Give a try and was very disappointed. Firstly the rice has no fragrance of chicken, meat tasted plain with skin not chewy and smooth. They don’t serve free soup. And finally the most important of all - chilli. Too watery. I’m not a fuzzy eater. Unable to compare even to Singapore’s hawker stall.

The food tasted good, especially the rost pork. Their cendol is amazing!

Food is ok. Pork is better than chicken dish. Rice ball is slight above average. Have a good potential to be better if they take attention to details by serving the customer what the customer wants instead of what they think. Individual portion can be served instead of package of 35.00. We are local Malaysians who eats chicken rice in all states. Not tourist whom they want to cut throat. Another chance will be given if they are not bucking up the services and serving below par food just for the sake of money we are boycotting alltogether.

Outlook was good, selling Nonya food as Melaka is famous for Nonya cuisine. Only thing is you have to be early (before 7pm) to get a taste of their chicken and roast meats. Its sold out for today

1.Too expensive.. Small portion of chicken is for Rm 18 and a single rice ball for Rm 0.50.
2. The chicken taste bitter and doesn't looks good.
3. The funniest part is the rice balls. You need at least 10 rice balls to fill your stomach. I highlighted here again that the single rice ball is Rm 0.50 sen.
4. DON'T GO! ! YOU WILL REGRET.
5.Kindly search for a better restaurant..
Thank you. 😉

Chicken is just either steamed or roasted, then mix with soya sauce. Nothing really special about this place food. The staff looks tired and disinterested to serve customers. Will not come here again. Any other chicken rice shop will serve better chicken rice than this.

Overall it was a good place...pork dish was sold out but the chicken was not too bad

This is the 2nd time I visit this chicken rice restaurant, their food is quite nice and chicken is nice juicy and tender. We ordered chicken, ponteh bak and char siew and roast pork combo. And of course the chicken rice balls.
Everything is nice except the do not have the option of normal chicken rice and only have the balls. you'll have to eat many of them as they're small. Other than this everything is nice and price is reasonable.

Rice balls are not good. The place was full of tourists so for me it was a tourist trap.
They have a lot of dishes in the menu, and the menu looks great and well designed, that is usually sign that is a place for tourists.
I won't go back. I prefer local places.

Chicken is unfragrant, very small portion and extremely expensive.
This shop is Jonker Street Chicken Rice Shop, some of the pictures shown is of another shop (Famosa Chicken Rice Ball).
A quarter roasted chicken here costs rm18 (market price is

Nice place for shopping . Make sure you come in day time on weekdays as all shops close by 5 pm.
Michael Chuah (31/08/2017 12:53)
Low quality of sambal petai udang in Jonker Street! The prawn are not fresh, tasted terrible and smelly unpleasant. The rice ball is very small and oily. Last but not least, teh (tea) in this restaurant really make me getting sick (diarrhea).
This place really full of tourists and for me it is really a tourist trap. 😠😡

Never seen rice ball before. It taste the same, but the rice is quite soft. it was like Hainanese chicken rice, serving with chicken and egg
Grace Santiago (09/05/2017 10:51)

To be honest, we visit here because the other that we want to visit was long Q. We ordered the roast chicken and 白斬雞, both taste so-so. The chicken rice ball is quite sticky to me and my friend. The chrysanthemum ginseng drink taste eww 😖 my friend find the ayam ponteh not bad thou.
Thomas Bennett (30/03/2017 14:17)
The first time I've had chicken breast in se Asia but I paid double what I pay for street food with plain rice and a drink.
OK Tong (23/03/2017 05:50)
The chicken rice here is delicious! I personally do not like rice balls as the rice is rather sticky! Go upstairs and you'll find a lot of surprises! Visit upstairs for free!
VT Ng (10/03/2017 06:08)
It's famous for being famous. The queue may be long. The food is above average, not that exceptional.

Tan Horace (12/02/2016 07:54)
I would choose not to give even 1 star if can! Terrible!! 千万别去,非常难吃! The chicken skin very hard and hard to chew. The roasted pork also not nice. The rice over soft like porridge.
