Good to learn about Air Force of Indonesia's history, including the planes that used for wars long time ago... If you visit in the weekend or school holidays, it will full with students/kids. The air conditioning was not enough if crowd with the visitors.

Special place for me. A good place to visit. Great place for children to know about Indonesian Air Force, especially the old aircrafts. We can also see the uniforms of Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) and their leaders time by time. Almost all of the old planes are displayed here. Some of them are available for the visitor to be explored inside. In the mushalla area , there are many toilets which are in good condition, always clean. Don't worry, there are souvenirs shopping center and mini market. It is the Adi Sucipto Air Base area (which has commercial airport too) so visitors can enjoy the view of commercial planes flying low on their landing.

This museum provides nearly everything you need to know about the history of Indonesian Air Force, with many historical aircrafts displayed. The yard in front of the main building is large and resembles a park with many trees--you can even see arriving and departing aircrafts (as this is near Adisutjipto airport) from very close distance. The only downside is sometimes the temperature inside the building can get quite hot and uncomfortable.

Definitely one of the best museum in town!
But one of the poorest maintenance too!
They got many collection of WW2 plane, we can go inside bomber cockpit, and various weapon collection aswell
There are theatre room and P-51 D mustang simulator BUT NEVER-EVER even ONCE operate it for the past 5 years.
Pack your meal , roll your mat and have a picnic on the park in front of the museum!

If you value history and want your kids to build nationalism, you should go here. Some of the planes are outside which is very hot, so you have to be prepared for that. You can take picture wearing training jumpsuit too. There are many food stall outside.

Decent museum. Advice for foreign visitors: About half of the signs are in English as well as Indo. The museum is inside an active air base, so you have to go through the gate. I recommend bringing a copy of your passport, as the gate guards will want to keep either your passport or a copy of it, and they don't have a copy machine.

Located just next to the Yogya Adisucipto Aitport. For those who loves planes especially war plane, this is the place for U. I won't say it's great, but it's the best in Indonesia ( Mind U, the entrance fee is only Rp5K.) Me appreciate what the Indon Air force has done. I luv the Bronco & Mitchell bomber. I hope the museum will add in more planes in future

Good museum. There are many historical diorama about Indonesian military, and airplane prototypes. Interior is quite old and stiffingly hot as some of air conditioners don't work adequately. Need some renovations
