Since the hotel location is a bit far from town (around 20 mins by car), it’s perfect if you’re looking for some quiet and peaceful place. What I love most about this place is that this hotel has a direct access to the beach, so you can enjoy sunset right away by simply opening your door room. I also enjoy to spent the night in the restaurant since it has an open area by the beach, so you can relax while listening to the sound of the waves, with beers and some good friends. They also rent some canoes for 100.000 rupiahs for an hour rent. However the amenities provided is not much they only provides the basic amenities. I brought my own hair dryer but when I turn it on the lights went out LOL. Apparently I need to turn off my tv and A/C first before turning on my hair dryer. The food is great, I love the taste, I stayed in three different hotels while in Bajo so I can say the food here taste great compared to the other hotels.

Sylvia Resort is a nice place to stay for a decent price. We stayed in a Villa, found that the water pressure was lacking but otherwise it was a nice stay. The staff is great, although sometimes feels a bit disorganized. Although the internet is almost noon existent, that's probably a good thing because it helps you disconnect. Restaurant is decent; I didn't worry about the food quality at all, and the prices are good. For really good food you'll want to head into town. The shuttle in was pretty decent, couple bucks each person, or a taksi for about ten. Would suggest a bit more attention to the beach, garbage tends to be more common than ideal, but it's not the end of the world. If you're visiting, hike to the top of the hill by the main entrance. Takes about 5 mins but there are some really great views. Also, paddle boat rentals are cheap; do yourself a favor and rent one for a couple hours to explore the islands around the resort. We managed to see some monkeys and lizards and check out some cool coves and beaches.

.the place quiet cozy and the service in the restaurant is very slow we have to wait a long time and we have to call a couple of times to the staff if we need something. But the staff is smiling and greeted you that's good thing..

Very basic room. Decent shower. No toilet paper when we arrived but staff brought a half roll. A/C was weak. Quiet place to sleep for a few hours in between excursions by our tour guide.

Awful. I am honestly surprised but how awful our experience in Sylvia resort was. We couldn't even swim in the beach because of how filthy the water was. The rooms were in poor condition, bed linen and towels had big stains, the bathroom was smelly and the shower head would fall off as soon as the water was started, there were bugs crawling down the walls and I woke up the following day with my legs covered in bites. The service at the restaurant was super slow and the offer was definitely overpriced. Breakfast was just bad, in any standards, fruit trays had a cloud of flies flying around. Pffff... I could really go on but I think you can get an idea. No, nope, NO.

The Hotel is good but the service very poor, especially staff on the Restaurant. They tend to Ignore guest. They just talked each others by themselves and did not want to respond when guest asked for something.

Recommended Hotel & Resort. The hotel has some type of room, private beach, private dock, and provide free canoe, swimming pool with sunset view, beautiful beach at night. If you have more budget, you can rent a private speed boat and visit some beautiful islands around including Komodo island.
It is far from centre of city but the hotel provide shuttle bus (not free).
This place is recommended for family and children.

Very nice resort. I enjoyed my stay there after doing going on a dive trip and before flying back to Bali. Quiet, relaxing atmosphere with very nice pools. House reef was there, but visibility was poor that day. Very nice restaurant on premises with inexpensive pricing. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to unwind after doing diving liveaboards.

Rooms have nothing exceptional and even a bit dirty. However the view and private beach access compensates. Slightly far from any facilities such as shopping places and restaurant. Taxi fees to take you to town are overpriced

Great tranquil setting with the beach villas right in front of the sea. The beach is amazing, clean and white sand. Staff extremely friendly. Breakfast although plenty of choice unfortunately is a bit low on quality. Restaurant although very quiet was very goof local food and reasonably priced.

Cleanliness of the rooms is quite good. The worse is the resort far from town and no public transport and shopping place there. But it's a good place for people who want solitude

Noelia San Juan Fernández (22/08/2017 05:00)
The room is clean and right but the breakfast is very poor... And we had the transfer included to the hotel and they did not come to take us and we had to pay by ourselves...
There are better hotels in labuan bajo for this place

A larger complex north of Labuhan Bajo. On the first view the complex seems modern and clean, but soon you will spot dirt in a many places. While the beach is clean, there is trash lying in the grass between the bungalows and the flower beds. The entire complex has little charm.

The staff is very nice and helpful. The resort provides a shuttle service during the day which is rather cheap (25.000IDR/person) in comparison to other transportation options.

I would say the value is just about okay.

The location is just by the beach. Very good for relaxing. Has a swimming pool but prefer to swim right in the beach. Unfortunately, many plastic waste in the water, probably not from the hotel. But, needs control to maintain a clean and healthy beach. Staff are friendly, food is okay, and view is exceptional.

This is a really nice hotel. They have private beach that's so beautiful and quiet. The room is a bit old, air-conditioner not so cold, but they serve good food with affordable price. They have shuttle to airport and center of the city. What else? I wanna come back!

Kathy McCloskey (28/06/2017 12:21)
Sylva Hotel is a lovely relaxing place to stay, staff are very friendly & helpful with shuttle taxi everyday to Labuan Bajo & to Airport. We highly recommend it if your looking for a quiet secluded beach for snorkeling.

Our stay was amazing. Clean rooms with hot water shower. Food at the restaurant was lovely and not expensive. Can recommend to anyone looking for a great stay

Sylvia Resort is one of the better options to stay in near Labuan Bajo Airport. The location of the property is the top most aellig point as it is not far from the airport and also gives a direct access to the beach. The rooms are pretty good along with decent access to WiFi. Although, when you are there, try getting a room close to the pool area to get WiFi access in your room. Farther rooms don't get WiFi access unless you step out. The food is decent though cheaper and better food can be had in local restaurants. Also, the hotel offers drop facility to the airport at a very cheap price. All in all, a very good place to stay on budget while in Labuan Bajo.

A nice resort if you dont pay attention to detail

Marc Emond (12/04/2017 12:42)
Let's start with failing to meet us at the airport. The TV stopped working after 10 mins. Peep hole in the door. Electricity turns off every time you leave your room so air conditioning switches off and you come back to a hot room and no devices will charge if you are not there.

Room was dusty, remember this room costs alot of you hard earned money.

Food..... There is a 10% government charge and a 11% service charge, there fore i expect good quality food. I am still here as i write this and i have just sent a chicken curry back as i asked for spicy and it was sweet and cold. My wife asked for gado gado what came out was a cold potato salad at best she asked what it was and was told it was Western gado gado ????

Sadly if it wasn't for the view we would be gone. Oh and WiFi is very poor.

Beautiful resort, kind people, nice strand or beach, swimming pool

Inggita Notosusanto (07/02/2017 16:13)
This seaside lodging is capitalizing on the sunset view - but it needs to improve its service - the rooms are far apart and it's hard to get assistance when the hot water stops working - even breakfast is not ready when it should.

Игорь Дедков (04/02/2017 02:12)
Best choice for those who likes snorkeling and beach holiday. Sylvia resort also have kayaks, speedboats, ski jets, swimming pool and very nice clean rooms with wifi

Kevin Septian (18/01/2017 14:40)
Amazing view from the lobby, the po, the restaurant, and even from in front of the villa look hotel. They designed it really well. They alao have private beach and reasonable room price.

Simple resort by the beach. Quiet and nice to relax, beach is swimmable with coral reef close by. Quite far from Labuan Bajo. Restaurant is good, but service is very slow.

Yanti Setiawan (16/12/2016 10:54)
This is a resort has a pool in front of the beach, sunset view and, hospitality. It's a modest resort but cozy for couple or family or even group gathering

Patrick Schneeberger (20/09/2016 18:37)
Very quiet place. Awesome view on the beach. Nice & clean rooms

Federica Brunetti (29/08/2016 14:57)
Unfortunately the location is REALLY REALLY dirty ( the dirtiest beach in Indonesia and they don't care ) and the service is poor. Moreover the trip to Komodo or other island are much more expensive compared to what you can find in Labuan Bajo. Don't go.

Its a very good place to spend your time and quite affordable for anyone,, please be more concerned about your surroundings, it need a lot of work to make the hotel more beautiful

Yoppy Hidayanto (21/05/2016 23:50)
Good location, terrible service.

Bieng Soecahya (22/04/2016 06:49)
nice view

Tim Boende (22/10/2015 08:14)
This is a tough one. The location is gorgeous. The bay is stunning. Why would someone build an resort to look like army barracks? And only two of the 20 bungalows have ocean vies, all the others face the back of the one in front? It's awful. And no plants of design features to break up the drab landscape. It's one of the best examples of worst resort designs.

Geoff Hood (07/04/2015 04:29)
Loved it. Perfect spot to get away from the town. Friendly helpful staff. Only downers were the rough ride there and the poorly stocked bar...but the rooms, beach and view more than made up for it. Best spot to watch sunset in Flores? I think so...
