Delightful falls, even though the stairs are a bit of an effort for this old man.
If you plan to take photographs, allow yourself some time. as standing in the falls is a popular pastime for tourists.
It pays to take stroll along the adjacent stream of your way back up the steps, as there is a beautiful stream with a small cascade (see photo)

I’ve never been to a waterfall before, and I’m always in awe with Mother Nature when I’m able to witness things like this. This is amazing, took a taxi here with friends, and we stumbled on this gem. It’s beautiful, and looks just like a scene out of Jungle Book. When you arrive there’s staff who instruct you on where to go, and where to put your things. Then they ask for one camera, which confused me at first, but then we realized the staff (one person) becomes your official photographer. I wish I remembered our guy’s name, because he was amazing with photos, he had great attention to detail, and made us all feel like sports illustrated models. I’m not really confident when it comes to that kind of stuff, but he was great and so encouraging. The water is so powerful, yet relaxing. We were able to rinse off in their little shower area, and finished the visit with some Bentang Redler. Definitely a place to visit.

Wide waterfall, nice place. Entrance is 15000 idr. You can swim at the base of the waterfall and find the second waterfall downriver.

The one really interesting fact about this place is that there is a local clay/rock artist who has sculpted faces into the walls. He was featured in a USA magazine. See the attach photo for an idea of what he did.
Regarding this waterfall: I spent days driving to waterfalls in Bali. This was one of the stops. It was short. The waterfall is not that unique. It is small, compared to its sister, Tibumana. If you have spare time on your route then stop here, but don’t make it a full day activity. There are much better waterfalls in the area. It cost 10K idr to park a scooter here.

easy to access. only few stairs away from parking area. even someone that not very energetic can reach this waterfall. unique waterfall. the entrance fee is IDR 10.000 for local & tourist all the same. very fair. no need to pay for parking. there's some shop that sell snack, fruits, water & coconut in opposite of the parking area. the rocky path to get to the waterfall is quite dangerous. especially when the water flows is heavier. it is slippery and wet. be carefully. the waterfall is directly goes to the small river. the water is come from the river in the upper level
that's why after took some pictures in the water fall, you should climb up again and go down to the opposite of the waterfall for shower, cleansing your self with pure water from the spring water. it is safe for drinking too.

Best waterfall in Gianyar, Bali.
Walking distance to locatioan are close. Easy access, good for children.

At first a bit difficult to get this place, due to wrong location in the google map. But it is actually very famous place in the area, so easier to get directions from the locals if we asking the location. Amazing waterfalls with not many stairs to steps. Some Balinese guys are very helpful to the visitors to directing and taking the picture. Nice.

Cyrus Azad (23/11/2017 11:11)
This waterfalls is not as busy which makes it a great place to really take your time and enjoy it. Also there are some Balinese guys there that are willing to come down to the falls with you and take all the photos of you that you want. The guy never asked me for any money so I believe it’s by donation, I payed him 100,000rp. One last thing there are two waterfalls at this location. The second one is just I little further down the river.

Enjoy 😀

Highly recommend to anyone who looking for a top quality tailor, staff are great and professional, they were able to accommodate my request in 2 days, suit fits really well, doesn't need any adjustment, everything was perfect!

Lovely and beautiful, I've seen 3 waterfalls in the same path but be prepared cause you might need some good gripping shoes. 10k for the entrance and you've got free showers and toilets

Jess Robertson (21/09/2017 12:13)
Loved! A less touristy waterfalls in Ubud. You pay 10000 and that's it. There are locals all around to help you and the waterfall is outstanding, you can climb up and get right under the falls which is a wonderful experience and great photo ops! You can continue further down and see a second waterfall. I did it with bare feet and was slightly difficult but managed fine

Sara Bloom (13/09/2017 06:50)
Quieter than the other waterfall in Ubud that all the tourists visit. Still very pretty and natural. You have to pay a small amount to enter.

Tadas T (06/06/2017 09:42)
Access to the waterfall is from the west side of the river (google maps location isn't accurate), once you're in the area just follow the signs.

There are two waterfalls, one visible immediately once downstairs and another one further down the stream. You can walk there yourself, but if you're not confident local guides will walk you for 10k IDR per person.

Climbing down requires some fitness so it's not accessible to those less able to walk.

Bryan Lee (26/05/2017 23:35)
Very nice waterfall. One where you can climb onto the waterfall and take nice pictures. Not simply a waterfall which you can look at and not interact with.

Also, you don't need to hike to get there. Cars/bike get you as close as 20m to the waterfall. Should go!!!

Melody Heng (03/05/2017 15:37)
Beautiful. All the locals were all smiles when we were there. Entry fee was 10,000 rupiah each. There are local guides that would help you up the waterfall. The one that helped us took fantastic pictures, was careful with our camera and the lenses, told us the best way to walk up. We had so much fun. The local villages are washing their clothes in the river too. Do note that the local guides in the park do expect some tips. We gave about 30,000 for helping us! Definitely a waterfall to visit

Gijs den Hertog (19/04/2017 05:01)
Very beautiful. Would recommend it. There is quite a big step and a 10.000 entry fee but totally worth it. Local guys are there to help you with the step and pictures. Not pushy and very nice. Gave them a tip and we're very grateful.

Bee Xoomsai (19/04/2017 03:50)
A really beautiful and impressive waterfall where visitors can spend time just chilling in the water and climbing up the rocks (just a little). The water isn't deep so it's suitable-ish for children to have a little splash and have fun too. There is also another small one if you keep walking towards the back--much less crowded but less safe to be in it.

Markéta Penčáková (14/04/2017 06:23)
Check it early morning - you will be there alone and you can swim under waterfall and take great photo where you will be alone ;)

Zulfi Ikhsan (04/04/2017 07:27)
One of waterfall in gianyar, and its very nice, the entry ticket just IDR 10.000, there is a guide who will handle us and you can ask them to take a picture of you standing below waterfall, it will be great :)

Distorted Brain (20/03/2017 07:02)
Check beside the waterfalls, theres a good stop point to saw the river view, owned by pak nyoman wijaya, you can hear the waterfalls sound from the hill.

Christian Hartono (07/02/2017 13:46)
Peaceful place. Guide and local host are so kind.
Beautiful waterfall in Bali, quite place.

Александра Савицкая (08/01/2017 07:43)
Nice waterfall wich is active after a couple days of rain. Small, comfortable place, with to visit. Price is 5 000 as a donation

jeff dumke (07/11/2016 09:58)
We couldn't find the waterfall so I'm assuming it was not active. We went hiking through multiple tracks up and down to find the damn thing but no luck. Past the car park and down all the steps we were a little confused. Was lovely viewing though despite no waterfall found.

Julie Cleveland (04/11/2016 11:40)
Well I went on a Friday in November and the waterfall wasn't there, no one else was there so I spent like 30 minutes trying to find it, then finally I ran into some local people who told me the water was blocked for now. Apparently they stop the waterfall sometimes for some reason. The area was really pretty though, but when there's no waterfall it's just a river in a canyon.

Guy Gächter (26/05/2016 13:41)
+ great little (well, not that little) water fall
+ not well known YET (we showed our local driver where it is :-)) and has not many people there
+ Entry donation is 5K pP

* Only a very short hike down to the fall with two sellers (coconut, restaurant) on the way. The last part has (now) also stairs and rails, but take care, it can be slippery.
* Not much room besides the waterfall for rucksacks etc. better travel lightly.
* The photos you can take are awesome! Bring your (good) camera!

Alex Mommert (15/09/2016 09:51)
A rather small place and pretty slippery access to the waterfall. You cannot swim there. It's okay for a foto (waterproof gear recommended), though.

Theresya Yttri (07/09/2016 00:41)
Better come early morning. Not many people and u can feel the air and nature without human chattering behinds

Kmg Hartha (07/08/2016 15:40)
Well this is I can call a short mini waterfall. I though it was big place but I'm wrong. It is very small and many peoples waiting to be under the waterfall for picture oppurtunity. You can't swimming here because the water just under your legs.
Just Good for instagram picture!
Ps. If you have time, you can cross the river and doing small hiking, they have small cave on the top and becarefull they have some nest of bat inside.

Irfan TR (27/05/2016 16:28)
Only Rp. 5.000 to enjoy little beautiful waterfall

Mark Paulda (23/04/2016 10:20)
absolutely stunning. the climb down is not for the faint of heart. mind yourself on the wet rocks as they are slippery. well worth the trek

Usman Shehzad (14/04/2016 01:44)
1) once youre near the spot .. donot follow GPS, there are small little 1ftx1ft boards made by locals saying kanto lampo .. follow them.
2) the way to waterfall is very difficult if youre in a car. you just cross thin streets.

waterfall is nice if its somewhat in your way or youre nearby. i came all down from ubud which was not worth it.

but its not crowded at all. a plus point

Nathan Raditya (16/10/2015 04:43)
This GPS is bullsht, there aint no bridge over here! You're telling me to jump off a cliff?
The waterfall is at the other side of the road!
