MY family and I were apprehensive when we first turned into this restraunt. But we're pleasantly surprised by the wonderful ambiance, service and food. The seafood was fresh and well cooked. The kids had lots of space to wander and explore the very interesting grounds. Definitely would recommend Berts Garden for a tasty and relaxing feast

One of the best makan (dining) places in Melaka, hands down!
Friendly staff, even better food, and a beautiful beach view that puts the icing on the cake..
Try the Nasi Lemak, I believe it's one of their specialties..

Just outside of Melaka City Centre. You can relax with friendly services for a glass of nice cool drinks. Seafood is popular with the many guest, with many outdoor tables and chairs for guest to relax.

Great quality food, served quickly and in decent portions for the price. We ordered small servings of 6-7 dishes at around RM8 each. The whole lot arrived around 10 minutes later, and each dish was full of flavor, matching the menu description. It was more than enough food for the two of us. The fruit juices were great too, weighed down with chunks of fresh fruit. My only criticism is that, like most restaurants we have visited so far in Malaysia, the meat dishes contained bits of bone and had to be eaten carefully. Unlike many other restaurants in the main tourist district, this place clearly takes a lot of pride in the food they serve and their service.

Too expensive for their food standard. However very nice environment and friendly staff.

We had dinner here, nice food, friendly staff. Having beer in the sea wind after a long driving is really enjoyable. Surely come back here again for next trip to Melacca

The ambience here is good, nice place for a relaxing drink n good BBQ. Ambience 8/10, service 9/10, food 8/10, price 7/10. Recommended to bring some mosquito repellent though, to have a peaceful and pleasant dinner.

Food was ok but nothing special. A little pricey for the area ... given most seafood is charged by "market price".

Pandan chicken is the best.

Nice quiet place, it's just along the waters, reclamation works have spoiled the sea front view, but it's still a nice quiet sea side place to have grilled sea food. There's a bar here too. Grilled food is ok, nothing fantastic. I much prefer this place then the vendors at the Portuguese Settlement.

Read this place on several blogs and didn't miss the chance to visit. Above all there were no regrets in making the drive out of town to this quaint alcove down in Tanjong Kling. Bert takes the form of a retiree who opened this place some years back. They have a good selection of local & imported beer serving local, Western & Bbq specialities. The atmosphere here is very laid back. If you're lucky, you might catch Bert on the deck trying to net some pinfish that are in abundance in the water. If anything, this is the place to catch the sunset whilst sipping beer and relaxing after a long tourist day. You won't find many tourist here and will be able to enjoy an evening's conversation over meal without distractions.

A quite place outskirts of Malacca town by the beachside. Arrived late, missed the sunset. Not well maintain, simple layout and not much of decoration. Nice old bar counter with cosy feeling. Open air dining under the coconut trees. Mosquitos in the early evening but not a problem as they have mosquito coils under the dining tables.
Surprise the local and seafood dishes was great. Fresh craps, fish (ikan bakar), satay's, nasi lemak (coconut milk rice) and other nice seafood dishes. Very friendly service and reasonable price. Will definitely recommend friends to go there.

Had a really enjoyable time here, the food was yummy (grilled snapper and prawns a must try), and most importantly the staff were friendly and provided amazing service. Very happy. :)
