This mosque is very ancient. Built by the Indian Muslim community whom set foot in Malacca. There is a cemetery next to it. Thete are Chinese writing on the wall, as evdiencr that this mosque was built collectively by the locals. Good example of racial harmony ,regardless of faith and skin color. That's why I love Malacca.

Kampung Kling Mosque is one of old mosque in Malacca. I love the place, vintage! I came here while I visited Jonker Street. I prayed here twice. I loved it. They allowed foreigners to come inside, but with proper clothes. I hope it will exist until anytime.

A very special mosque, which was built by different people together and thus reflects a great variety of culture through its architecture. For example at a closer and more careful look you would find the Chinese inscription 囍 on the building, thanks to my guide friend who pointed out to me.

The first time I saw this Masjid/mosque I remember the architecture is quite similar with most of Masjid in Sumatra and Jawa. Which is then I was right. The information said that this Masjid was influenced by the masjid architecture as in Sumatra and Jawa. We can see from the "limasan" roofing style and not the dome style as in Middle East. And the 4 Soko Guru or the four main pillars, also familiarly found in Jawa structures, were made of woods taken from Kalimantan and still in very good condition.
