Once a prima donna of the Ministry of Mining and Energy (now Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources) as a pioneering airfield at Cepu, this airfield was projected to provide transporting service for eminent figures of the ministry & oil companies' staffs who work in Cepu.
Unfortunately, along the way of decreasing activities towards this vicinity has made this airfield pretty much abandoned. There are talks to reviving this airfield, yet it need to be confirm to the authority and the need of the government.
