Friendly and prompt service. I came on a Thursday afternoon around 3.30 pm, thus there is no crowd. Nice and peaceful.
I love the pork Pongteh Bak, goes well with white rice. The chap chai and chicken were satisfactory. I feel the rice ball too mushy though.

Really liked the rice balls, RM0.50 each. Highly recommended to try Pongteh Bak, a kind of Baba Nyonya pork dish. Foods are quite pricey yet delicious 👍

Location: 4.5
● conveniently located at the entry way of Jonker street.

● the restaurant offers local cuisine, such as, the ever famous chicken rice balls. We ordered chicken rice balls and chicken dish with sauteéd kangkong; the way the vegetable was cooked is perfect. The rice balls and the chicken, properly spiced.
Service: 3.5
● we were there at around 8 in the evening, the place was relatively packed with patrons. We understood that since there are a lot of customers we had to wait for an available table, it could have been better if the staff were friendly enough to let us know how long is the waiting time.
Ambiance: 4
● busy and somewhat unfriendly.

Staff were quite unfriendly, unattentive and impatient. Though, to be fair, they said they were short on staff. Ordered chicken rice balls + mixed chicken + omelette with cincalok (but was served with onions instead). The roasted chicken and omelette was good. Too expensive for what you get. Better places to go for chicken rice for a better price. (If you can, go to Hoe Kee Chicken Rice instead - 50m away).
