Very excellent service throughout the entire stay.
Staff were prompt and effective in management of a sewage crisis. They opened up suites to allow residents affected by the sewage issue to wash up.
Very nice ambience and decor too!
Only downside is that the toilets and bathroom amenities were a little old.

We have been staying at the Puri for years as we travel Southeast Asia. The hotel rooms are well maintained, and the staff are so helpful, and breakfast is excellent. The museum in the hotel is very informative on the history of Melaka.

Beautiful, elegant and in a perfect location which both my parents and my nephews loved. Breakfast was in a perfect setting. Parking larger vehicles at their private carpark takes some patience and skill manouvre in and out of the spot

Lodging:
If you are planning to spend a night near Jonker Walk in Malacca (Melaka: malaysian local spelling), this hotel is the perfect choice since its just behind Jonker Walk within 5 minutes walking distance. Good price but the rooms are rather small for 4 pax but the decor is utterly fantastic. Preserving the Baba & Nyonya heritage decor, the best time to experience this is during the chinese new year festival. Not making justice with words, let the pictures speak for its own.

We normally stay in modern hotels but when visiting a historic city such as Melaka you must immerse yourself in the history of the place. What better way to do that than say in a historic manor. Hotel Puri is very well presented and has all the modern facilities you need in a hotel besides a pool, gym and business facilities. What is lack in those amenities it makes up with pure charm and character. From the furniture to the tiles you walk on each is steep in history and has many stories to tell of the era long ago. Step further back into the hotel and you have a collection of artifacts and an outside area. Its a photographer paradise with lots of interest subject to inspire your imaginations. There's also an onsite spa and restaurant. The location near jonker street was ideal when the afternoon heat gets too much you can retreat back to the hotel for a few hours to refresh before venturing out again. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Puri. There was just 2 thing we would comment on. One the bed is very soft and not the greatest. The second is the shower is not as hot and strong as some newer hotels. If these things don't phase you we definitely would recommend you stay at Hotel Puri.

Proud to stay at a most historical hotel in Melaka. Also they staffs are kind and helpfully. Located exactly at the best street at Melaka. Walking 3 minutes to famous Jonker street. And only took minutes to walking to others important historic sites around. And exactly neighbour to Straits Chinese Jewellery Museum. I Love It. Breakfast was amazing. Really completed menu from all around the world. From local cuisine to western and Indian and Thailand food and that was amazing. Hotel's building and interior are in an ancient antique decorations. They also combined the modern stuff as they have a lift machine at their 1st floor. Lovely experience I have had there. Thanks to Puri Melaka Hotel, you have made my 1st day at Melaka! But 1 thing I need you should consider to add at your bathroom, its a water jet washer to clean at my closet ;). I am an asian. Anyway it still a perfect experience I have there in your room.

Stayed here 1 night. This place are always fully booked. I booked early yet i only get 2 single bed for my honeymoon. Thats the last room they had. Room is designed with local old time taste. The hotel itself has many display worth of museum. The breakfast is good even for vegetarian like me. Location is superb, right in the center of attraction.

An excellent heritage hotel. Looks small from the outside but rich in history. Hotel rooms are of good standard, nice breakfast at the back courtyard. Sound proofing needs more work though. Location right in Jonker Street area.

Looks small but is big and has many rooms. Rooms are cozy and comfortable. I will go back there again.

I booked a family room for 4 person. Clean and cozy rooms with proper amenities prepared. The free breakfast exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth the price paid for the room. My mom was on wheel chair, so the lift in the hotel definitely helped.

Fantastic hotel in melaka, great value and near all the sights
J Goh (08/03/2017 11:34)
Old peranakan home restored to its former glory. Very nicely done. The room prices can be better as it caters to the high end group. Parking is a few doors away.

Excellent hotel in a great location (right around the corner from Jonker street). Great architecture, they even have a showcase room of some local antiques.
Benjamin Leong Su-Jin (19/02/2017 02:56)
A cozy hotel located in the heart of Jonker walk. Just behind the hotel is the famous Jonker walk. Hotel is very nicely decorated. Rooms are clean and pleasant. Definitely one of the better hotels to stay in Melaka. They also have their own parking located further down abit from the hotel. Only downside is the lack of swimming pool. They also have a SPA for the tired and weary from walking all day at Jonker street.

Great place to stay in Malacca. Near everything worth seeing, eating and drinking in town and great rooms with friendly staff.
Dronevlieger nl (11/10/2016 07:38)
The place is really nice with private parking. For some reason we got a double single bed me and my girlfriend and there was no option to change it. Other than that it's really central nice breakfast and it's clean in general.
JiaSheng Lee (21/07/2016 03:19)
Behind the seemingly unimpressive entrance, the hotel is pretty sizable. Decorated with beautiful traditional Peranakan furnitures and decor. My partner loved the look, feel and ambience of the place.
Shawn Brady (17/07/2016 09:26)
Though the hotel has nice character, I was highly disappointed overall. First, the room we received (Junior Suite) was not the room shown in the pictures on the website or other booking websites. We received a room that was not renovated. Also, our room was not clean: The toilet had poop stains on it, the walls of the bathroom looked like they had snot spots all over them (which easily wiped off, showing that they never even attempt to clean it), the bathtub drains the water on to the bathroom floor making the entire floor wet, the bed sheets had stains on them, and the towels had stains on them. When I asked to be switched to a new room, the staff was helpful. However, the new room was not any cleaner. Also, the breakfast left a lot to be desired (though the made-to-order eggs were good). Lastly, the hotel is currently undergoing construction. There is extremely loud noise heard throughout the hotel from 9am to 6pm, which makes it difficult to enjoy being in any part of the hotel. If I had to do over again, there is no way I would choose to stay at the Puri Hotel. I advise you to book a different hotel.

Lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff. We look forward to each visit and it really feels like a home coming to be remembered and warmly greeted. It is well located with easy access to Jonker Street and various eateries. A unique feature is the Swallow Hall where there are Swallows that roost at the end of each day. A very nice touch. Highly recommended.

Impressed with the hotel management. Well kept place. They take pride in what they do. Quiet place if you like some peace for a good night sleep. Carpark is private and safe.
