If you are going to Bali, then don't forget to visit this Amazing waterfall. Its totally adventurous because you have to go several foot under to reach near the waterfall. Perfect place to take a bath and also to sink your feet in. Enjoy the greenery and have some fresh coconut water while going down. A temple is also situated near it behind which there is a private bath area where only women are allowed. Loved this Beautiful waterfall and the local shops too. Those provide a variety of swim suits & beach dresses, accessories, jewelleries for men, women and kids. Just walk down the streets and explore your taste❤

Large parking space, cheap entrance fee. A lot of shop/cafe that you can visit after visiting waterfall. Freezing cold coconut tastes really good on Bali sunny day.
Before you reach the waterfall, there are 150 plus step of stairs. The waterfall itself is good, you can enjoy by swimming (don't cross the red line/flag) in a good season. You can climb to the top of water fall by paying extra entrance fee (IDR 10,000.-/pax). Pay another 25k you can enjoy swing and take a photogenic picture of yourself with the waterfall as a background on a swing!!

This is quite a majestic attraction in Bali. There are stairs taking you down to the river bed and stairs that take you up the other side of the river so that you can sit right next to the top of the falls. When we were there in April, they were constructing a restaurant right next to the waterfall. There are one or 2 places where you can sit down and have a beer or cold drink and watch the falls and river. It is really hot in this area so carry lots of water. Entrance fee was really cheap. You can take a swim in the river during low rain season. there are other fountains and small streams on the way down as well.

The walk is well worth it! Absolutely breath taking! There is a small entrance fee (AUD$2.50) that helps the locals to keep the site safe. The steps are very sturdy. A nice cafe near the waterfall, as well as toilets. There are lots of photo opportunities along the way too. Highly recommended visiting this beautiful place.

The fall itself is beautiful and powerful. You are allowed to get very close and wade in the shallow water.
It is fairly easy to get to. I rented a motor bike and rode there myself. There are other sites nearby as well.
Expect to pay for a locker and/or bathroom, or it will be provided by a shop assuming you buy something from them. Walking the path to the top of the fall is also an additional fee.

Huge waterfall which makes for great pictures, but unfortunately it’s not a great place to go for a swim. The water is really shallow and, when we visited, very brown.
There is also a smaller waterfall which you can visit that is about two thirds of the way down the 165 steps; on the way there, there’s a nice swing which is free to use!
One downside; despite paying to get in you can also expect to pay for the use of a toilet.

Beautiful Place. Love being here in the morning where not many people. The water is refreshing. Don't forget to organize some stones on top of each other to make a sign you've been here :D

Beautiful natural waterfall. We went in a group of 3 friends during the first week of April, so the water was a brown due to random rain and we were not allowed to go swimming, but still a must see. There was a smaller waterfall next to it that you we been and able to go bath and swimming. You can walk further up the side of the waterfall to the top where you get a beautiful view as well. You have to pay 15,000IDR/person as an entrance fee to get in.
I highly recommend to all must visit this waterfall if you are in Bali.

Solid flowing waterfall, but don't expect the pretty blue water that you might see elsewhere in Bali. I thought it was quite nice & only takes a few minutes to get down to. There are viewpoints from above if you don't want to cling down the stairs. Entry is 15k. I probably spend about 20 minutes here since I was by myself. Swimming isn't allowed at the waterfall which is understandable given how strong the waterfall is. If you don't mind crowds or the lack of the pretty blue waterfall than you should definitely check it out.

A very beautiful setting. The waterfalls are located many steps down a hill. There are several fine restaurants before the steps with a great view of the falls. These are wheelchair accessible. It's a great visit for everyone and children will love it. Bring your swimmers for a refreshing dip in the river. Have fun!

Outstanding waterfall. Requires descent down a long path, but well worth it. There is a small booth at the bottom where you can change free, but quite basic. Truly beautiful. You can wade or swim close to the falls but a rope barrier shows a safe limit. Note that the depth and current increases dramatically at one point and so take care with children. Great photo opportunities.

Key highlight for me is the baby tegenungan waterfall. Not the bigger waterfall. Keep a lookout for this sign and you can see the baby version which is much better looking. The bigger one needs further hike down and crossing over a boulder to reach the other side. Hike up the stairs further to reach the top. Plenty of tourists taking a dip. And by the way, there's about 200 steps of up and down each way here.

Great waterfall with great views. I went in October and the water was cold but still a great site to see. You can hike to the top and take great pictures up there. Overall a must see while visiting Kuta.

Amazing waterfall. We spent over four hours here and couldn't get enough of it. The water is clean. The force of the waterfall could be deadly so don't go close to it. There are two levels up and on the second level there is a tiny waterfall which can be used for a shower.

I enjoyed this waterfall, I wouldn't swim in the water though. Lots of people, hard to get that picture shot. Many many stairs to get down to the waterfall and up to the parking/market again. Lovely restaurants that overlook the view of the falls and forest. Very aggressive sales people in market.
Stephen Lin (12/10/2017 02:38)
Crowded and definitely not pristine. Steps down are steep. Some steps are high enough to be challenging for the very young, the oldies and the not so fit. Also extremely hot - its Bali after all.
Nice for those who have not seen waterfalls before. But for those who have seen other besutiful waterfalls of the world, this is a skip.

Nice waterfall, good for a splash as well, but has a large number of tourists. Need to climb a few stairs to reach the spot. Cafes with great views of the waterfall deserve a special mention
Bynu Lorenzuhewa (16/08/2017 13:29)
Lovely place. Place is highly commercialized due to big crowd. Prices on shops around is double. Washrooms are also there for payment but you will find a free one down which is ok to use.

The waterfall itself is impressive. Sadly the touts and tourists ruin it. We went at 8.30am and were charged twice..once for the lower level and again to walk to the top. The views are spoiled by silly signs, umbrellas and sunbeds. They were sweeping stones and rinsing them but there were still piles of litter at the top. It's such a shame as in its natural state it would be the perfect place to visit. The water did looks murky and didn't really entice us in for a dip. I personally wouldn't recommend it. There are at least two other waterfalls nearby - try those.

Almost the same as other touristic place, this place is easy to find and enjoy. Walking down to the waterfall wasn't that hard, stairs with handrails helps us walks down there. There's a lot of warung and souvenir stores along the way between main entrance to the stairs. If you lucky, you can swim near the waterfall. We weren't lucky that day, because the water were too strong. You can go up to the top of the waterfall, but you have to pay more ticket which cost IDR10.000 per person.

Upon arrival looks like a mad house. People trying to park, buses, vans, cars, motor bikes. Pay a fee to enter, pay fees for bathroom, water closet, toilet, head. Numerous vendors selling beer, drinks, juice, food. Everyone ask you to buy. A nice Waterfall but was very dirty. The waterfalls in Egypt and Morocco were cleaner. Signs state you can be as sexy as you want but you can't be naked.

Tegenungan is a good choice when you feel so tired with your daily routines. It makes you to refresh your mind. Its near from Denpasar. The best time when you visit this waterfall is in the morning because when in the afternoon its so full of peoples, especially in weekend.

For 10k rups, cheap access to a powerful gushing waterfall and swimming hole. Extremely touristy place. Be warned there's a long climb from entrance down to the fun area, which means a steep climb back up.
Matt Macri (08/05/2017 10:47)
Nice place to visit. Has the normal village stores selling the normal Bali merchandise. Good little place to get a drink and look at the waterfall. If you don't want to walk to the waterfall you wont need long here. Very small Fee to get into the village which is standard.
Jess Gillett (05/05/2017 12:32)
Beautiful (and powerful, be careful!) waterfall. You have to pay a small entrance fee at 2 separate points which seemed to be a typical Balinese practice, it is a bit annoying as I'd rather they combine the two fees, it would just make you feel less like they were trying to profit out of you. But obviously the small fees are worth it to see this lovely natural waterfall.
vilhelm kressander (03/05/2017 16:21)
Seemed to be the tallest in south Bali so we went there. Loved the place and it was easy to get down to the fall itself. Could both get to the small lake at the bottom of the fall and stand on the cliff next to the top of the fall. As a bonus there is a sacred pool by the path leading up from the lake of the waterfall.
mohd azizi Ahmad (02/04/2017 13:59)
Nice to visit and cheap. My advice if last night raining. Choose other day to visit. The color of the water highly depend on the rain. And carefull when swimming there, it had claimed live.

Lovely waterfall. Be ready to get wet to enjoy it to the fullest. Keep an extra set of clothes. Don't forget to eat sweet corn 🌽 outside of this fall. One of the sweetest.
Justin Donnelly (17/03/2017 02:03)
Very tourist populated attraction but still a pretty area to visit. It's kept somewhat clean and only costs a few bucks to visit. Probably worth going in the early hours of the morning. Quite a few stairs to climb so be prepared for that.
Lori Rinckens (15/02/2017 02:41)
Be expected to pay a small entrance fee. Such a beautiful place to see and swim. It was quite busy with tourist, but the earlier you go, it tends to be more quite than the end of the day. If you don't have transportation I highly recommend using the app 'grab' which is identical to uber, rather than a taxi which will charge you over twice the price. If you want to walk up to the top of the water falls it is an extra fee

A nice place to visit if you want to enjoy natural views. This waterfall has a very natural surroundings that could bring peace to our soul. But be prepared if you want to visit this place as you need to walk through lots of steps to reach the waterfall from the parking area. Bringing some water is a good idea.
Stefan Hansen (20/01/2017 23:07)
It's a very beautiful place! you have to like rough waters if you want to swim here but it's very fun. The over the river and the waterfall is breathtaking. It can be a little difficult getting to the waterfall after a rainy day.
Jeff C (03/01/2017 11:25)
Worth visiting for the photos and a swim. 10000 adults 5000 kids entry, and same amount again for going up to the top of the falls. Be prepared for a good leg workout on the way back out. I had to carry our 2 year old most of the way back up and I was stuffed after getting half way back up.
Wendy Lo (02/01/2017 10:52)
Beautiful vistas of the waterfall from above with many eateries around. Be prepared for some big stairs and heights as you go down. Strong waterfall but apparently, it depends on the day...the current was very strong so we couldn't sit under the waterfall as I was hoping. Rocks are slippery. There is a nice splash area to take photos in as well.
Arthur Hascoet (29/08/2016 08:21)
Quite big waterfall in a nice setting but is full of tourists. Water quite clean that you can bathe in. Don't expect to be immersed in nature and relax there except if you go to the upper levels (with an extra fee) where there are way less people when you go up the river
