This hotel is a bit tired re furnishing and the carpet really should be replaced. Staff very friendly and helpful. Our first night didn't start that well, room 832 river facing beautiful view except the double room was only equipped for a single person, we had to ask for nearly every item we needed, toothbrush, towel, bathrobe, were also unlucky having arrived without our luggage, what arrived the next day. The staff makes up for the pitfalls, food good and good selection. Besides all the hotel is a very comfortable to stay, with a beautiful view from our room.

Hilton is a wonderful hotel at the heart of the Kuching city. Location is really great as you can find shopping malls, waterfront etc in walkable distances. Staffs are really friendly and helpful. Have to mention the breakfast which was fantastic. Room was spacious with an office table and a comfortable bed. You can make a coffee/tea by yourself. Wifi was really fast.

Probably one of the worst Hiltons around, dated infrastructure, huge shortage of staff, inedible food at the main restaurants, minimum loyalty recognition, only saving grace is the view from the lounge and some rooms. Cant believe this property has been a Hilton for thirty years. Best Avoided.

This hotel are good for couple to stay. It placed in middle of town which you can go at any places without used transportation. It also have a good view at nite. Good of room with nice bed and air condition. Also have best cafe which have too many food for customer to choose it.

Very high class place. Good services & display of good food & drinks. Friendly staff. Parking a bit expensive. Banquet & dinner food is excellent. Cakes very well decorated & delicious. STEAKHOUSE & TOH YUEN very highly recommended. Rooms very high class too

This review is about their Western restaurant "Steakhouse". For me THE place to go for decent and classic Western food in Kuching. No fusion!! The menu is not that big, but there is sufficient variety. The setting has a romantic twist with a nice view on the river. The service is impeccable as can be expected from such a restaurant. Price is of course not cheap, but one gets the real stuff. Instead of wannabees with fusion food. First some warm crunchy bread with butter was served. We shared a prawn cocktail with melon and avocado (big portion can easily be shared). Then had a truly good chateaubriand (of course also for 2) with a choice of vegetables (the spinach was yummy) and potatoes. To end with a deep flavour chocolate cake and coffee. Their red house wine was good too. A restaurant for a leisurely dining out evening.
Although one spends quite an amount of money, Hilton still charges a flat fee for parking!

I were just commenting on the room and facilities at the Hilton Kuching, I'd say the furnishings and location are terrific, but the building is definitely ready for a renovation. The buffet breakfast is first-rate, and well worth including as part of your stay.
But a hotel is more than just a bed, desk, and breakfast buffet, and the staff at the Hilton Kuching stand out for being extremely capable, warm, and dedicated to their guests in ways other hotels can only hope for. We unwittingly put the Hilton Kuching team to the test on a recent stay, where a health scare brought the hotel's doctor and much of the staff up to our room for an impromptu visit. In spite of some language barriers, the team was incredibly helpful, well-trained, and quickly and calmly helped address the situation. Were that the only interaction with the staff, that would have been enough, but it was just the standout event of two visits we made to the Hilton, where we experienced seamless service from check-in to checkout and everything in-between.
While the Hilton could do with some capital improvements, everything is extremely well maintained, clean, and overall a great value. The location can't be beat, and is extremely convenient for the waterfront and walking the city. The Hilton Kuching was a standout experience in our visit to Sarawak, and we'd return in a heartbeat.

Hilton everywhere is Hilton. No question about the room setup and the amenities. Location - still preferred compared to the other few international brands... Just a little used....
Morning breakfast having a great varieties. The bakery stuff is great... Among the hot cakes is the croissant!!!
Having a big swimming pool, now the children pool is opened just that the poolside makan/eatery is not operational.
Recommended if visiting kuching and wanted a better stay.

Dated but we'll maintained hotel situated at the heart of City center. Walking distance to loads of local eateries and point of interest. Rooms are dated however well taken care of. Rooms that facing river gets one of the best view in the city especially for sunset

The morning buffet is very delicious, room service is great. It's such a comfortable place to rest and the price is reasonable.

Aged hotel albeit service is still very good, and location is great. There's a decent gym and swimming pool, as well as an executive lounge.

Best Hotel in Kuching with out a doubt. Upon checking in we were offered to stay in one of their highest level two room suites and it did not disappoint. The view was fantastic! We also made use of their club facilities in which the service level was outstanding!

Very nice and comfortable hotel in Kuching. Room was a little dated but very spacious and clean. Bed was a little hard. Got an amazing river view. Location is convenient with a 7/11 very close by.

Stayed at room 1132..the room is big enough for me, clean & comfy bed. The best thing is the view..facing the waterfront. However the selection of menus for breakfast is quite limited & they served the same menu for my 3 days stay there.

Great position. Wonderful staff. A little dated in some areas. The only issue we had was the breakfast was not as good as at some places we have been to.

This is the best hotel in kuching and value for money. The room and the surrounding area very clean. The restaurant's food is good and price is reasonable. There are ample parking for the guest .

Staff very friendly but property is somewhat dated. Rooms could use a redo, but are still comfortable. Great location and views of downtown and riverfront. Possibly the nicest place in town. Staff, including Noreen and Petrus went out of their way to ensure our every need was met and we were made welcome.

Stayed at the Executive Floor with access to the Executive Lounge. There is good free flow wine and food at selected times of the day. Has a good view of the river and Fort Margherita.

Really like this place for my one week visit.
Bed is really comfortable and there are many facilities as well. Food provided here is good too.
Sadly there isnt much to do nearby. Will be a great place if you have transports to visit elsewhere.

Service is great, staffs are friendly and helpful. Gym is one of the better around the area. The rooms are Abit old though. I would still recommend anyone to stay if you are visiting here.

All the staff helpfull and polite. Well trained. They nice and very friendly. Location thumbs up. The food... 5 thumbs up. Many choices and yummy even at dinner time. The room... so clean ... 5 thumbs up... overall... you will never regret it. ^_^ eppy holiday

Nicely located in town and I had a room with a view on the river. Hotel was very busy. Rooms are a good size. But hotel is old and run down. Shower is inside the bath. I had a stain on one of the pillows. Pool is ok but also old.

Have stayed here a number of times since the mid 1990s. Most recent trip was Aug 2016. Must say that the hotel has always been first rate both in terms of service and facilities.

The grandest hotel in Kuching, though Pullman is newer and larger it doesn't have the old world old money feel of Hilton Kuching. You are going to meet all the notorious politicians coming here for meetings and weddings.

What a great hotel! We had very spacious rooms, with a beautiful view over the river. The breakfast was also relatively good. Not great service if arriving to breakfast late, however the hotel staff were really fantastic when we were in the midst of dealing with a medical emergency during our stay, which more than made up for it.

Hotel has recently gone under renovation so the rooms are tip top, unfortunately the prices have gone up as a result. Overall good quality for the money, just stay away from the chinese restaurant Toh Yuen. Not only are they extremely over priced, but we had to wait a very long time for our food to arrive, and the quality of the food was appalling. The fact that the restaurant was completely abandoned at lunch should have been an indicator to us to stay away.

Typical hilton. Abit old though but still not too bad. Pillows are a bit flat unfortunately.
On a side note, fillet mignon beef at the steakhouse is good!
