Ok budget place. Ensuite double room has a window you won't open and don't want to see. Extremely Loud music till 11pm coming from concert bar right next to the lodge. Traffic can disturb during the night as well.
Staff is telling lies about hardship to reach sights with public transport to sell tours instead.

If youre looking for a place to stay for a few nights, at a low price, then you can choose this place. Bear in mind that the toilets are not attached in the room. The toilet and bathroom are located at the end of each floor - in short, youre sharing the toilets and place for showering.

This place makes me feel like I was at my own village because they play traditional music from my ethic..this place is full of fun and I really enjoy being here..

Rooms clean no attach toilet. Basic rooms. More for backpackers or single travellers. Good location. Rooms are dark next to car parking lot.

I went there and spent a few nights as a backpacker with three of my friends. The exterior of the building wasn't very promising but they proved themselves as a great place for budget travelers when we stepped into the lodge. The staff was very helpful and the room was more than satisfying for the price you pay for. Thereis an open-air bar with a pool table where you can chill out with friends and enjoy the view of the legendary Temple Street. The strategic location proves to be very helpful if you plan to walk around the riverside.

It is very cozy and homely. Good views and is in city center where you can walk around freely. Highly recommend.

Clean. Breakfast included. A/C. Hot shower. Rooftop bar. In house tour agency. Central location. Cheap. What more do you want from a hostel?

Very helpful and nice hostel personal. There are possibility to book tours in the hostel. Room are clean but are a bit loud, since you can hear the street. Therefore it has a good location.

I was disappointed with our second stay here. Although the internet was terrible both times, the second we had no hot water and the staff were less than accommodating. Good location and clean rooms, minus the mouse feces around the top of our shower on our second stay.

Just visited the bar (which was great) but the hostel looked very clean on the way through! Good place to meet other travelers. They rent mountain bikes downstairs, 30r for a half day and 50r for a full.

A very conveniently located hostel/hotel. Well maintained. Clean and cozy common room. Nice, helpful and friendly staff. Internet is a bit spotty at times and female dorm could use some small lights for lower bunks. Very good place to stay in Kutching.

It is 5 starts for lodge as you can have great home experiences while travelling. This place is clean and you can easily get all necessity you need. Right at the center of Kuching where all nice places very close. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Mix with others during the breakfast - where you can exchange your traveling plans or experiences. Highly recommended.

This is a cute little place in downtown Kuching connected to a tour company that will take you kayaking, to some tribal villages, and to (maybe) see orangutans, etc. Clean and relatively quiet, comfortable beds, but nothing fancy. Breakfast was toast with jam, wifi didn't work, but air conditioning did. Has a funky rooftop bar with (only) cold beer.
In accordance with local custom, you must remove your shoes at the door, which tends to result in 30-40 pairs of shoes at the top of the stairs (there is no elevator).
There are probably nicer places, but there are probably also more expensive places that aren't as nice. I'd stay here again.

We had amazing time there. Rooms are really confortable, the staff is cool and very supportive. Breakfast is good enough. And everything accorded with a reasonable price. Go there, have fun, and visit Tanjun Datu!
