Very beautiful and comfortable. There are 5 pools, everything is neat and clean. So many opportunities to have a rest during the day and enjoy the sun. There is a free shuttle bus from the hotel to the city and back, it runs every 2 hours during the day, you'll be given its scheduled times. The restaurant menu is quite diverse including local cuisine and a variety of others, however it is cheaper in the city though. The spa is amazing!

I enjoyed my stay at the Mansion especially as I wanted to stay in a hotel that has the Balinese "heart" (design). I absolutely loved the gardens and pools. The room was also nice though the furniture a bit old and used. The bathroom a bit small. The breakfast was very common, nothing special, quite boring to have to eat the same thing for 5 days in a raw. Fruits had no taste (quite strange), the sweets very bad. I would suggest to the hotel to improve it or for those staying in the hotel to eat in the center. The Balinese food is very good. I particularly love seafood and fish.
The hotel staff was very nice and we felt welcomed. Thanks for the shuttle bus to the center as it is a bit far and hard to get to the center on foot.

Lovely place though the room we booked had some issues with the shower, though am pretty sure that’s just our room. The 5 swimming pools were a nice surprise and all the staff were really friendly! Never had so many hellos and good mornings in my life! Very comfortable beds too.

It's a beautiful place and the constantly smiling faces make it perfect. The exfoliating massage in the spa was one of the best I've ever had. Every step you take you have to take another photo - the statues and the pavilions are stunning. And there are five swimming pools! The buffet style food looks and tastes wonderful and the dining room by the pool is lovely.

Quiet little getaway in Bali. Pool villas are the best although the other rooms looked equally good. Staff are very friendly and super helpful and go to lengths to make guests feel welcome. The vibe is rustic, and makes you feel one with nature. A+ on all counts

The hotel is beautiful, very nice English speaking staff, useful shuttle to the city, breakfast was nice, the bed was OK, many swimming pools that we didn't have time to test but looked great, our room was 5-6 minutes walk from the entrance which is quite far when it rained but we got umbrellas, they helped us with booking excursions but actually it's best to book in the city because it's much cheaper (in the hotel 800k rp for full day driver excluding entrance to places and 150k extra if more than 8 hours, in the city 700k no extra hours).
A few problems that could be doable for others, but annoyed us:
1) our room could not have been completely dark (see pictures), and during the night there is a light outside the door that should be closed by timer, but if we didn't tell the staff every night to close it it would keep us up... 2) shower was moody- once we got the temperature it fluctuated with ice cold to burning hot temperature. On the first night we thought it was because of showering with others in the same time, but it was like that for 5 days no matter the time, so we learnt how to deal with it.

Classic traditional. Comfortable room and bed. Shower and bathtub is one. Bathtub can be quite slippery, so be careful. Old but it's the cultural merit. We were there for a one-day seminar. Service were at the top. Breakfast has a good range of buffet. Suffice for you to start the day. Staff are always smiling and polite.

I only come here for the dentist so I can't comment on anything other than that. The dental professionals here are amazing. I came in for a cleaning recently and I was blown away. I didn't know my teeth can get so clean! I was really impressed by how clean it was, the new equipment, and the professionalism.
Thanks Mansion!

It's no doubt an easy five star for ambience, service and location.

Loved the location of the rooms, the neat lawns and lush green landscaping all around.
There were pools spread across the entire property and our kids loved the one near our room.
Living here amidst such lush green landscaping and the relaxing sound of flowing water brings a sense of serenity and calmness to the entire stay.
The hospitality of the staff was excellent.
One of the best places to stay - no doubt.

BEWARE Robbery and Extortion By Mansion Hotel Staff on May 8, 2017.
I stayed at the Mansion starting May 4th, 2017. On May 8, 2017, I reported that I lost my key at around 9PM. I was not given a new key and I went to sleep with the door unlocked, as it was the type that required the key to lock even from the inside. At 10PM, I was woken up by someone knocking on the door. Before I could say anything, a staff of the Mansion Hotel came sneaking into my room. Immediately I started yelling and he ran away. I went to the front desk to report this intruder and they did nothing. Did not give me a new key or a new room, only that they would look into it. I tried to sleep but could not, since my door was unlocked. So I tried to get a new room but the Mansion insisted that they needed my credit card AND for me to pay for the prior night's stay before they could give me a new room. That didn't make any sense, as they already had my credit card on file. When I tried to leave, they physically tried to steal my luggage to get my credit card (even though they had my credit card on file). After they threatened to call the police, I said go ahead and charge me. At that point they overcharged me for an entire week (as I had reserved but I had only stayed a day or two). Moreover, the stay advertised a 2 person massage, 2 person dinner, and 2 way transportation from and to the airport. I was given none of these before being forced to leave, and yet charged for them. I had to spend approximately $600 to replace those services promised but not provided. This stay was the worst hotel stay in any country I have ever been to.

We loved the staff! Amazing service. Heart warming. Friendly. No reasonable request was denied. Even provided more than expected. I would highly recommend just for the beautiful and friendly staff. The surrounding is lush and green with lots of places to hang out and stroll. 6 pools of different types and a lot of mini pools to just wade in or sit by.
They have a great dental spa too which I used and had an amazing service there as well.
A little away from the town centre which could be a pro or con for you depending on your own situation. We had no problem it being further away. The hotel provides a free shuttle every 2 hours to the town centre. We also had a rental scooter so it wasn’t a big issue getting to town from the hotel. Most of the times we would be heading in the opposite way anyways.
A minor inconvenience for some would be the WiFi. Needs to be urgently addressed if they want to attract business customers as well. Lots of dead spots in hotel rooms and very slow connections. Given the expanse of the property and foliage, I understand it can be tricky and expensive to evenly distribute wifi reception. But with modern technology that can be overcome. If you’re there to purely switch off or need just basic internet, then you’re good. Otherwise, I would recommend getting a local SIM card or activate roaming on your own mobile.
We had no problem with the breakfast buffet. There was plenty of food to choose from. If you’re a coffee lover, then Balinese coffee is all they had as far as I knew. And two types of tea. I think you had to order and pay for other types of coffee. Again, a minor non-issue if any.
To sum it up, it was a great place to stay and I will surely come back to stay and recommend it to everyone.

Dull. Trying to be a 5 star hotel and failing. Should be more Bali like instead of western.

Awesome n nice place on ubud bali
Trent Collins (23/12/2016 00:36)
Little strange. Reception is part museum part gift shop. Sooooo much furniture and things everywhere.
Lots of rooms scattered everywhere but no real atmosphere in the hotel. Rooms are basic but comfortable.
Breakfast is not worth having. Very simple and more staff than guests standing around watching you. Go down the road to a cafe instead.
Hotel is further out from main area. They have a shuttle every 2 hours, but might be better to look at something closer, especially if you have kids.

Cannot fault this place. Peaceful and staff are brilliant and friendly. Slightly out of town however a very effective shuttle service is available and rubs reguarly. Rooms are quiet and spacious. Will visit again.

GORGEOUS hotel grounds and pools, have seating everywhere and even a cute little tree house. The rooms were spacious and clean, no bugs and AC

Bit disappointed after seeing the photos. Could do with being updated. Is a bit tatty and run down. Food overpriced too. But beautiful gardens and excellent massage even though a bit pricey. Also a bit far from everything. And absolutely no animation or atmosphere

Natural and classy hotel. Good to relaxe. But, i was in deluxe room not like a 5* hotel.
Dave Rouse (30/08/2016 11:02)
This place seems to come up when I want to go to tjumphuan hotel. Preying on the other with Adwords etc so Google directed us to the wrong place. Other people I met had the same issue.
mick huzzey (28/07/2016 04:59)
Classed as a 5* hotel but actually joined with Bali wood which is 4*. They are both the same hotel as facilities are shared jointly. We booked direct a grand deluxe and they gave us a deluxe which was nowhere near the same quality. We had to complain to get moved and even then room was not as advertised as when booked. Restaurant expensive. Breakfast was ok with self service. Lots of pools but overall hotel and grounds needs some tlc. Free shuttle into Ubud.

Clean, decent sized rooms. The room I was in opened directly to the outside so on a rainy day, it would feel damp inside. Very cool bathroom and tub. The breakfast was lacking and it's not walking distance to the main part of Ubud. You'll have to take a car.

We had a awesome week in Ubud! We stayed at the Mansion resort for six nights. We had a high ceiling thatched roof room, clean and spacious, with all the five star amenities. A large bathroom and enormeous bathtub.
We really enjoyed the garden, the pools, the long lazy days on sun beds.
Food was delicious with many varieties. Vietnamese dishes my favorite! We also had great time by the spa. Balinese Massage is the most relaxing treatment I ever had..
We had great fun in the many activities Ubud as to offer, rice paddies walks, sight seeing and much more..
Ubud is the best destination in Bali, and if you have the opportunity, stay at The Mansion! We already plan to go back on Christmas.

I was regret that just spending one and half day here. You should take a least 3 days to enjoy the services, rooms, swimming pools ... Shuttle bus take you to Center of Ubud for everynight.
