This airport may be lacking in facilities after International Check In but its quiet atmosphere is relaxing and services well organized. Be sure to eat BEFORE you check in for your international departure!

Arriving here is great. It is small but well organized with some good food places and a modern look. For a decent Sarawak Laksa check out the place next to Starbucks on the first floor at the Departures section. ps: the picture is for another food court.

Big airport and comfortable. Can buy drinks at coffee bean and the price are reasonable. The airport needs to improve more on the quality of service. Airasia should have assists customers at the airasia ticket service and our bags always ruin if we use airasia, now recommend malaysian airlines and they offer 30kg baggage

Very nice clean big airport. Serves both domestic and international flights.
Close to the nicest city of Sarawak, Kuching.
Many options for food and shopping.
Especially for last minute souvenirs :)
Easy access from the town.
Friendly staff.
Cheap flights especially with Air Asia

Cozy little airport which is Sarawak's main airport. Amenities, shops etc are sufficient. Feel sorry for those taking international flights in the departure hall as they have no access to shops after immigration. This reflects badly on Sarawak and greatly inconvenienced international travellers. Hopefully the situation will be rectified soon. Airport taxis are expensive but travellers can choose between Uber and Grab.

I'd love their management of airport in here, they're tidy and clean. Their waiting room is quite wide enough. Also they provide many toilet, so there won't be a long queue. Their design quite elegant and transparent. They also provide self check for Air Asia ans Mas Wings flight.

Small cozy airport. If you missed the infamous mi kolok at town, do try at the airport food court. A little pricey but taste good. Using your passport to enter saves more time than filling up the form and giving your Malaysian ID card. The buskers outside arrival area is very entertaining. It is super convenient to check in online and self check-in bags.

Airport has not much facilities in international section. Food and duty free must buy before going in. Small airport better to wait at shopping mall near by. Spring mall Only 11 minutes to airport by GRAB or taxi.

Alan Tiong Et-Ming (21/10/2017 07:02)
Upgraded over the years. The tiles are flawed though. However, it is still a nice cosy airport.

M Shariful Islam (15/10/2017 17:42)
Airport is clean cosy , beautiful, but service not up to the mark, I traveled with my family, I have 2 kids, I traveled from Australia I crossed 3 International airport there was no problem , but kuching airport authority didn't allow my kids toy gun , and milk and water bottle, pitty I had to empty the bottle then they allowed me. Said No Liquid allowed.

never been into the toilet yet so far, clean and good amenities, easy excess of uber around the airport, mcd often crowded if peak season

a pro-tips: if you're on your first time, follow the people who are in the same flight as you to line up for the immigration check in

Numan (05/08/2017 01:58)
Easy to navigate. Hassle free. Plenty of restaurants. Waiting area need bigger space.

The service by the workers here is amazing. They practice the inferior concept and try to help if necessary.

Andrew Samtoy (15/06/2017 00:59)
How did they manage to create such a terrible international departure terminal? And what can be done to fix it? Such are the immortal questions of modern philosophy.

Alice Samtoy (15/06/2017 00:55)
There is nothing for international passengers once you've gone through security and immigration, and no warning that there wouldn't be anything! We were early for our flight, hoping to change money, do some shopping, and get some food/drinks but there was nothing available. Big disappointment.

Cyril Dason (03/06/2017 16:03)
Lovely little airport with fast arrival service. Bags are already ready for collection when you arrive at the bag collection area after clearing the immigration. Staff at the airport are also amazing and very friendly.

Grace Anding (14/05/2017 13:34)
The place is often crowded as flying is not only a better way to travel to cities/towns within Sarawak but also we're in an island so the only way out is by plane. Also, it is quite safe to leave your car for several days at the parking space. Fee is RM24 per day.

Caitlyn Ong (21/04/2017 05:35)
Airport layout is quite easily understood but still needs better and clearer signs.
Customer service staff at the information centre must be trained. They did not understand what to do when I said I am picking up an international shipment. Correct answer is, international shipment is likely to be at MAS Cargo, located at ..... You can call this number (provide Mas Cargo phone number) to check.

Muhammad Syahrin (31/03/2017 08:00)
Has been improve the infrastructure since 2015 touchdown here. Very nice and beautiful here, really happy to come here again 2017. 👍🏻

Liyana Fatini (17/03/2017 22:06)
The service here is good and the toilets are also clean. But on the other side, there's not much sign which makes it harder to find directions im the airport.

Štěpán Komárek (12/02/2017 19:03)
You can buy very cheap SIM card with 10GB for 40 ringits. Good deal. But why the hell is the air condition so goddamn freezing in the departure area?!

Hong Hui Lee (24/01/2017 10:48)
It used to be much better for international department, with access to F&B outlets. Now it's so inconvenient. No access to any food and drinks after custom clearance! The airport authority should seriously consider re-arranging the layout to allow passengers access to F&B.

As I sit here at Gate H9 of Kuching International Airport waiting for my flight to Singapore I wonder just how bad the flow of international passengers are at this airport. I understand the importance of safety and having flown through least 5 international airports around Asia...the flow of passengers at my home airport is appalling! Right after clearing immigration...there is NOTHING! Just a small kiosk selling souvenirs and a sad looking duty free shop. No cafe...no pay per use lounge...nothing. I can't even buy a bottle of water. Seats pre security is also very limited! This arrangement is really sad...despite the new food court and many duty free shops at the domestic departure...international passengers can't spend their last RM on anything nor can they savour the last taste of delicious Sarawakian food! Passengers should be able to clear immigration and go down at gate H7...eat, do their last minute shopping or use the lounge...and come up to clear security! After all...security for international flights are done at the gate! I asked that MAB come and experience the flow of airports and feel for themselves how bad the flow can be sometimes...security is of upmost importance and this is done to segregate international passengers from domestic ones...I get that but it should be balanced with passengers comfort. I can't even fill my bottle of water after clearing security and I have to reclear security if I need the toilet. Granted the longest flight from KCH is only HKG, can't I at least have a bottle of water with me? At other international points of departure...passengers really do make use of their last local.currency to buy and isn't this something we can take advantage off? MAB has been the premier provider of airport services in Malaysia and is renowned around the world so I really hope MAB will look into this and rearrange the flow of international departures. At the moment...this definitely can use some improvements. Thank you.

Good and clean airport. Great design too although it's almost the same like KLIA. But there're only a few stores here. Signboard are also not enough for guiding people to the right place.

Allen Joseph Gomes (11/11/2016 06:37)
Kuching International Airport one of clean & friendly operational terminal for local & Tourists. Having systematic approach and branded Duty Free shop in side of Departure Lounge. Good for food and coffee lover too.

Kevin Khoo (11/09/2016 07:11)
Been visiting Kuching every year for the last 3 years. It's always been pleasant until my visit this year in Aug 2016. They decided to partition off the international departure gates, so NO ACCESS to all shops, cafes and even the TOILETS!!! Would give zero stars if possible.

shirni ong (11/08/2016 06:55)
Only option to town is by taxi. It's around Rm 25- 30 to downtown. No Uber. Grab is almost the same price.

For International departure, please eat first. There is NO FOOD or drinks, nothing. Directly go to your gate. Very sad.

For domestic departure, there is n plenty of food choices.
Air conditioning is very cold. Bring a sweater.

Alex Wong (28/07/2016 00:34)
Beautiful airport. Distance between gates can be taxing. Plentiful of shops.

Yong Yaw Mok (18/07/2016 12:38)
One of the best airport in Malaysia, you get foodcourt, plaza premium and MAS Golden Lounge

Syahmi Khai (07/06/2016 14:06)
Bestnya airport so interesting I am so very loved it

ruddy entri (17/05/2016 14:01)
Recent changes have forced all international passengers to go directly to gate after immigration. This means NO food, No drinks, NO water, and only a bathroom outside of security. There is no notice to passengers that food, etc. is not available once going through immigration. Thus, if you are traveling with a toddler, like us, or pregnant, or thinking you can go through immigration early and get food on the other side (as you could a few months ago), FORGET IT!!! You are forced to stay inside the waiting area for over an hour. Oh, and the businesses inside the terminal, guess they aren't making much money from the foreign tourists, especially the tourist shop next to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.

Kiew Seng Boon (08/05/2016 00:47)
Should provide more seatings in the boarding hall while waiting to board flights. People tends to sit at the cafeteria without ordering and it's inconvenient for those who really orders food to eat.

Joel Lee (21/11/2015 09:01)
Sells layered cake (Kek lapis) at a premium if you missed it in town #stillworthit

Ronald Lepon (04/10/2015 17:07)
Very comfortable facilities. Cheap branded minyak wangi, but for sure, this is not a good place for shopping, drinking water 500ml can cost up to MYR2.50 .. in retail shop you can get it for as high as MYR1.00 only.
