Currently the hospital are under renovation and lack of parking space. Need to park near at Hung Hung Hotel which cost RM5.30 per entry.
Can and bottled drinks vending machine should be place more around the hospital to quench the thirst while waiting for treatment turns.

The Sarawak General Hospital has improved tremendously over the years. With the new wings added and the specialist clinics under one roof, I must say every time I went for my medical appointments it was very crowded. I usually spent half a day there for my appointments. Parking space is just not sufficient. The government should look into provide more parking lots. There are 2 private parking lots outside the hospital compound but these too are also always full. They charge RM5.00 per entry. Therefore illegal parking sometimes is unavoidable.
There is a canteen and other stalls selling food, drink and tidbits. Inside the hospital, on the ground floor, there is a Smartshop selling varieties of stuff including light food and drinks as well. ATMs are available on the ground floor too.

The Sarawak General Hospital, under the Ministry Of Health (MOH) or Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM), has very much improved in terms of services, facilities and also the hospital staffs' courtesy, unlike the old days. As with any government hospitals, which provides free to very minimal subsidised medical charges, overcrowding of patients and visitors pose a major problem, hence, finding a proper place to park your vehicle is also troublesome despite the fact that quite a huge area has been allocated for public carpark.

Good services and nice staffs. I had experience stay back here to taking care of my brother here for one week.
Last time there is no parking problem due to most people come by public transport or sent by relatives. Nowadays, most people can afford buying cars and everyone bring own car, that is the main cause why not enough parking. We cannot blame the Hospital.

Healthcare is not bad for a public hospital. It is, however, like any other public healthcare institution, too crowded.
They should do something about the parking problem. I understand there is private car parks opposite the hospital. But it is still not enough.
There is so much land. Instead of producing more malls and empty shop lots. Invest in a decent car park for your people.
SUGGESTION:
1. Streamline appointment systems since the government has been SCREAMING DIGITAL ECONOMY.
2. Build a multi-level car park. It is most likely still going to be filled but at least ease some of the parking struggles of the sick.

No parking spaces. The place is always flooding comes monsoon season. Dirty places here and there . Had the worst health experience here when get treated. I was very traumatised by Dr. Lee Cha Len , an oncologist here while I was battling with cancer.

I am extremely disappointed that the Government hospital, my father's stroke One week down, can not get a real rest. II came to the ward from the intensive care unit disease is just another improvement in the 3:00 point he moved out. The doctor said he has not yet stable condition, will take good care of him, and had him moved to a general ward. Because my father was a stroke temporarily unable to move the body, there is not even a nurse for him to reverse the body, resulting in bruising his hip. Hospital equipment obviously insufficient even to measure body temperature thermometer are my grandfather was with technology, our equipment is really backward. The majority of interns in government hospitals, you know why? Government hospitals because doctors simply can not make money. So professional doctors to open his own clinic. Government hospitals, private hospitals with a lot of services under the relatively backward. I at sibu .

There is one self-proclaimed doctor-cum-radiologist named Lee Cha Len from Sarawak since her IC no is with state number 13, will come back to Sarawak from Ireland just to attack dental officers posted in Sarawak every year. So dental officers posted in Sarawak, so good for you. One crazy, mentally disturbed psychotic patient coming to you every year. Good Luck =D
