Bali is a popular tourist destination, which has seen a significant rise in tourists since the 1980s. Tourism-related business makes up 80% of its economy. It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking and music. The Indonesian International Film Festival is held every year in Bali. In March 2017, TripAdvisor named Bali as the world's top destination in its Traveller's Choice award.

They just need to preserve the sea (plastic everywhere) and avoid mass tourism. If they succeed... one more star next time I`ll be back.

Wonderful Place. We went there for our honeymoon and the experience was too too good. People are too polite and courtesy. Full of nature. Overall a perfect travel destination.

Brilliant, diverse holiday destination with lots of fun activities to do and amazing places to visit. The diving is immense and the people are extremely helpful.
That said ensure you haggle with everyone and only use taxis with meters for short journeys because there is still a lot of people looking to rip off unsuspecting tourists.

Bali was oke! you can do everything in this island! you can party or you can just enjoy the view! Or the best thing that you can do is chilling with me on the beach with bonfire and beer and of course with my guitar 😊

No question that places like Bali or other tourist attractions around this world overcrowded and locals started to 'focus' on money (pity). I have learn to avoid the crowd in organising right timing, not to join the tour busses if not necessary (because cheap or lacking of time). Now back to BALI. Bali is really something special, the people, their culture, their arts, their handicrafts, their temples, their foods and THE MIX of different cultures to create something new in arts, dresses, architectures and so on. That's why people often talk about Balinese's style. That's why Bali attracting many artists from all over the world. What makes Bali special in comparison to Island like Boracay (Philippines), Maldives etc. is the combination of everything, not just the beach. Kuta in Bali as example is place I would try to avoid unless you like to have parties and crowd. If you just interested in Beach only, but not in arts, cultures, temples, foods and the mix, avoid Bali and go other island around this world or hire a 4WD to travel along Australian coast, you will find a lot of beaches for you alone (NOT Bondi beach). We did it.

There are no enough words to describe how much I adore this place. It has touched me in so many levels and ways. Once i visited Bali, i am changed. The way i see life and this earth has changed. Bali is definitely more than just an island. I can't hardly wait to be back in two months.

We love Bali. Why? Because it is one of these rare places in the world, where everyone is welcome and everyone can find a holiday that suits their preferences and budget. Beside the colorful culture, friendly Balinese, and spectacular nature, you can find an incredible variety of restaurants, hotels, activities.

This place is lovely to visit and many beautiful places but since I've recently visited, on 3 occasions some of the locals have become very rude towards me and my Indonesian friends from Java. I have no idea why but this never happened before. A tourist at the next room of the hotel I was staying got his motorbike, phone and wallet stolen. Bali used to be nice but it has gone worse recently especially in Kuta and the rest of the south. I hope this doesn't continue.

There are no words to describe what a magnificent island this is... it captures your soul from the minute you land and it doesn't let go once you leave. It touches all of your senses in a way only Bali can... we have traveled to many places and this is by far, an unforgettable experience. We loved every single second and are already planning our return. Just go, you will not be disappointed.
