Perfect place to stay and perfect staff to dive with. They will always make you feel safe and comfortable. I was supposed to stay a night, finally dove 27 times in total and stayed a month... I even did a 4-day liveaboard which wasn’t planned at all to get my Advanced diver certification. Best 4 days of my life: great organization, good food, perfect equipment and friendly atmosphere. I’m so grateful for these amazing times spent with Dragon dive! And I’m coming back at the end of the month :)

Very bad stay...in ”deluxe room” very dirty floor, bathroom crazy, water after shower everywhere. Breakfast included very poor, only 2 eggs and bacon no bread. When you go diving, your trip start about 7 a.m. I ask for breakfast to go, receptionist talk me, go to supermarket and buy something. The worst ... very very noisy all night...very loud music from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. every day. In morning beer glasses before the room. You can’t swimming in pool, because is full of training divers. Nothing sleep in night... crazy...i travel a lot, but this was my bad stay in life. Photo on booking old.

As far as hostels go, Dragon Dive Komodo is up there in terms of comfort and quality. I stayed in a private double room by the pool which was well decorated, clean and comfortable. My room was cleaned every day.
The hostel is also ideally located near the main street with restaurants and dive shops.
The only two downers were the internet (it was very poor, at times could not be accessed at all), and the music by the pool was quite loud on Friday and Saturday night, until after 11pm. I'm a light sleeper so this bothered me but if you're into partying, or able to sleep deeply regardless of noise this shouldn't be too much of an issue.
Would recommend Dragon Dive Hostel to persons heading to Labuan Bajo.

Double rooms were spacious and mattress was very comfortable. Atmosphere was cool and relaxed. Location of the hostel is superb, really close to center and right beside the fish market. On to the more negative: Rooms were not sealed so considering all the mosquitos and how likely it is I am bitten , I was not thrilled about that. No hot water in shower and wifi connection didn't reach the room (not a big con but maybe important for some people)

Very cool place, clean and tidy. The location is very close to the harbour and other tourist spots as well. The staff are also friendly and helpful!

Great relaxing spot! Pool is not super clean but nice for cooling down. Rooms clear and big.

Place was alright. Clean beds, bright colorful atmosphere, but pool looked a little too murky. Showers seemed a little less clean than could be. I give it 3.5 stars.

I am only going to talk about the dive shop not the hostel because I didn't stay there.
I have been diving over 17 years & never have I been treated with so much care and attention. I won't name any member of the team specifically because they were all outstandingly attentive and professional. Their equipment is brand spanking new, and they don't operate a 'one size fits all' policy; for example, they have a choice of 5 different masks to suit all face shapes. Their boat is comfortable and tailored to divers. The donuts never stop coming & a scrumptious lunch is thrown in too. In the water every dive master I was with was always attentive & I didn't, for a moment, feel unsafe. I raised concerns about diving in water with current (Komodo is well known for that); so for my first dive they took me to a 'no current' location so I could feel comfortable. Subsequently, whenever we did dive in current, everyone had a detailed pre - dive brefing & the team made sure everyone's concerns were addressed. By the end, even I was happy diving in mild current. The diving in Komodo is world class & the team knew exactly where to take us to see all the underwater action. Don't waste time looking elsewhere, Dragon Dive Komodo is the one stop shop place to go in Labuan Bajo, Flores. Thanks guys! I can't wait to come back ☺

Would be 5/5 for a backpacking place on a budget - amazing location (5mins on foot from the marina), cool pool, nice staff, good vibes, free pool tables and delicious 100k pizza in the evening
Sadly, it was aximum 3/5 for private rooms - very expensive (we paid 1M a night for a room where there was no internet - it didn’t reach there - and the toilet flush broke after the first night and we had to use the shared ones)
Giving it 4/5 overall as it seems to me this is the best place in Labuan Bajo anyway.

Noisy & fairly expensive but pretty hostel. It's new and design is quite nice. Private room are fairly expensive for the local standards but I would say it's pretty comfortable. However, this is 200% a backpackers place, where people want to party all night long. So customers are very noisy. Also, there is a bar by the pool (i.e right next to all the rooms) playing music (loud) non stop from 10am to 10pm.and till midnight on Saturdays. I had no idea about this when I booked so this was utterly disappointing for me to realise that I wouldn't get any rest during my whole stay there.

Stayed in a private room that was very nice. But a bit pricy for what it is: they could add a chair and a small table or at least some furniture to put your clothes. Also for this price in Indonesia you usually get mineral water. With just these little changes it would be perfect. Nice staff, very nice pool.

Way to expensive for the price but has some potential...
The place might look like a backpacker place but it is not. You will pay 230K for a night in a tiny 7 persons dorms without any breakfast included (wifi is really bad although). Having travelled a lot around Indonesia, this place is a bit of a scam to me. The atmosphere is weird, it is hard to describe but, everything is "extra" and quite expensive (e.g. a bottle of water is 25k), there is no real friendly relationship with the owner (graduated from French Business School... which explains few things) and the staff, you are not allowed to bring food or drinks for the outside... all in all you feel like a cash machine.
It is unfortunate as the place has some potential with a deep swimming pool, an interesting decorations and setup. Lowering the price, including the breakfast and being more friendly will make everything better. All in all i believe it is a management issue.

Expensive but Nice

Nice hostel with fancy paintings and a deep pool. Super close to town and probably really nice for scuba divers.
Some dorm rooms are quite old and the wifi kept deleting our sessions after 10min.

Very nice and clean hostel! The staff is super friendly, helpful and happy to talk. The breakfast is delicious too! Dragon dive is located close to the main street and habor, yet far enough away from the mosque, so that you won't be woken up by the morning mess, which usually starts around 4-5ish.
The hostel is very social and the common area is very nice and really invites people to hang out.
And - it has a pool. Need I say more?

Amazing place ! It's one of the most beautiful place in Labuan Bajo ! You can enjoy diving and backpacker life style in same place. The swimming pool is fantastic, and the owners and staffs are very friendly. If you go to Labuan bajo you can't miss this place , close to the night market ! Thank you guys !
