The Monkey Throne room was breathtaking. Lovely to be in amongst the villagers, feels like you are part of the family. A nice walk down to the river under the villas is rewarded with a great place to swim.

We stayed at Villa Kalisat for 4 nights, and will not miss this experience. Maybe you can find a place with a little bit more luxury, but - you will never find a place with more hospitality and gentleness! We will come again. Don‘t miss!

Beautiful and amazing villa! My boyfriend and I stayed in the monkey throne room for five nights and loved every minute of it! The staff is wonderful and very accommodating, the food is delicious and the views are spectacular. The room was cleaned everyday, transport was always organized for us with the most helpful and kind driver and we were always greeted with warm smiles. The views from the room are breathtaking and they have a path that leads to the river which is a must see! We cannot wait to come back and highly recommend villa kalisat to anyone looking for fun, warm and friendly accommodation in ubud

An absolutely beautiful villa. Location is perfect. Short drive in to town - for which there is a free drop off and pick up service. Again short drives to nearby spots such as the rice terraces, safari tours and the water temple. The villa itself is located behind a small homestead, so you must walk through to get there. The people living there work on the villa and are very friendly and have the cutest little baby!! There are also plenty of chickens and two very friendly dogs that welcome you home every time.
The staff and management were absolutely lovely. Very attentive, very friendly. Never experienced service of this quality anywhere in my travels. They are also very knowledgable about Ubud and also provided us with whatever information we needed and even had some excellent suggestions on what to do while we were in town.
I can not recommend this place enough. If you are thinking about coming to Ubud, this place is just perfect.
PS - The chocolate cake (dairy/gluten free) is absolutely incredible. Make sure you grab a piece. You can thank me later.

I loved the Villa Kalisat it has an authentic, quiet and magical feel that you just can't fake.. I stayed here with my daughter in September for two nights and even though it rained heavily It didn't in anyway spoil our stay. The Villa is situated at the back of a Balinese family village on the top of a jungle ravine. You walk through family 'village' to access the villa which provides a fascinating and educational feature. The owners employ the family to help run everything and will I am told hand the whole enterprise back to them some time in the future.This is a holistic approach to, and a far cry from, the "take the money and run" attitude that is sadly pervelant in the industry generally. The owners are passionate and dedicated and spent so much time talking to the guests and informing them about the place that it was clear they truly love it here, and so did we. I hope I am lucky enough to return one day.

Villa Kalisat is a beautiful stay for 2-3 Nights. Very friendly staff and a great view.

Fantastic hotel, we was at Monkey Room just for one night and it was amazing! One of the best experience on the Bali. Want return again!

Espectacular hotel que se encuentra en la ladera de una montaña. Esta rodeado de vegetación y desde el hotel puedes coger varios senderos que llegan hasta una zona con un pequeño río.
El hotel en si es muy bonito, las habitaciones tienen buen tamaño, tanto la piscina, zona de terrazas para tomar algo como el restaurante están a la altura.
