Location was good convinent to malls. Have stayed at this hotel for many years. Although the hotel is in need of a refresh, still like going there as staff are really friendly and helpful.

Located at a convenient location, most amenities and sites are within a walking distance. Service staff are professional and polite. Rooms are just right, plumbing could be improved.

Love the place. Center of the city. Rooms are really comfortable. Breakfast is good. Pool is good.
Just hope they'll do something at the entrance for stroller. Had to carry it up and down the stairs.

The Equator Club room which I stayed was rundown. Hot water for bathtub was only warm even when left on to run for sometime. Called the maintenance and they asked to leave the water flowing for a while to get hot water to flow. They left the tap fully opened and water flowed for an hour before I called reception to check their return.
Very disappointed with service and the hotel.

Worst Hotel Stay In Malaysia. Staff has no sense of working responsibility and does not listen to guest feedback. No hot water in room and hotel can simply ignore and provide explanation till angry guests came down to reception and question over the counter. No apology nor hotel trying to satisfy angry customer with solution remedy - only can tell you water pipe burst and you have to wait for the hot water! Ridiculous way of handling such incident. Reader of this review pls do not book Equatorial Hotel Melaka - totally outraged, worst hotel service and no staring for such service not even 1 star. Flies can be found during breakfast and add in orange juice. This is the hotel poor management

The hotel is located nearby Dataran Mall which is just across away. The hotel is quite old actually but the rooms are well maintain. The pool is very big which is awesome if u have kids like me. Overall i would give a 5 star rating and for the price it is well worth it

Is a cosy lovely place with all the family's friendly services. If you are driving an electric car there are two charging bay. Room are clean with all the best in a hotel room. Staff's are very friendly. Walk out is the old section of the city and near the sea.

Great view across the city of Melaka, as it is one of the higher built hotels in Melaka. The hotel food is good, with a variety of local cuisine spread across breakfast, lunch dinner.
However, the room's window is a little dirty on the outside. Besides that, it's all Good! Great Hotel

It's located in the town area, lots of malls around it but the place is very jammed. So expect lots of jam when trying to get there. Best is to travel by foot around the area. The hotel itself is very nice. Very clean and the staff are helpful. They provided us with drinks when checking in to the hotel. The rooms are clean and nice. They will clean the room if you want every morning and replace your towels for you. Breakfast provided at the hotel is nice and there are lots of varieties. Breakfast came with the room so Im not sure how much it costs.

Bad experience. The room that was a deluxe suite with two rooms. Had a shock when we entered. Bed sheets were stained and had to wait for twenty five minutes for a replacement room. Dining table was stained and extremely strong urine odour. Staff was surprised to see the condition of the room. Would never stay again. Rude front office employees.

Its premium room has an interesting viewing area, big enough for an adult sleeping. Friendly and courteous staffs, nice ambious and clean, convenience location to many places of interest within walking distance.

Quiet and central hotel. We had a very big room on the 18th floor with a beautiful look of the city. During the week it was pretty dead. Service at check was very good but the room wasn't cleaned on one day. The pool is huge and the gym has plenty of machines as well. The bar has good options and the hotel restaurant is cheap when looking for a quick snack.

Good location, just a little dated. 4 star hotel. Good beds. Room condition could be better. Many tourists stay there, especially singaporeans. Decently priced. Probably cheaper than average.

- lift won't go above the floor your room is.

For the price this place is awesome. Right in the centre of town with alot of food and entertainment around. Just a 10 min walk to the main tourist square. The hotel is showing it's age a little but the staff are still very professional. Would return

Location-wise one of the best in Melaka. The rooms and hallways is in serious need of refurbishment, though. It looks tired,on some floors there's a very strong smell of mildew. Having said that,this is my go-to choice for Melaka hotel,for the rates I get for frequently booking online directly with them.

Rooms and some facilities need major refurbisment. Service is superb, friendly and top notch. Food is tasty and delicious. Location at the centre of Malacca. Walking distance to most historical place.

Very good place for high tea and discount for old citizens. Really loved it plenty of foods and desserts and drinks. Worth the money. Good entertaiment and very good services

Good place to spend holiday here, hotel offer good breakfast and few of the good complimentary services like sweeming pool, sauna bath, steam bath, jacuzzi bath, gym etc
Also have bar and restaurant on its ground floor, staff behavior is awesome overall a good deal to spend time.

A nice hotel in downtown Malacca. The rooms are dated, and need a refurbishment. I stayed here last in 2014, so they may have been upgraded since.
I liked the friendly and accommodating staff and the large room. Access to interesting places to visit and government offices was easy from here, although the road in front of the hotel can get quite busy and jammed.

The pools are big and long. The bath tub is nice. But it doesnt have separate shower.

The lunch buffet is great! The parking for disabled is accessible after requesting from the person in charge. Price of buffet is reasonable.

Excellent location. Easy access to shopping mall and amenities. Club floor is located at the 21st floor over viewing the sea and heritage buildings. Staff at Equator club are helpful and attentive. They will try their best to fulfil whatever you need.

Certainly has seen better times but it's well situated, and for the price we paid it was a very nice stay. Staff is great except for one Japanese concierge who was quite rude to my girlfriend when she was asking about the possibility of a late check-out.

As a local, I highly recommend this place due to its superb location, nice facilities (I came her often I.e. Every Saturday for their swimming pool, spa, sauna, steam bath & jacuzzi).
The food is delicious. Actually my favorite hang out

Despite being opened for a long time. This hotel is still a favourite for travellers to malacca. The pool is great and so are the room views. Located within the vicinity of mega malls and restaurant areas.

Fantastic place. Location wise it's a short walk to the big shopping malls, and a 20 minute walk to Jonker street. Forget about the long walks to find an authentic Nyonya restaurant. There's a fantastic one in the hotel itself! Affordable food and comfortable with great service! The TV has preset movies to watch! Can stay entertained even when staying inside the room. Has a nicely equipped gym and a pool too! Breakfast has a fantastic variety as well. will definitely stay again

Stayed here during my hotel stay. Great place, across the road is the malacca shopping center lots of food around. Walkable distance to famosa and jonker street

Very popular with Singaporean guests and deservedly so. Its easy enough walking distance to Junkers Street and plenty to see along the way. if you're in a hurry with lots to see, strongly commend hiring a trishaw who will zip you through the traffic to everything you want to see and keep you entertained with his light banter. But ask him to turn down the music please :)

Equator Club room for 4 days. Very good room nice staff. All here is great. Breakfast very good. Lounge for Club Rooms 👍👍👍👍
