Free coffee tasting. You dont have to buy anything there is no force, if you liked it buy some nice products as the contribution to this place. I personally really enjoyed the hospitality and kindness of the staff, they explained us a lot about the place!

Good introduction into how Luwak coffee is made in a very cosy setting in the middle of the plantage. Free tasters of different teas and coffees. Products might be a little overpriced but was worth the experience.

When in search for a nearby temple and standing at the side of the road looking at our phone, we were approached by a local guy from the small village telling us the temple was closed until 1 p.m. due to a celebration. The guy was a English student going to work in Hamburg who wanted to test his English. Long story short, we were lured into this coffee plantation. We took it all in good fun, enjoyed the views the degustation is nice. We didn't buy anything at the shop since we read the reviews while there. Afterwards we discovered the temple was not closed at all. In conclusion, it's not a bad place to go to in between other things but it is in its essence a tourist trap and they're scamming people a bit by lying to them about other attractions.

Oh my goodness this place was fantastic. The two were all those short was very informative. Our guide was most Pleasant. We just love the place...

Do not buy the "coffee"! What you taste is not what you get. We thought we were safe with the sugar free coconut coffee, but what we actually got was some sort of inedible, processed coconut powder with trace elements of coffee.
Tour of their grounds and tasting experience is fun. Just realize you are not tasting their products.

OK place to drink coffee. You can see how the coffee is made and also a lot of exotic plants and fruits. We tried luwak coffee (50K), taste is different but nothing too crazy. Shop is overpriced.

Nice Coffee plantation. Staffs were very friendly and they explain the whole process of coffee making. They allows to taste all blends of tea & coffee for free except the Luwak Coffee. I personally loved their mangosteen tea and bought some from them. Its a nice place to visit.

An absolutely beautiful estate, plush greenery, lots of spices and coffee plantation. The walk through the estate is wonderful and shows how beautiful still some places on our planet is.
Their Civet Coffee is good. They do have many types of Teas as well, Red Rice tea was something I had never come across. Good service and you get a chance to do traditional coffee roasting which is fun. A must visit, they have a shop as well to cater all the needs 😊

Great plantation, we learnt a lot during our tour. 12 tea and coffee samples at the end.

Amazing place to drink some coffee. They make the coffee from bean to liquid coffee right in front of your eyes. They also have the cat poo coffee ( catpoochino;) ). Cost a bit but if you're here you have to try it before you die :)
Darell K. Chung (19/02/2017 15:22)
The guide took us for a short tour around the plantation and they'll give you 12 free samples of their coffee and tea. The famous civet cat coffee is priced at 50,000 IDR per cup. Enjoy your drink while taking in the view of the 4ha plantation.

Depends on who you're going with, it could be a nice or just so-so experience. Take a guide with knowledge of plants and you'll have an excellent learning. They showed samples of the process to make the coffee there and will serve you complimentary coffees and teas for tasting. No pressure to buy anything so that's nice, since the stuff there is a little overpriced. But I guess you pay extra for the experience too.

The serve and sell various coffee (including luwak coffee) that combined with many herbal ingredients, they also explained how they made them. A unique place to visit. This place is also had a good view.

Excellent tour of the coffee plantation, got some great samples of coffee and tea. Was brought here by our driver while in Bali. Staff was very nice, helpful and friendly.
**Warning: Like many people online have reviewed, don't buy anything here. The prices are over priced and not the best quality. I think the souvenirs here are tourist trap. We bought some coffee and felt it was low quality. Save your $$ and do your homework before you buy!
.The people are very nice which is why I let my guard down. Look around, taste the coffee and leave. Word to the wise...Be warned. Go there for the view or to see the above mentioned plants, but better DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!

definitely didn't pressure us to buy anything which was great! My favorite coffee plantation, I've taken 2 groups of people here and the first tour was great, the second one was so so. But the coffee samples are great and I bought little take home presents for my family.

One of my favorite Bali places. This farm grows coffee, tobacco, lemongrass, citronella, cocoa. I bought the coconut coffee mix, one of the nicest milk coffee I have tasted though it is expensive at 70000 a packet.
Paul Bower (18/08/2016 14:02)
Great to see the herbs and spices growing. Interesting to see the coffee process as well, including a few caged civets (Perhaps not a place for PETA members!). You get a free taster of various coffees and teas at the end which is nice, however the shop is ridiculously overpriced. It's cheap compared to Western prices, particularly the kopi luwak, however all these can be purchased at half the price at shops and markets in Ubud or other local towns

Very nice place to experience the processing procedure of coffee, tea, spices, oils, flavours, creams. Friendly staff, free tasting and self roasting of coffee.
since it was a bit rainy they came up with umbrellas for everyone. great experience

OK, here's my advice--do NOT buy anything here. I'm from NYC and thought the prices here were crazy high. I got sucked BC of my vacation state of mind. The people are very nice which is why I let my guard down. Look around, taste the coffee and leave. Word to the wise...
Chris Cunnington (16/05/2016 15:15)
Had a fasinating free guided tour through the gardens, learning about all the different local plants/fruits and there uses. The free tasting is also very nice. No real pressure to buy products at the end, we did though so it might have helped.
cédric copol (11/05/2016 13:02)
The staff is very nice and informative, they explain everything ! At the end of the track you will have the chance to taste various teas and coffees for free ( and buy the one you loved after).
Even if you are not a coffee or tea addict you will appreciate this activity.
paul masters (28/03/2016 14:03)
Attentive guides for a short tour around their organic garden, followed by a tea and coffee tasting. Forget the luwak, go for the unsweetened cocoa.
I Abimanyu (02/03/2016 21:57)
The place was excellent you can see so many different plantation, for you are not living in tropical weather is recommended to visit , they will show you kind of coffee included coffee LUWAK it was great experience.

Just got ripped off at Satria Agrowisata, paid 2.5 times the price available in Ubud!
We just arrived back in Ubud after a private day tour around Ubud area with a final stroll across Jl. Monkey Forest in Ubud.
As such the visit to Satria Agrowisata was fine, because we could see all kind of plants/trees in the entrance area / garden: pineapple, coffee, cacao, jackfruit, lemongrass and so on. This was self-guided.
Afterwards, we got basic details about coffee bean processing with the possibility to try 12 different drinks for free (tea, coffee, cacao, blends). This was guided.
In the shop we bought small packages of tea, coffee and incense sticks. All were overpriced, of course, but be sure that you will / we did pay 2.5 times the price in shops in Jl. Monkey Forest!!! For each item we (coincidentally) could check just a few hours later, which was too late.
Be warned. Go there for the view or to see the above mentioned plants, but better DO NOT BUY ANYTHING!
