Puri Lumbung is always a great place to stay. Totally relaxing and easily accessible to many good treks. The restaurant is a nice place for dinner. The cottage also invite their local Legong dancers to perform at their small theatre.

A beautiful hotel settled on the hillside of a mountain in Munduk. These cotttages are lovely. They are authentic Balanesian houses. The grounds are just so well kept and full of color. Lots of butterflies everywhere. The restaurant is very good. We did the cooking class, bike ride and basketweaving class too while there. All were excellent ! I highly recommend this place.

Gorgeous grounds! I had the bungalow right in front of the pond. It was so relaxing reading on my balcony and watching the birds splash and play in the pond below. The grounds also had so many quiet and beautiful spots where I could meditate. And the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I didn't know how to eat the passion fruit and dragon fruit that I had bought at the market; so the lady at the front desk showed me how.

If its good enough for Bowie.... get up early and do the waterfall walks before anyone else gets there, take the locals track! Ask @ reception

Will definitely go back to Munduk and stay at Puri Lumbung. David Bowie and Iman stayed here in 1996 and the place is a whole village with all kinds of cabin, apartment and cottage accommodation in the rice fields with expansive views.

A very good hotel in a lush environment. Their Sunset Bar with free Balinese cakes in the afternoon is amazing, with the view of the sunset. Make sure you check your room though, because every room has different design and some of them are a bit weird.

The view and the location is AMAZING! The breakfast buffet was very good, the staff is very attentive and helpful and speaks perfect English, and the cottages are lovely and spread out, which gives you a lot of intimacy. However, it is in my opinion slightly overpriced, and for that price category I would definitely expect a swimming pool.

North Bali, overlooking breathtaking clove plantation, layers of mountain, gushing water
On the way to Puri Lumbung Cottage, we stopped at Puncak Bagus Café, then another stop at Ngiring Ngewedang café. It was so long on ascending road, almost thought this was my spiritual journey. Puri Lumbung Cottage is an old place, with red brick and woods. The Switzerland family that built the place was honored in carved stone tablet. The huge complex is built on ascending grounds. Trees are allowed to grow , hiding villas behind stone fences, already covered with moss and ferns. Dhyana garden (lit. wisdom garden) is for watching fullmoon, stars, sunrise, and sunset. A small shrine to worship white Ganesh. A fine-made, human size four-arms Parvathi goddess statue near an opening. Still part of this huge complex, descending rice terraces hide another complex of villas. The view to layers of mountain is a mind opener.
There is a sign to the waterfall but we didn’t go there.
Went to different part of the place, we saw wooden villas with different architecture, looks like a joglo-style buildings. I am not sure if this is known in Balinese architecture.
The restaurant is viewing to the lush green mountains but distracted by electrical poles.
There was sudden shower and it feels so soothing.
