Awesome activity for kids. Definitely want to return for a adult class.

I have wanted to learn pottery for quite some time. I find that I need to immerse myself to learn something in order to give me time to absorb. I registered to learn over 5 days, 3 hours per day. I am currently on day four and am feeling a little sad that tomorrow will be my last day.
The studio- the setting is absolutely beautiful and serene. It is covered, but open air. I love hearing the cicadas and roosters while I work. There are two dogs who keep me company. I am greeted with a kind smile and enthusiasm every morning.
Suzan- I feel grateful that my first experience with pottery has been with Suzan. She is very experienced. Her teaching style is clear and simple, step by step. She gives you space to learn through error and repitition. When she sees you repeating a mistake, she will intervene to correct you and explain why something isn't working. Her firm and clear style combined with her sweet voice make her a pleasure to learn from.
She has been living in Bali for 25 years and really cares for the people. I think it's extra special to spend time with her and learn about Bali through her eyes.
Class time is from 9:30-12:30. This leaves the rest of the day to do anything you please.
* I have seen people come through for one day workshops. The studio makes it a point for everyone to try hand and wheel building and to complete a piece in their session. That being said, I would highly recommend doing more than one day if you can.
I am looking forward to returning.

Excellent. My children attend the Saturday kid's class and they absolutely love it. Staff are knowledgeable and kind and facilities are great.

I would not recommend the workshop or this studio. If you have done pottery before, as it is very basic (we did two hours hand building and 45 minutes on the wheel). Agus was nice and clearly very talented but class had a serious tone to it, and was perhaps a bit boring if you have done pottery before. The main disappointment was that we were told our pieces would be ready in roughly three weeks, but when I called the studio after 3 weeks Agus said there hadn't been enough business to do a firing and they were waiting for more pieces so it would be a further 3 weeks. He offered to ship them to Ireland for 50 dollars (!!!) which is as much as the workshop itself. I understand circumstances change but they easily could have emailed me about this or made some effort to contact me. I've done plenty of other courses in Oz, Canada and Ireland and they have been much cheaper and more fun!
