Nancy’s Kitchen has been our all time favourite. It’ll be packed on weekends, so get ready to wait between 45-60min. Their food has been quite consistent and quite reasonable price. We love their ‘buah keluak’ as it is specially prepared and cooked till perfection taste. Cincalok Fried Egg is superb.

Good Peranakan Food In Malacca But Make Sure To Call Ahead And Make A Reservation 1st Especially On Weekends And Public Holidays .

Reasonable price and friendly staff. In terms of taste wise, I think it’s a bit overrated. My friend and I ordered 5 dishes in total and we both found the food so so.

Very nice food. Good atmosphere. Slightly on the pricy end.

Very tasty, fast efficient service. Brisk trade. Food flavours excellent! Good value

Place is crowded and had to wait for approx 30 mins. Food is tasty and my mum loves it. The dessert, banana coconut milk (can't remember the name) is very nice.

One of the best authentic Nyonya restaurants in Melaka. Consistently good. Decent portions. Prices are reasonable. Two floors. Super crowded on weekends so make reservations or be prepared to wait. Friendly staff. Lots of parking. Grab some seri muka, bak chang & dodol on your way out.

The food was exceptionally yummy and the servers were very attentive. We were fortunate enough to have Nancy herself come visit our table to see how our meal was coming along as well. Very pleasant.

Nancys cooking course was a pleasure to be on, it was extremely well taught learning two dishes (1 each). My husband and I learnt everything about the ingredients, what the English substitutes would be, and how to store the pastes to keep them at their best. Nancy herself ran it with her sister Lucy too, their friendly nature helped us feel at ease. And the best bit obviously eating all the tasty food plus some additional dishes Nancy provided herself.

Disappointing. Pork was dry and tough. Popiah completely lack of flavour. Even the Petai beans stir fried with prawns were cut into two. Grossly overpriced for that quality

We had the tamarind prawns and pork ponteh and they were both really tasty. Service was fast and the servers are really pleasant. Will definitely be coming back.

quality and taste not up to true blue penerakan standard, simply over rated. And expensive. not worth the queue.

Darell K. Chung (06/09/2017 06:04)
Tasty authentic nonya food here, has that home cooked feel too. Located along a shop house cluster, parking is adequate. Call at least a day in advance to book as queues are long and can take up to two hours during peak hours.

Swee Chee Teo (06/09/2017 05:59)
The chap chye is sweet. The popiah and pie tee are sweet. These dishes are just too sweet for my liking. The rest of the dishes that I ordered are not impressive either.

David Snow (29/08/2017 13:42)
Better queue early in the morning, like me forgot to check for the actual opening time, I came here at 9pm. But they opened at 11AM. 10/10 recommend waiting

JUN MING AN (08/07/2017 03:49)
The restaurant opens at 11am,we reached at 1055am and there are people queueing already. So popular. The food is not bad! Speed of serving is fast and the food is really local! Recommend to you guys!

Goodboyeah (02/07/2017 07:18)
Very disappointed, we were going because of the high rating but after I tried. The food is not deserve that rating. Not recommended.

Annabelle Yh (29/06/2017 17:47)
Pork and fish were not fresh and the pork had a weird smell and taste. Vegetables were too spicy. Only the curry was ok. Not recommended if you are not a spice lover.

Alex Peck (28/06/2017 10:08)
Great quality food, served quickly and in decent portions for the price. We ordered small servings of 6-7 dishes at around RM8 each. The whole lot arrived around 10 minutes later, and each dish was full of flavour, matching the menu description. It was more than enough food for the two of us. The fruit juices were great too, weighed down with chunks of fresh fruit. My only criticism is that, like most restaurants we have visited so far in Malaysia, the meat dishes contained bits of bone and had to be eaten carefully. Unlike many other restaurants in the main tourist district, this place clearly takes a lot of pride in the food they serve and their service.

Authentic Nyoya Food that serve Pork Dishes
Reasonable Price and Taste resembles what I missed when. I tasted my Neighbour Bibi Cooking.. Great Chendol too.. Another place in Malacca worth to come again..

Judy Chan (08/05/2017 16:36)
Overall is fine. The amount of food is not matching with the value of money. A bit pricey in my opinion. The taste of the food is okay. Hygiene of the washroom is still acceptable.

Stephen Abraham (16/04/2017 09:22)
One of the local favorite places for traditional Nyonya cuisine. They have a good extensive menu of traditional favorites. We ordered the Buah Keluak Pork, which was very tasty. This is a must try. Their chicken curry was very good also. And the popiah has lots of crispy pork lard pieces inside, deliciously good. Price was acceptable for the quality. Cendol was nice too. The location is easy to get to, and there is ample parking outside. Nancy the lady boss is very friendly. Will visit again soon.

matt wang (16/04/2017 01:34)
This my 3rd time visit here, the food doesn't taste good as it used to be. Better try other restaurant nearby. And it's over price.

Joey Neo (30/03/2017 04:54)
You can get all the popular nyonya food over here. Great variety of curry dishes too. Good place for family group too.

Michael Tan (21/03/2017 22:33)
Great food. Standard is above par, but better than the peranakan food in most of Singapore. Great thing that this restaurant serves pork. Parking is ample, don't worry about it. There is a queue, waiting time was 15 min in my experience

Robert Weinstein (13/02/2017 04:53)
We, my wife, my son (27) and I, took a cooking class from Nancy. It was excellent. We learned receipts that we were able to replicate, to the delight of our friends, when we got home. Rempah Masak Lemak, Rempah Buah Keras, and Rendang Ayam. She gave us substitutes for ingrediates that we weren't able to find at home. We learned to cut a pineapple to lace like peaces. We were served our cooking after class in her restaurant downstairs .

Henry Ang (11/02/2017 12:30)
Nice environment. Staff is very friendly. Good food.. With their new operating hours over weekends, there's better opportunities to patronize this restaurant during weekend holidaying in Melaka.

Gerald L. (09/02/2017 11:55)
Food wasnt too bad however their portions are pretty small. Not recommended for big groups

Marcus Lee (05/02/2017 13:45)
As a Malaccan, my family would give it a try today as its not crowded like usual. There are two floors in this restaurant, but upstair has a really bad odor and hot, because they only turn on 1 air-con out of 3. So we went downstair for better environment. We ordered buah keluak chicken, the waiter asked how many buah we want. We have no idea, so we are okay when he said 4. We totally no idea that each buah cost additional RM2!!! The waiter should have mentioned it before order! Other dish we ordered are telur (egg) belacan, steam fish nyonya style, itik tim (duck sour soup) and sayur (vege) belacan. Most dishes are very salty and very spicy! There are a lot of Nyonya or Peranakan restaurant which can cook way better than this! This will be the first and the last time we visited here! Will not recommend to any of my friends as well.

Lee Marston (18/01/2017 01:28)
Excellent Nyonya cuisine. A short stroll away from Jonker Walk but that doesn't stop it getting busy, so be prepared to wait after providing your name. The food is worth the wait though so be patient and your taste buds will be rewarded!

phavithra ganaeson (30/09/2016 06:01)
Highly disappointing... Asked for assam pineapple prawn and it came full of ladies finger but no pineapple... Price were not equivalent to the amount of food.. Taste was moderate..service was poor... 🙁

Varieties of Nyonya food at an affordable price

Corinne Leung (18/08/2016 07:10)
Very disappointed. Booked in advance, great expectation but super dissapointed at the end! Chap chye tasteless, black nut pork rib is actually black nut pork bone n if there is meat its as tough as shoe! Wong bok in d soup has dried up holes, telling u they are dying already! Prawns in petai beans are frozen small n soft, never expected Nancy's to give me sliced petai beans!! Angle beans with frozen prawns has been sliced soo long that they have got blacken edges! Totally horrible experience. Never, never will I go back again!

James Tham (16/08/2016 04:48)
Good nonya food, service a bit hectic but all the food came out correct. Tasty. Quite full on the weekend.

Melvin Tan (12/05/2016 08:03)
The new place doesn't have the charm of the previous place. The Peranakan cuisine served was good but didn't blow me away. The Nonya bak chang (meat dumpling) was still as good as ever. The ondeh-ondeh (sweet local Nonya snack) is worth the calories too.

maans le roux (23/04/2016 07:24)
The place is really popular so be prepared to wait a long time. The food is good though so worth it. Staff was really friendly

Seng Kitt (22/03/2016 12:38)
Wide selection of peranakan dishes. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.
Their cendol and signature dishes are excellent.
Parking is good too.

Dylan Song (12/02/2016 08:26)
Not as good as expected.
Lakso noodle..no good.
Chicken chandlenut.. not tasty..
Only thing amazed. Candol ice!

Karen N (05/02/2016 02:55)
The worst experience ever. The fish masak lemak was dory fish which has was under cooked. When we highlighted to the chief waiter he said you have eaten some and cannot change and did not apologise or bother to find out more. The chicken masak buah keluak was so watery and felt like it was made a couple of days ago. The rice was undercooked too could feel the grain in every bite. Very disappointed and would never come back or recommend anyone there
