Eventual destination of origin kampung of Osing (one of the origin tribe of Banyuwangi). You have to make reservation first to get the experience of tradisional kampung feel

Great price / quality. People very friendly. Could be a bit cleaner however so 3/5, still I had a very pleasant stay.

Nice staff, and in move countryside, however the place is quite basic, not hot showers or ac but still a good base before doing kawah ijen trip

I would not definitely recommend this place and don't understand how the ratings can be so high. Everything looks dirty and shabby, e.g. walls have dark dots, sink was grey, water dispenser seems to show mold, mattress was moldy as well. Spider webs everywhere! The roof doesn't seem like a closed construction and there are also a lot of insects inside. Only 1 shower. No blanket but you wouldn't need it because it's really hot in the room despite the fan. Bed was quite comfy though and also the toilet cleaner than expected seeing the rest, so I still give 2 stars.

Rude staff and disgusting mouldy bathrooms with no heating

we arrived late without a reservation and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Gave great advice on getting to ijen and gave us a free ride to the train station in the morning

OK so the people are really nice and it's super clean but...yeah but.... the rooms are very basic and very hot not much ventilation and...there is a mosque speaker right in front! so call to prayer is definitely going to wake you up. Free water refill and tea and coffee supplied :)
Oh and it's not super expensive about normal for indo now..130k double shared bathroom

Just for one night! And try to find another place if you wanna do the Ijen volcano, at this hostel is really expensive

Good value guesthouse in Banyuwangi. It is quite far from the centre (45 min walk), but there are minimarts (15 mins) and the restaurants (10mins) nearby. They offer tours and car hire to Ijen at reasonable prices and try to find the most appropriate and cheapest option for every guest (rather than selling overpriced tour packages as other guesthouses do). Great Indonesian breakfast is included in the room price.
Make sure you contact them before your stay as the staff will be happy to pick you up from the nearby train station

You can see traditional vilage of Osing people. Sometimes they have ceremony to celebrate the harvest festival

Nice homestay to stay when climbing the Kawah Ijen. Offer very good price and advice to climb it. Rooms are very simple (only a bed) but ok for one or two nights. One of the best option in Banyuwangi.

Really rustic, the locals don't speak much of English but are helpful. You will have Internet and a "shower"
It's nice to be away from the city
