4 star service at a 3 star hotel. We had a wonderful stay. We were late checking in and the welcome drink they offer is only valid until a certain time because the bar closes. The front counter called our room and offered to open the bar and rooftop to drink it. They made it themselves and wet enjoyed a romantic few minutes on the roof.

Clean room and excellent staff, ready to go above and beyond. They helped us arrange a last-minute tour and the price was more than fair. The complimentary breakfast was decent with eastern and western food options, and the rooftop lounge was a nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing. Do note that there's no safe in the room and you need to request mini cooler fridges if those amenities are important to you.

Worth the price. Clean and neat room. Friendly staff. Located at strategic place, lot of eatery nearby.

Lower floors are noisy, you can hear the outdoor traffic. No safe in the room either. Good breakfast, good location too

Hotel is central to Kuching and walking distance to nearly most attractions. No fridge in my room had to ask for 1.Also shower water went everywhere except where it was supposed to. Maybe management should test out first if they won't shower under it don't expect others to. Otherwise a very nice place

Graeme Phillips (29/03/2018 12:50)
Scruffy and dated, overpriced and they know it, wouldn't go back, noisy traffic keeps you awake at night. Edit after manager's response: These things were made aware to you, you did nothing at all.

Stayed herelast year... they have the friendliest staff! always smiling and very helpful. Fantastic view from the rooftop lounge... they had a great cocktail hour promo - not expensive and good quality. Rooms were very comfortable,...has everything you need in a standard Deluxe room.

Great staff, very efficient and friendly. Executive Suite room was large and spacious. Good breakfast, although coffee a bit mild. 5 mins away from Top Spot seafood centre, great place for seafood dinner.

Affordable hotel in the heart of Kuching. Very clean and modern property. Great service. Good selection for breakfast. Easy access to town. Highly recommended.

One of the best customer service. Did a workshop at their rooftop. Nice environment with great view of Mount Santubong. Had a problem with the hall projector and surprisingly the management decided to get a brand new one just for my workshop. 👍🏻

2nd time staying here. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a good spread. Their staff were very helpful. Central location with many shops nearby. They are also an eco conscious hotel! Would definitely stay here again.

Hotel itself was good and staff generally friendly. However, they booked an airport transfer for me for 30 ringgit - a price which I reconfirmed twice while ensuring that they had it available since it was a very early flight. However, on the morning, they got me a taxi instead of the normal hotel shuttle and on reaching the airport, the taxi driver asked for 45 ringgit. On calling the hotel, they feigned ignorance but after the exchange the taxi driver took 30 ringgit and left. I got the impression that he was also misinformed by the hotel.

Update: I have received a prompt and courteous response from the hotel similar to the reply to the review and, since it largely addresses my concerns and shows management's commitment to customer service, I have updated the rating to 4 stars to show an otherwise comfortable and pleasant stay.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff..close proximity to Kuching attractions and food outlets..

Great staff, good breakfast. Spotty internet (but good enough for surfing/email). Lime was the theme but recommended to have more artwork or decoration in public areas. Rooftop lounge has a really nice view of the city. Dinner was good but there was a slight wait when busy on a Sat night.

Lennart Bogaerts (07/08/2016 14:36)
A really clean hotel at the border of the city center. It has small rooms which are big enough for a short stay. The furnish is medium quality, but does not show signs of use.

Julien Peron (23/07/2016 01:47)
The Lime Tree Hotel was a decent place to stay. The rooms were big, and clean. I also liked that they had some eco-friendly incentives such as the lime bodywash in the showers and an optional room-cleaning service. The Buffet Breakfast was amazing with both continental style food and malaysian cuisine. Lots of fruit, juices and healthy options as well. The only constructive criticism I have is that some of the walls could use a new coat of paint, and unfortunately because of the location of the building sometimes the street noise can be a bit much (scooters with loud exhaust etc). The Staff were friendly and the service was great. All in all, a pleasant stay and would stay here again.

Hotel is in good location with plenty of good food around. Service staff is very friendly and polite. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Highly recommended.

This is a good hotel for those on a budget, although there are some issues you'd have to tolerate:
1. Wifi in room was not strong and internet was comparatively slow
2. Bathroom could be cleaner
3. Street noise is an issue
4. A bit of a walk from the waterfront

On the plus side:
1. Breakfast was tasty
2. Staff were friendly
3. Room was clean
