Love it... Love it so much..
One of favorite places to eat for President Joko Widodo. The price is quite affordable. About the taste of food? It's so delicious. The gravy or sauce tastes so good, savory, and fresh.
What I need to remind you is the popularity of this place. This place will be very crowded during the weekend. This place is very possible to be busy visited during the holiday season.
Another thing I need to remind you is the parking lot. Since this place is in the alley, there is only one parking area that is close enough. However, you should be ready to park your vehicle on the roadside. When I had lunch at this place, I had to park my car in a vacant lot not far from the location. Perhaps this vacant lot can be used as an alternative vehicle parking lot.

Cheap price, good service.
They have 4 choices for selat.
Selat bistik (chopped beef), selat lidah (cow's tongue), selat kuah (the brown sauce) and selat saus (the red sauce).
The restaurant is inside a small street but there is a small sign on the side of main road.

The most famous selat in Solo. Rasanya enak, dagingnya besar2, tempatnya unik dan menarik. Tempatnya agak masuk ke dalam gang di kampung, tapi semua terbayarkan oleh hidangan yang rbak dan lezat

Nostalgia selat. Tidak ada yang berubah dari rasa selatnya dari waktu ke waktu. Tempatnya nyaman, ada pilihan lesehan atau duduk di meja. Tempatnya di dekorasi klasik dengan deretan keramik.
Pelayanannya cepat. Porsinya mengenyangkan. Rasa selalu membuat ingin kembali.

The most unique decorating dining place I've ever been. Including their waiter's uniform 😂 That's their trademark though. The restaurant is located in the narrow street that pretty hard to find. And the Selat, classic! 👌

Ceramics everywhere, we can buy them. Little dirt in some corner but its okay. Various snacks serve on each table. They have some kind selat that we can choose. I choose meet, it's very delicious.

I will not go there again, sorry. Dining place is dirty, floor is dirty, outside has bad odour. The plates of diners before me are still there on the table even when I left. No tissue. Food is served cold, taste is ok. Doesn't take long before the order comes. Positives are easy to find parking (it's on a one way small alley), and the cashier is friendly and responsive. Price is so-so. Order flow: first you must find a table (it is numbered), put that table number and your name on ordering sheet, and give it to waiter.

Restaurant with museum arrangement, there were too much things that doesn't related to their foods, which make the space too small to sit and enjoy the food properly. The price a bit over compare to the taste and it size. Placed in the middle of neighborhood with small alley. Its a well known restaurant though

Nice traditional food from solo. Meat and soup. Nice and unique place cause many craft present well.very polite and nice people. Wacth children when play arround. Many stuff if they broked it you buy it.

Sup matahari and selat bistik. Was nice meal for my brunch. But taste a little sweeter. Ice kunir asem is not recomended. Place and artistic is very neat!! Recomended place to visit. I enjoyed.

1st time trying selat solo. People says that this place serves the best selat solo. The taste was OK for me. The place is unique, there was many vase and also mirrors. The waiters was also wearing a very colorful uniform.

It's a Indonesia-Western fusion food. A kind of steak with lots of thin gravy. It had beef meat, fried potato wedges, carrot and cucumber. It's peculiar and perhaps acquired taste. I used to eat steak but this dish is something else between steak and soup, I don't know.
People say that this place is famous. Well, they have picture and signed plate from famous people of Indonesia.
Oh, the place is kind of small and they have lots of fragile ornament, like porcelain vase, plate every where. So, watch it. If you're come with kids, I'm not recommending this place.

Opini saya, terlalu overrated. Then again, ini pertama saya makan selat. So maybe memang rasanya seperti ini. Recommended untuk yg penasaran.

I like to eat here, very very like and i suggested you to try this one! You must try "selat" and "gado-gado"...They have traditional drink, coconut ice,fruit ice, soto, etc......beside the delicious food, the place is also good,traditional,ancient and reflects the culture of Indonesia . There are many traditional decoration (craft) such as paint, pottery, big hand fan, plate decor, mini statue, tradional ceramics etc. They also use coconut shell.

It's one of famous local food in Solo. It's full of people, and it's located inside a small alley. So, it's difficult to find a parking spare. It's quite good, but it just doesn't match with my taste. But perhaps somebody else would find it delicious.

My must visit whenever in Solo.
Cute ornaments for the interior.
Crowded at lunch time. So come early or even a bit later to avoid waiting for your table.

clean, nice theme with all those ceramics, nice and polite servers, GREAT taste of foods, nice avocado smoothie. Like really, was a good and fresh food in a hot day in Solo, and it is served lukewarm, because it isn't supposed to served HOT. doh-__-

Worst cuisine ever, i think better eat salt with egg than this, unpleasant place full of ceramics, and hot. Tengkleng near klewer market much way better.

I know this place is popular. The atmosphere is great. But I can't stand how sweet all the dishes are and a lot of the soupy ones are served lukewarm, so it's 3 stars for me.

Full of ceramic decorations, includes chairs, tables and other stuff. Menu were delicious especially for traditional food, but for the price is quite expensive for backpackers. Table arrangements were confusing and not considering space between customers. But if you want to enjoy their collections of ceramics stuff you came to the right place.
