Local food, local delicalies.. in the peak hours we have to queque.
This is actually satays that are cooked in hot peanut sauce.
The taste is just average.
They maintenance the peanut sauce often, but dont change it after each customers.
So for the good of all, if we go there we should promise not to dip the satay that is being eaten. 😁😁 - or at least they announce the way of eating this dipped satays so everybody will feel okay.
The price is 1.1RM/stick.
Parking? Very difficult...

The sauce was tasty but limited choice for lok lok. Good service and reasonable price.

Satay celub at the famous ban lee siang.
Not worth.
This is nothing like the Satay you find in singapore.
Treat it more like a steamboat with typical steamboat ingredients.
Soup base is satay flavored with some evidence of peanuts. Honestly not sure.
Each ingredient is 1.1 rm.
Come for the novetly.

It's so dirty that the satey sauce are not been change after every customer who eated and when u request to change the sauce they gonna charge u for full pot rm60 and half pot rm30 rediculars....

Two shops (classic sibling fallout story) side by side.
The locals prefer the branch with staff wearing ORANGE uniform.
The YELLOW uniform shop consists of mainly foreign workers serving you and preparing your food. I guess that's why locals would prefer the ORANGE uniform branch (which seems a lot less crowd). Go with orange.

Satay celup, ermm..if hasn't try before and strongly recommended by the eatery bloggers..well, you can check it out..some like it and some might not if you're looking for a good quality foods with the price charged for the celup satay...
It's just like eating steamboat with satay sauce..
After prolong boiling the same satay sauce and all raw/cold satay materials was dip into it over and over again...can't imagine what's the quality of the over boiling satay sauce...and how often they change/replace it...
Did they use a new sauce or recycle the same sauce on the next following day of business...

One of the few among the "real local delicacies" that is still worth the try. Really tasty and localise. If you're looking for Satay in Melaca, look no where and here's the one.

Taste as good as their service. The left shop is didi and the right shop is gor gor. So make the “right” choices 😂

Was recommend by many bloggers.
They DO NOT change the satay sauce placed on tables.
You may enjoy sharing sauce of saliva (imagine saliva spill from heavy talking, or when people double dip to increase flavor).
Each celup thing costs RM1 per stick.
You pay after you eat.
Good honesty and trust principle though!
But A NO NO for their hygiene despite nice sauce (or maybe the saliva share has increased the flavor).

This branch is opened by the main branch cute sweet looking daughter. The satay sauce taste as good as her service. The freshly prepared satay sauce costed 30rm. The individual skewers were charged separately.

Everything is nice. Just hot.

I haven't tried this before. A little spicy but it tastes really good. Price is cheap.
Hope beef skewer can be ordered.

Good and reasonably priced place to get your Satay Celup fix. In my opinion, better than Capitol Satay.

Mainly fish skewers to dip in spicy peanutsauce. Not bad. Nice experience in Malacca.

The best satay celup in town so far. To avoid peak period on weekends, go at 3-4pm when the place just opened.
Wilson Pang (08/08/2017 00:16)
Nice taste of satay celup. Eaten since my childhood. But hard to get seats and parking lots during weekends.
Kg Tan (29/07/2017 17:52)
I've eaten here when price was RM0.60 to now RM1.10 (WHAT?? Seriously, price doubled?!?!). Nothing new came out of them and quantity has strink at much higher price. I really don't think it's worth it (blue signboard) . Next time I'll go to their neighbour McQuek to try and see if the standards are equivalent.

clean environment but they have the shop beside it has the exact same name. It is confusing

Steamboat made with satay sauce. Yummy you got to try it. Very tasty n delicious.
suhz chang (04/06/2017 10:18)
The sauce was too diluted with very little peanuts and too sweet. For $1.10 to $1.50 per stick, the prices are too steep for the portions allocated. Been there, done that.. never again.
Wilson Loo (19/05/2017 16:36)
I tried satay celup 3 times but I'm still not impressed. It has its virtues and it's definitely special in Melaka but taste wise it's dipping stuff in peanut sauce. That said, Ban Lee Siang is relatively inexpensive and clean. The variety of skewers are quite a lot too.
Alvin Lee (18/05/2017 10:04)
Food is good. But should had told us the options to have a fresh pot of sauce at the start so that we could have taken that option.
Gerryko Malaysia (31/01/2017 02:53)
Delicious satay. But no crunchy peanuts in it. Gerryko Malaysia media events and food YouTube channel.
James Elliott (23/01/2017 08:14)
Good prices and quick service. Best for a snack or meal.
Vivienne (18/01/2017 05:47)
Not a big fan of satay celup but this is where I'd usually go or recommend my non malaccan friends or relatives.
Kieran Ong (05/01/2017 13:44)
Came for dinner on a Thursday night. The sauce (peanut based) is a bit on the spicy side otherwise it's quite tasty. Do note that most of the food is processed foods and each stick is RM1.00 which I thought was quite expensive for what you get. Overall, it's nice, but nothing much to shout about.
mark cole (07/10/2016 05:52)
Excellent food great selection of skewers. Very helpful staff. Reasonable price
Nicole Aby G. (27/07/2016 04:33)
Scary, unlike the other popular shop, they do not change their satay sauce. That same table use the same pot of satay sauce through out the night. Sauce didn't suit our taste. Didn't feel hygienic with the food and environment overall
Christopher Kwek (26/06/2016 10:12)
Satay celup is fantastic. Sauce is unique in flavor and cooking the ingredients in it is yummy.
Cindy Hayashi (31/03/2016 13:03)
The sauce is so awesome!!! They are friendly service too!!! Will come back here again if we come to Malacca.
Jeffrey Tan (31/01/2016 01:28)
The food and service is excellent. Don't have to wait and no feeling of being rushed for the next person to take table. Highly recommended!
Brett Kwong (23/01/2016 11:21)
The satay here is GREAT! For only RM0.9 each, you can get anything you like and put them into the satay hot pot. They provide lot of options on food, I will definitely coming back again.
cecgene (22/12/2015 16:05)
Comparing this with the other famous satay celup store, experience is abit disappointing. Probably is the way they market their sticks per price. Contrary to the other store, everything here is RM0.9 per stick but it is rather annoying that there is only one meatball on one stick, so I had to take 3 sticks if I wanted 3, and not to mention if each of my buddies wanted 2 I had to take almost 10+ sticks which is already RM9+. As students who are on a budget, this led us to keep our appetite down and cannot enjoy the most out of it ( we ate 100+ sticks but we're still hungry). In the end, we had to go for round 2 somewhere else lol. I would recommend trying the other satay celup store which was more filling and satisfying.
Benjamin Tan (17/12/2015 14:41)
From a Singaporean perspective, this can be described as Yong Tau Foo on a stick, dipped in a pot of hot satay peanut sauce.
Very unique and tasty at a very affordable price!
