Sari Organik is in a beautiful location in the middle of rice fields and the walk there is amazing (you have to go by scooter or by walking from Ubud main road), the food vegetables are fresh but the chicken looked really sketchy and more like chicken brine as opposed to chicken! If you want to go for a nice walk and have a green juice or smoothie, do so but lower your expectations on the food front!

Superb views alongside to sari organic. Ricefields on your both sides. The pizza is awesome.
All is good but somehow the service is too slow maybe they have less worker.

Probably the best place to chill. Good thai tea with organic balinese meal even tough the sambel matah taste slightly different. Well it depends back on people mind and perception :)

Lovely place among the rice fields. Serve fresh healthy and tasty food. Always a good stop if you take a walk outside Ubud city center.

The staff is very hospitable. The scene can be found in many places around Ubud, not unique. The walk is a nice experience. Food was OK, view didn't make up for it.

The walk through the padi field village was a nice break away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The views are fantastic and the local decor is quaint. The food was delicious and organic but the restaurant itself feels under maintained. Still a great trek.

We had a Balinese crepe which was delicious. It had bananas inside and they tasted different but great of all the bananas I have had in my life. The views from this place are amazing and the staff was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant itself seems a bit worn out but with a bit of care and money it should be back to be an amazing and relaxing place.
I highly recommend you have the crepe. Was delicious.

Place has changed a lot. Still has beautiful views but needs a lot more care and thought regarding animals! Very shocked that kitten mewing in kitchen was thrown in bag which was tied up and taken out 'somewhere'. Also very cute animals wandering around but waitresses touching and carrying puppy and then bringing food to table without washing hands. Dirty menus, untidy eating area. Maybe a lack of management. Believe in the Sari Organik farming principle but won't be going back. Very sad and disappointed.

The path to get here is beautiful if the weather is nice. Seating is gorgeous among the rice fields. We came here with five people and their food all lacked flavor and was pretty pricey for Ubud. However the PIZZA was amazing, do not get anything else!

Nice view, good spirit, good variety in the menu. But some dishes came half cold, the juice weren't great and the waiting time was long. My partner as a vegan recommends it, i don't.

Bit of a trek to find this place (all part of the fun!). Good food. Great staff and atmosphere and well priced.

I went to this place several times. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields on the way to get there. The food is great. I loved the food and the breathtaking view. Very recommended, especially for people who love organic food. I love their pumpkin soup and pizza.

Amazing restaurant which grows or locally sources all it's ingredients with incredible views of the rice fields. Difficult to get to as the only road in is a walking or motor bike path, but well worth the trek. I would recommend to arrive before sunset so that you can feel more comfortable on the 15 min walk in.

In the evening, a 15 minute walk down an unlit path just to get to the restaurant was not fun. If you must visit Sari Organik after dark, go by scooter or take a torch.
The decor was pleasant and the food was well presented. My wife enjoyed her pizza but I found the mushroom chicken dish and fried noodles to be on the bland side.
The prices were reasonable and the service was acceptable rather than special. I wouldn't go again.

If you're into organic food, this is the place you should go in Ubud, You can find the location easily on the map, but need some efforts to reach the place. Located in the middle of rice field, if you go by car, you need to park your car on the sidewalk, then walk around 1 km, but if you're using motorbike, you can reach the place without hassle. I love the guacamole, other dishes are awesome too. The price is bit high, considering it is not easy to go here

Very nice food, beautiful views in the daylight, fireflies over the paddies at night.
Nathan Thorpe (06/06/2017 10:17)
I visited here in June 2017. The food was very bland and tasteless, it was the worst meal that we had in Bali. The menu is generally overpriced and there are only tourists here. The surrounding area is very nice to walk around and the views are great.
Erwin Saputra (30/04/2017 14:20)
The drinks are fresh and tasty, food is bit average (depend on what you order though).
The place is not accessible by car, so you'll need to walk or use motor bike (around 1-2km from main road).
The view is nice, there's rice field around. It' recommended to come in the morning or in the afternoon, since the heat can be unbearable (depend on the season)

Amazing sunset dinner spot overlooking a rice field. You can't get there by car, only foot or motorbike. It's about 1 km from the main road and we'll worth the walk through the rice fields lined with boutique local shops. Bintang and sunset, what could go wrong?
Meiyi Cheng (23/04/2017 01:31)
Friendly staff, they sell the same products as the Sari Organika in Penestanan. One star off because of the road. Gosh, be 200% mentally prepared for a thrilling and annoying ride on this bumpy road. Seriously, it's probably better if you walk!
vaibhav poddar (21/04/2017 01:10)
The only good thing here is the view. The food is average. Its hard to reach. We went for lunch. The only fan was not working and it was way too hot to enjoy the food.

Lovely setting in the rice terraces, but not my favorite meal we ate in Ubud. The food was very fresh and tasty but considering how many amazing healthy places there are to eat in town this was not one of my favorite meals. I got the raw Thai soup and pad Thai salad. Both were just okay. The homemade bread looks good but was a little dry. I'm glad I went but I wouldn't go back.
axel tampe (16/02/2017 12:46)
great view & nice 20min walk to there (cannot be reached by car)
..but: our banana lassi had no yoghurt inside (100% banana), cocktails were really disgusting (so sour&bitter) + unfriendly service. Our advise: just come for view and bottled beer!
Daniel Sumbayak (24/01/2017 07:46)
Went here for juice and view of rice paddies. The juice is great, the price is a bit expensive. The drinks are pretty nice. The way up is pretty tricky. You need to park the car down on the main street and walk up for around 20 minutes. The walk offers some views, but nothing special. Road is pretty small, and pretty hilly, but no problem for regular travelers.

Fruit juices were great. And the grilled veggie salad was so good, we ordered an extra portion after! Service was perhaps one of the worst I've experienced in Ubud though. Interesting walk in.
Thomas Rosenfeld (16/12/2016 10:59)
Great view and feel (but a little tricky to get to). The food however was fairly plain. Can't complain too much given the cheap prices.
James Koay (01/09/2016 01:43)
Hard yo get to, need to go through a small road that cab nearly walk 2 person sometimes. If you have a bike can ride it up there though a bit treacherous. Good is good but not 100% organic as I was told because of their supplier. Anyway, go for the ambience. It's right beside padi field, really beautiful. After sunset nothing much you can see though.
budiono tri (22/08/2016 02:03)
if you searching for very healthy food on the ubud, then go to this place. I recomend dont expect too much about the place.
Georgia Morley (16/08/2016 09:35)
I love this place. The sari salad is comprised of about ten different types of organic greens from there garden, has a incredible vinaigrette too. The pita is hand made and the beverages fresh, healthy and delicious. But the view is why you come here; nestled up in the rice terraces, you can walk in and then enjoy the vista and the food!
Елизавета Петрова (14/07/2016 06:55)
Much less than we expected.
The place is a bit crowdy and probably that is the reason why you are waiting to order and for the order so long.
The menu is full of organic food mostly rather traditional which is rightly cooked but not more.
For us the main plus is the road through the rice fields to reach the cafe and the view around.

Poor service and mediocre food.. Got here just before 8am, official opening hour. But staff refused to take order till 8:30 as they are not ready..

Quiet rustic cafe overlooking the farm. Good place to lunch while in Ubud. Tasty fusion food (incl. veg options) made using organic produce grown in the surrounding area. About 20-30 mins hike from the main road depending on your speed. If you wana avoid walking, can rent scooters. Great home brewed wine selection as well.
matthew anderson (02/05/2016 02:29)
Damn! Sari Organic used to be good, but now full of the type of people from 'authentic bali' bus tours. As they no longer need to pull a crowd, the food no longer seems loved and on a scale to serve crowds. What a shame. It used to be grear. Better elsewhere. Try 'Sweet Orange'.
Natalia Lebeda (14/03/2016 16:33)
Unfortunately after my 3rd visit I will never come back here. I was really disappointing about the stuff of the cafe.. I much liked that place and always recommended it to my friends. But when I was today there with my two dogs and stuff didn't allow me being inside the cafe with them, even my dogs were on leash and nobody were on the second floor! And the bartender guy said me that no pets but I saw one cat under the sofa... So my family sat at the table and I've eaten outside the cafe because couldn't leave my dogs alone. And the stuff didn't propose even water to the dogs... So... Now I can say that this cafe is ABSOLUTELY DOG-UNFRIENDLY PLACE. And food was not really good like on my last visit.

Highly recommended for the minty juices (The Pink Treat is amazing), flavoursome rosella tea kumbucha, and the amazing sunset view over rice paddies. It is worth every step of the 800m walk from main road.
"There is no pesticide in my farm. I pick and eat. See, bugs eat my crops. It's okay. We can share. I make my own compost too. I used to sell produces but now the restaurant needs more than the growth. I buy some from other farmers. I give them good price.
Nowadays young people don't want to farm. It is hard work. People also sell their paddies. To build homestay, hotels. Maybe there will be no more farmers Bali in the next generation".
When I met Nila, chef and owner of #SariOrganik restaurant and organic farm, she had rice grains adorning her temples and between eye brows. Nila originated from the mountains in Indonesia (pardon me on forgetting the name of her village), she worked in construction at New York before starting this farm in 2001.
@SariOrganik Restaurant celebrates her 10th anniversary in #Ubud, #Bali.
