In a nutshell, we had a great stay here. Right after booking we got a warm welcome via email and few recommendations how we can get there. After arriving, the mother of the house gave us a quick overview about the history of the house and served us free coffee. Furthermore, Kenny answered every question and provided us with every needed information about melaka, both were very friendly! But that was not all, the breakfast was awesome. In addition to the normal white bread and marmelade, they severed local food like special form of sticky rice, banana bread etc.
The location is good as well.

Very chill place with very basic things, reminiscence of the old village style of living.

Love love love this place! Keep up the good work Kenny and family! Brought me right back my my grandma's old house. Wooden houses have a special scent.

Friendly staff and unique stay if you want to experience how the people of melaka use to live. Can book for air-conditioned or non air-conditioned rooms.
This place is a short 5 min walk to the shopping centers. Has local food within 10 min walking distance.

If you've ever wanted to stay authentic Kampong house then this is the place for you. Set down the street from "everything", you can walk everywhere. The rooms were cozy and the staff and family were very inviting. Fruit trees and a quite patio area brings a lot of relaxation hidden within the busy City.

Very clean homestay with super friendly host. Cheap rooms in a historic house surrounded be a quiet green gardenaway from the hectic of the town. Breakfast and WiFi is included and it's only 5-10 minutes walking from major sights, malls and regional buses. Very recommendable!

I only have great things to say about this place!
Management was extremely kind and accommodating; you really felt at home here. They give you a really simple map with all different shortcuts into town - it is easily walking distance to every touristy spot in Melaka.
Nice and quiet at night.
Free breakfast (always a plus for the budgeting traveler!) consisting of toast, jam, real butter, fruit, coffee, tea, local foods.
The man who is mostly running the place - Kenny - also adds in free local foods on top of the free toast and jam, which was a real treat. He insisted we try the different foods every day.
One day it was a Malaysian version of a samosa (crispy puff pastry filled with potatoes and a curry sort of paste), another it was roti with a lentil sauce. Even if you don't like it, it's a cultural education.
Everything was clean, showers were nice, rooms were spacious and comfortable - anything you could ask for, really.
His mother is great for conversation as well!
This place is staffed by genuinely nice people and it's a great place to stay while in Melaka; I'd recommend it to anyone!
Just one tip: I wish I would have seen the option before we booked, but unless you're okay with the heat, make sure to book a room with air conditioning. For me, at least, a fan was not enough to cool down after a long day out in the blistering sun and humidity.

Echt klasse, hier sprechen sie sehr gut englisch und sind sehr nett. Die Zimmer sind groß und sauber. Man könne nicht meinen, dass es so ein friedlicher Platz mitten in einer Stadt gibt.
