This place knows good coffee. They roast there own beans, and offer light to dark roast from various regions.
They do a great job at being sustainable and in reducing waste which other places in Bali should take note of.

Worth a visit when in Bali! The place is always crowded. No wonder why because food and coffee are excellent. I find desserts are a bit to sweet for my liking. Beyond that is their service. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The manager told us their company vision how they want to grow their local business which is very impressive!

This place gets 5 stars because the staff are just so great, friendly and efficient. The coffee tasters is a wonderful way to get to know all the different flavours and profiles of the roasts.
They have an extensive selection of coffee to choose from and there is also a bar and food. So you can relax and enjoy some snacks while you have your coffee. Head across the road for coffee workshops at the roastery, but book 24 hours in advance.

Impressed by the ice coffee. Love that the coffee was shaken and not diluted and cooled down by ice cubes. Also like the roast and feel that it is well balanced, not overly roasted. Would love to try the food next time!

Very good coffee. Well presented. Had the hummus and potato croquettes, which were both delicious. Great place to stop and have a break. Staff were attentive and friendly.

Good atmosphere, great taste of coffee. Good service. If you come here with bike, they give you valet service without pay. I am really like this.

Best flat white I had in Bali, if not one of the best I’ve had. Has a nice nutty and chocolatey tasting notes. The price of their beans are very reasonable too. The pastries at the counter looked really yummy pity was too full to try

Came here in 2013 and back again recently. So awesome to see Rodney's Seniman growing from strength to strength. Indonesia’s leading specialty coffee brand. This place is an institution. Seniman is a green bean processor, coffee exporter, roaster, designer, maker, explorer, and proudly based in Indonesia. Seniman is focused on quality coffee ensuring a unique customer experience. I can confidently say that this is the top 10 coffee shop in Asia.

I want to hug everyone here, but that would be awkward so instead they get five stars. This place instantly made my top 10 coffee shops in the world. Service is great, coffee is flawless, food is great and also, THE SERVICE IS GREAT. Upon request, they also poured me a sample of their coffee cherry husk infused gin from their bar, unsurprisingly, it was great. Thoroughly impressed by everything they do and everyone on the team here. Also, valet parking for my scooter? I feel like a movie star.

I like it when I walk into a coffee shop, you can smell that it is brewing and beating any other smell in the room. That, for me, is a sign of a good coffee shop. I visited twice; one ordered a coffee, one ordered cold sumatran cocoa. Both were amazing! Love the place, love the rocking plastic chair. The food great too.

The staff are very attentive, and the place oozes innovation. We found these guys in the Bali Incentive Book where they give you a full 15% discount on everything from food & drinks to their funky merchandise.
I think you like the place. Tear out your voucher and tear into Seniman Coffee. The food and drinks are very well presented. You can even go across the road and have a look at the innovative things they are inventing and recycling.

Best coffee drinks ever anywhere. Iced double mocha with cashew milk. Felt like a complete and nourishing meal! Cute dishes and presentation also. Strong wifi. Convenient location. Good vibe. Highly recommend!!!

Very good coffee and nice service. High recommend place. You can buy coffee beans as well here. The staff speak good English. Try the single origin coffees most of them are good and they have several options for every taste.

The cappuccino and mocha were nice but not as good as Monkey Cave; cannot even compare. Seniman has the seating and selection of juice/eats that Monkey Cave does not. Wonderful as this spaciousness and variety were, the coffee was just not as great.
Additionally, the staff became very irritating. We wanted to purchase coffee beans and teas for takeaway but the two women kept hovering, telling us what was what and not allowing us to read and see things for ourselves. We ended up just walking out without the beans. Cannot stand people pressuring us into a sale.
One star for good coffee, another star for cleanliness, one for ambiance, and one more for quick service. Not a five-star place but better than a three-star too.

My partner and I came here on two separate occasions, and they did not disappoint!
Breakfast was absolutely beautiful and eggs were poached perfectly. Their coffee was some of the best coffee I have tasted in Bali.
For lunch we had chicken fingers and chips, the chips were hand cut and the chicken was coated in crispy flakes which tasted amazing. This serving was a smaller size so I would recommend a larger meal if very hungry.
Also, the rocking chairs were awesome! And you can buy them!
Love this place, definitely a must try!

Excellent avo poached toast, trendy coffee shop vibe and great for working breakfasts. Killer house blend coffee and snacks. Loved the porch and communal table, friendly staff and great vibes.

Wasn't sure if the walk was worth it, but it was, definitely worth a visit. Great place to relax and hangout, they have 3 different zones to sit in, and a shop across the road.
Excellent coffee, more than a few choices and you can tell they enjoy crafting the perfect cup in every method you could ask for. Even their chairs are a sight to see.

Went there 1times in a day. one for breakfast (it was awesome !!) and second for coffee in the afternoon.
Absolutely a nice place

Amazing coffee shop at the heart of Ubud! Love how the coffees are served on a long board. The deco is also very unique, especially the rocking chairs which are based off on plastic chairs you find in small mom-and-pop shops. Coffees are excellent too!
R Ayudiati (19/04/2017 00:18)
Oh My! Lovveee this place! Just went there a couple month ago to the hot section of the cafe, and went to the cold /lab style cafe early last year. Love the decor, atmosphere, and of-course the coffee! It's simple yet memorable.
Steven Heath (11/04/2017 03:12)
Brilliant espresso - go for the single origin - nice atmosphere and decor. Friendly and helpful staff.
Absolutely lousy wifi.
Worth going? Yes
Cost: Good value
Joana Sonn (10/04/2017 02:19)
The menu is not vegan friendly and the prices for a simple coffee are to high in my opinion.
Hadi Yazid (31/03/2017 19:11)
My hotel owner recommended this cafe for breakfast and I went there. The view surrounding the cafe is vintage. The cafe itself is chic with contemporary touch with some Cuban elements. The menus are scrumptious. The staffs are polite. The coffee selections are abundance. I went there every morning during my 5 days stay in Ubud.
Oriel Tsou (26/02/2017 06:10)
Fast service compared to other cafes in Ubud. Strong wifi connection. The hot mocha was thick and rich! 👍🏼
Yulia Cempaka Sari (03/02/2017 13:21)
Nice coffee, cozy place, amazing service. One of the best coffee spot in Ubud you should try. They also have a unique chair that make you feel so comfortable. The price range is not too crazy for a nice place in Ubud.
Patrick Addison (17/01/2017 12:17)
Excellent coffee shop, cool, quirky and friendly atmosphere. If you enjoy your coffee this place is for you, they are regularly handing out different types to try and you can watch them tinker behind the bar trying different techniques.
Fast wifi. Plug sockets for laptops around the communal table. Happy staff and very tasty brunch like food, which is freshly made.
Good place to chill for the day if the weather is terrible.

'I hate that i love it'...
You know why? Because the food and the design is very very awesome! BUT...i feel betrayed if they add tax and service fee in the end and you get surprised when you have a look on the bill(of course it's mentioned in the menu, small and light...but who honestly looks out for that..?).
Why not just including it in the product price itself? Would make the experience perfect.
So...10% and 6% makes an additional 16% fee on top of the displayes price if you pay by cash. jti

This place is absolutely overrated in my opinion. Probably a good place if you like coffee but the atmosphere isn't that great compared to the other places in town. Crowded as well due to the high ratings.
Shameer Khan (29/09/2016 06:16)
Great coffee and a truckload of gimmickey...things. The chairs, the water glasses, the trays...it is pretty cool. The milk on the coffee was smooth and just the right amount.
Roy Ling (22/09/2016 03:57)
Really really like this place. It's a bit tucked away in a smaller lane but it's worth discovering.
The coffee and other drink selections are very interesting and not the usually stuff you get.
We bought some coffee beans too, if you're into making your own at home. They're good beans.
We spent about IDR200.000 for 4 drinks, while we were there. 250g of coffee beans are around IDR320.000
Anna Setiyani (17/09/2016 05:53)
The best coffee place in this island. You gotta try sitting on the bar area. Their barista oftenly give you free sample of whatever coffee they make. Becareful of being caffeine over dose if you sit there :). You can also buy the coffee beans for home. They got almost all coffee varians from Indonesia. If you love coffee and stays around Ubud, make sure you fit some time to spend here. You're not gonna be dissapointed.
kmartina5 (14/09/2016 06:03)
I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, great decor and awesome rocking chairs. Yes this has more of a western feel but you will find that most of ubud does. The coffee is good but I have had better in Ubud - I had the cappuccino. They serve it with a delicious short bread cookie and water. The place is usually busy and most tables are for sharing.
Jeanne Agustini (06/09/2016 11:22)
Mmmm good coffee but very touristy, skip this if you're looking for Balinese experience as this is more of Aussie feel. Cakes are ok, nothing to shout at except the coffee and the cozy place. Yay for its rocking chair! Price is not cheap but still reasonable.
Alex White (13/06/2016 08:20)
Nice but ridicolous outcome, looking nice with very polite and efficent service, but, i've been forced to take a seat when i was just looking for a nice capuccino maybe to take away (they need to leave a little bit more freedom to customers), i've ask for a soya capuccino (even the worst coffeeshop on earth can make one, maybe not good, but drinkable), they couldn't do it, came to me a kind of pudding inside a coffee glass, not joking, and they said they wasn't able to do it... so i had to consume a cashew milk based capuccino, that is fine, but is simply ridicolous they can't make a soya capuccino + quite acidic coffee (if they want to keep the fame they have, this situation simply can not happen), for the rest excellent service (that's why i don't put 1 star) normally i never leave ratings, but this time is need, hope will help them to understand what are the customer needs on the market

Amazing food! Friendly staff! Great atmosphere, amazing skill and care and passion for the coffee, deserts and juices that they have on offer!
Seniman is Bahasa Indonesia for Artist... Which is really fitting for this place, they have a great passion for making coffee an artwork.
The Moka Nut Waffle is a MUST TRY!! The BEST tasting coffee ice cream I've ever had!
The Sunkist Orange and Apple juice is worthy of a mention, too!

Great coffee! Pretty good food. Terrible plateware. Seriously - get rid of those stupid wooden trays; they're the most annoying thing on the planet, and even though I've been coming here for months - the people working here are still surprised when I just take my drink and *everything off the tray* and they still try to put it down in front of me. They take up too much room, they're a terrible shape, and they're stupid. Seriously - biggest frustration on the planet and I've heard everyone else voice the same.
Just glad the bowl for my fruit salad is finally larger so everything doesn't spill over the second I put my spoon in it. One step at a time I guess.
Why oh why do you turn off the lights at 6pm? The place is dark as hell. That's stupid.
Apart from ruining my actual atmosphere and experience - good coffee!
Leslie Koh (19/05/2016 15:29)
Great coffee joint that serves great brunch food and healthy options like whole grain breads and fruit salads.
They also roast their own coffee beans which is opposite the cafe which is also available for sale.
Great place for your morning cuppa and breakfast fixes. Price is slightly on the high side.
Free wifi is provided.

My mocha arrived with signs showing that it was already sitting there for awhile after being prepared. The pairing with a local 'kuih' was never seen before, and in my opinion did not work with the coffee. Took one bite and left it there. Ambience is pretty nice though, somehow the inflated price kept people coming still.
