Owner is super helpful! Here's a photo of him helping his guests get on the taxi on a rainy day. More than that, the cafe is quiet and cozy. You would need that after having gone through the hustle of Jonker Street.

The location is great, and it is a really cozy place to stay for one or two nights.

Not a good value for money.
The omelet we ordered was a joke

I stayed here for a day. Sam was really nice. A cafe and hostel. No breakfast in this hostel but you can get breakfast with a good price and good taste. Recommended to stay here if you're visiting Malacca for a budget.

Nice ambiance and great food. It's not a long the main street in Jonker so it's less crowded.

One of my favourite hostels in all of South east Asia. Such a unique experience being able to stay in a very hip cafe. Would definitely return if back in Melaka.

Their white Melaka cheesecake is light and goes well with coffee. I don't like strong and cheesy ones, too strong to go with strong coffee. This is my 3rd time to the cafe. Didn't realised the cafe is a dormitory too, will give a go next time.

Small hostel. So feel very cozy and family kind. Mixed dorm room is pretty small but it is connected with cafe so you can hang out at the cafe as well.

Ola Lavanderia has everything you want in a dorm!
•With just 5 beds it's cute!
•It's clean!
•The location is the best you could get!
•Staff (Sam and his wife) is awesome
•You get the opportunity to support a local family.
The Ola Lavanderia cafe serves good coffee and great shakes! And cheap fresh breakfast made by super friendly and fun host Sam.
We initially just booked one night. But after arriving we already knew we would stay longer so we extended right away. And we extended, and we extended! All because of the atmosphere and the vibe that is hanging here!
I don't want to set high expectations but this hostel is the best we had in our 4 months traveling and maybe the best experience ever!
Thanks again so much and when we are in Melaka again we sure stay with you!

I stayed here with some friends for one night and loved it so much we stayed for a second night. The dorm is clean and very modern. The staff is extremely friendly and the coffee is excellent. A nice a relaxing place to stay in the perfect location.

Close refuge from the craziness that is jonker. Quiet and quaint. Not a lot of food option, not really sure why their cheesecake is thing because it tastes like any other cheesecake I've had. The artsy interior is something to be admired by itself though. I came in the middle of summer so I stayed indoors as it can get really hot and humid outside.

Nice, chilled out place (much like the owner) with good simple food. Too bad they no longer provide laundry services but they have replaced it with a nice bed & breakfast.

Great and cheap laundry, takes about a day

Air conditioned with simple but delicious food and very friendly owner.

The place and the owner are nice.
I had a delicious chocolate milkshake and honey/butter pancakes. I was disappointed the pancakes weren't homemade but industrial ones warmed up in the microwave...
The other breakfasts (with toasts, eggs and sausage, or the croissants) looked better.
