they use every millimetre of that place perfectly. It's run by a family and the service was outstanding. They picked us up from our hotel for free and we're super kind through the whole experience. There was the cutest set up, the table had a cute greeting, my fruit mix drink (which tasted great) had the nice garnishes. The food was fantastic! Crazy good! Better than anything I've ever had at a restaurant, here and in New Zealand. The textures, tastes, the spice, the presentation. Amazing. Best dinner service ever, world class.

Best desserts ever, go for black rice pudding and banana cream. Food was fine, but it could be better for the price. Restaurant is very nice, and everybody was very nice.

More on the expensive side, but worth every penny, and worth a visit if you want to impress your SO. book in advance (we called earlier during the day), they need to prepare your table.

Highly recommended little gem
We tried several times to book a table for the same evening but failed. Finally, on our third attempt we managed to get a table (3 days in advance) – yessssssssss!
To cut a long story short: Secret Garden is easily the best restaurant we went to in Northern Bali. Not only is it nice to dine in a very private setting (only 5 tables), the garden iself is lovely, service is excellent and food was great. A true gem.
+ Nice food
+ Private, almost romantic setting with only 5 tables
+ Off the beaten track
+ Nice, relaxing atmosphere
+ Great service, helpful staff
Hard to mention a downside. If I had to I would say that the desert was average. But hey, who would expect Balinese to meet Swiss standards in terms of chocolate cake!?
We paid 606,000 Rp for 2 adults and 1 kid (if you pay with credit card they add 3%), so not cheap for Balinese standards, but totally worth it.
I think it would be great to protect this hidden gem from the usual crowds, but in this case, and as there are 5 tables only, I cannot more than recommend it highly.

The best restaurant in Lovina and probably Bali. Possibly the Universe. They provided a free pickup and drop off service which was wonderful and vital (if you've ever walked the streets in the area, you'll know why). They only have five tables so best to book ahead. The food and service are top notch. The price only reflects the quality of both (circa 1M Rupiah for a three course meal for two with drinks).
Romantic and secluded with the personal touch.

Romantic ambience, excellent dishes and good sized portions. A little bit pricey but definitely worth a visit! Staff is super attentive and nice.

The secret garden is set in a secluded garden setting as the name would suggest. Everything here is just right starting with the free transport service. You need to book because there are only 5 or 6 tables set in the garden and it is often booked out. We have been here several times with friends and tried many things on the menu which has a good selection of local and western food and everything was first class. There is a good range of drinks available including juices beer wine snd spirits. The toilet is spotless and worth a visit even if you don't need to use it. The husband and wife team that run the place are the nicest people you'll find anywhere and deserve the success the Secret Garden is having.

Excellent restaurant tucked away. We were lucky enough to get a walk in table. Excellent food, presentation and service. A must when visiting Lovina. The take home service is also a very nice touch. Very impressed!

Only 5 tables, so better reserve early. Pick-up service available from anywhere around Lovina. This family-run gem of a place knows how to take care of their guests!

The best Restaurant in the North of Bali
Excellent attention to detail. Immaculate from the minute you walk in - the welcome, perfect set out garden, table layout with intimate lighting. The food was sensational.
Wine list could offer more.
I went there twice in 1 week and will go again when I return back to my house in Bali.

The smile of the driver from the free PickUp service was like sunshine. He Picked us up after we made a reservation (you have to know, they are only open for dinner). The Family who runs that beautiful place is very nice. It feels like the known you forever. treat you like their familiy. The fodd is fantastic. You can see smell and taste the effort on the food. The Husband is a perfect host and the wife a very good cook. Best dinner we had in bali so far.
We spent almost 3 hours their without noticing the time. After that they brougt us back to our place.
We will be most likly visit it again.

Highly recommend this place if you're in Lovina. It really is located very secretly. The restaurant has very special atmosphere as there are only 4 tables. Service is great and the food is very nice and freshly prepared. It is more expensive than average, but you are paying for experience and individual service. Plus you're picked up and dropped back to your hotel. Very high attention to detail and warm welcome.

Secret Garden was my favorite dining experience in Lovina and perhaps all of Bali. It is intentionally small and intimate, which allows for attentive service and high quality food. I highly the recommend the avocado juice/smoothie for a surprisingly good treat you may have never tried. The ambience is great for conversation and it the setting is beautiful, tucked away from the busy streets. The owner is incredibly kind and caring. I would visit again without hesitation.

A lovely little garden restaurant with pleasant staff. Amazing fresh juices. A little pricier for Bali, but well worth it! Paradise spot in Lovina.
