Was expecting more from the Holiday inn branding. Rooms were clean, staff was welcoming but room missed out simple toiletries. Vast breakfast menu, a dish for every taste.

I went there in Jun 2014 on an official trip to one of our company suppliers. The hotel is good, clean and spacious rooms are there. The room service was also very good. The location of this hotel is very near to the shopping places. In Malaysia, you see a twisted of races living with each other within their own areas of working, not intervening in other person's matters which is greatly remarkable. Same, I had observed in Melaka during my stay over there. The cuisines have a sweet mix of Chinese in them.

Hotel access card had a few hiccups but were rectified promptly. Room lacking amenities. When called for these missing items, took a while to get to the room. But room were clean and spacious. Had a wonderful stay still.

Had a wonderful time during my one week stay on this hotel. Excellent service and delicious food. A bit expensive but worth it.

Decent hotel in Melaka at the back of Mahkota Parade Mall. Room is fine. Breakfast is pretty standard. The only complaint is there is a separate KTV building next to the hotel which could get really loud and you can hear the noise from high floor. An OK hotel for a short night for business trip.

Well maintained hotel, condition is still clean and nice. Sea or city view to choose, both are nice. Though sea view is slowly cluttered with new development. Hotel away from crowds with nice swimming pool with separate pool for kids. There is a convenience stall within the hotel. Breakfast served in 2nd floor with good variety of food. There is even a children food corner.

Been here for my mom's retirement ocassion.Very nice and calming environment ; perfect concept and atmosphere.. but a lot of things that can be improved such as food served during hi tea. Food choices should be attractive, healthy instead of delicious.

Stayed here one night, the room was quite spacious with a good view of the straits of Malacca, it was clean and tidy and the bathroom was also clean with all amenaties provided.
The hotel staff were very friendly and courteous and one thing I would like to tell is that I requested for a shaving kit and the front desk staff called three times to make sure I have received the kit. These small gestures make a lot of difference. Thank you for having such well trained and caring staff.
The food at the essence cafe is quite and worth a try.

Mixed experience here. We loved the hotel's spa services and the food is also good. Our room was clean, but had a strong smell left from the chemicals they use to clean it. The bed was too soft for us, your spine will become C shaped!

Lovely food and drinks at a suitable and worth it price. Staff are friendly and always try to do their best. The rooms are comfy and cosy. Even though there are ups and downs, the staff tries to make your stay enjoyable. The cleanliness of the hotel is very good, and when you enter the hotel, you will be greeted by a refreshing smell that is perfect, not to much, not to little, and the staff's warm smiles. The facilities are cool and helps you relax. Definitely coming back again!!! 😘

Beautiful Clean and Centrally Located. But room are simple spacious contemporary only. Important are height ceiling lobby and nice swimming pool with great sea view.

Clean, trendy, spacious rooms. Good view of the coast and sea plus surroundings near Melaka Raya and the historic sites. Reasonable priced rooms with 5-star facilities. Restaurant food so so. Ample parking.

We went there with 5 adults, 3 kids and stayed in the executive suite. 2 bedrooms with a living room/dining area in between. Enough space for us with kids! Breakfast was OK. Very near to Mahkota Parade and other malls. Definitely a worth place to stay.

The hotel itself is a good facility, decent ocean views and very clean.
Elevators are notably inefficient. The elevators are slow, they stop at random unrequested floors where the doors don't open - but then they continue to move again?
Rooms are very clean, not overly dated and have all the necessary amenities. However light switches are overly complicated and sadly not labelled or marked - so good luck getting up for a pee in the night without illuminating the entire room!
Service is not so good at this hotel - when delivering room service they arrived with a trolley and tray but then just handed me the plate at the door?
We left the room service in the room, but when they cleaned the room - they didn't take the dirty plate?
The hotel advertises that it wants to conserve water by ensuring that towels left on the rail will not be changed, so we left all our used towels on the rail (we didn't need them to be changed) and they gave us all new ones. So much for mother nature!
Overall feels like this hotel has great potential, but lacking in attention to detail.

The rooms were pleasant and clean, as well as the toilets. Hotel is very close to shopping centres, but crossing over is not easy as there is no overhead bridge. Have to go one big round to get there, but there are shuttle services from hotel. Public Amenities like pool are great, SPA was excellent (do book in advance), POOL table available for good rate, and live music at lobby

One of the best hotels in Malacca. Staffs are nice, food is great and very relaxing ambience.

Comfortable place to stay. Near historical places to visit such as menara taming sari, dataran pahlawan, stadbury building and navy muzium.

Melaka has little to offer a tourist. Hill top Dutch cathedral desecrated by vendors. River dammed to create canal for tourists. Old charm gone. Too many new buildings.

Fast check in. Spacious room. Breakfast is good. Guest request attended promptly. Definitely will come again.

I was there at the wrong time. The hotel was crowded, noisy, and experience not an enjoyable breakfast. Meal was depleted during bf, the porridge looks like a boiled rice, no bread, and the buffet are mostly empty

Attended the western style wedding dinner of my friend here, the main course chicken chop is not well cooked. willing to cook again upon requested. nice service.

Good location. Good food. Amenities a little dated and needs refurbishing

Great facilities and strategic location though the maintenance of the room could have been better.
Jun Fan (07/03/2017 05:45)
this hotel is in the direct opposite of the Melaka historic area so the location is perfect (within 10 minutes walk). The pool is big and breakfast is wonderful with various selections of food. The only issues we encountered is our room is not sound proof because it is separated by a wood door (locked of course) with the next one. The baby noise prevented us from falling sleep badly.
Frank Lim (25/02/2017 04:42)
service very good, staff so professional, my interconnecting queen size and king size bedroom clean and cosy with view of pier, melaka straits and sunset
breakfast spread good, manager so friendly and her staff very efficient, smiling and attentive. lots of parking space, security present but discreet.

Gave us a smoking room, when we reserved a nonsmoking room after making us wait for 4 hours in the lobby. Manager MIA, reception staff of no use.
Above all, we heard first hand the receptionist Wei Wei telling another guest who had booked a smoking room (yeah, I can't believe this is not a non smoking hotel) that she will send the ash tray up even though her room was a non-emotional room. Terrible !!!!!
Pathetic, Holiday Inn. There goes your brand.
Alice Koh (14/12/2016 22:22)
Hotel is nice and clean. Near shopping area. Parking ample space. Breakfast could be improved. Soap in the room should be 2 sets for 2 in the room.

I needed 3 rooms for my short 1 night stay in Malacca and all of the 3 rooms were upgraded for being a Platinum IHG member. The rooms were clean, comfortable and contemporary.
The pool and fitness facilities were nice. Lots of well-lit outdoor and underground parking available for guests. The Executive lounge breakfast was quite nice and staff were overall friendly, professional and efficient. I would gladly stay here again the next time I visit Malacca.

No hassle & free parking, wonderful location, friendly & welcoming staff, good food especially Italian Restaurant & beautiful decor in the Ballroom.
Taufiq Rahman (09/09/2016 16:54)
We opted for this hotel due to the fact that it is a Holiday Inn and it was very much in our budget.
I must say that it met all our expectations in terms of service quality, attentiveness of the staff, room quality, food quality, etc. The staff in the transport section (shuttling to & from the city) was excellent.
Will surely keep this hotel in my preferred place to stay if we take another visit to Melaka.
Iulian Dinu (23/08/2016 10:00)
Well equipped hotel with nice personal, great food. The sea sight unfortunately is ruined by a construction site.
Hans Damen (18/06/2016 10:52)
As we ended our last years stay in Malaysia in this hotel, we decided to start here for this years holiday,. We took a taxi straight from KLIA, where we arrived on a flight from Europe at 0600 in the morning. Therefore we were at the hotel at 0800 hours and our family-room wasn't ready yet. The friendly staff gave us a room for temporary use right away, so we could sleep and freshen up. We stayed here for 5 nights. The room was a "kids-room" with a seperate small chamber with a bunkbed. Once again the kids loved it. The breakfastbuffet was enormous (best we had in Malaysia) and had 8 ethnic themes. The pool was very large and of the infinity type, great for relaxing after a day sightseeing. Location is also not bad, about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. In front of the hotel is a great foodcourt. We ate once at the hotels Italian restaurant, which was very good. Kudo's to the staff as everybody was friendly and helpfull.
Kelvin Soh (27/05/2016 05:03)
Friendly staff, nice view and variety choices of breakfast. More importantly the swimming pool is very clean.
Bjørn Helge Sandblåst (17/05/2016 13:58)
Nice hotel at a good price point. They gave me a room with twin beds instead of the king size bed that was booked, and I had to wait until the next day to get a new room. In addition their system said that breakfast was extra, but they fixed it immediately when I showed my booking confirmation saying that breakfast was included. The computers at the business center were outdated and slow.
Despite this, the food was good, the staff friendly, they offer a free shuttle to a shopping mall and the old town with a night market, the room was nice etc. I would stay again.

Stayed with family, very nice visit and the reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was full of choice. Will visit again

The place is very nice. Comfortable, clean and the service is top notch. The food was nice but they lack choices for drinks. The hotel is nearby Melaka town and Mahkota Parade.
