Cons: High prices. Slow Internet.
Pros: Delicious food.
Very interesting hotel. It is located on the slope of the mountain. Pool over the precipice. Beautiful, cozy. Classic Balinese terraces with vegetation on the territory of the hotel. Very expensive dishes. Many mosquitoes and reptiles in the room. Overpriced taxi prices.

We spent five days here and loved every bit of Ubud and the resort. It took 1.5 hrs to get to from the airport, with heavy traffic around the beach areas.
The 1-bedroom (Srikandi) pool villas look directly onto a rainforest/jungle, across a narrow valley, so it’s very peaceful and beautiful too. All one hears is birds, the croak of frogs, and very occasionally, distant voices from a village over the hill. Otherwise total peace and quiet!
Our villa (#113) is beautifully maintained and cleaning staff come in while you’re having breakfast, and again for a (thorough) turndown service at dusk. Guest amenities and towelling are ample and changed constantly. Also a choice of indoor and outdoor showers, plus step down bath with fresh Frangipani flowers replenished daily!
All staff members are very focused on guests and genuinely happy to do their bit - constantly using the guests’ names too!
They have an extensive and excellent breakfast menu which is included in the tariff - apart from lattes or special coffees - which are ~$6 additional.
Good tour options incl the 2-hour 'village and easy walk past rice paddies' we thought was very good value at around $30pp. Putu our guide was interesting and happy to talk on every subject imaginable! The walk starts just outside the resort.
The only weak point in the entire operation was the main restaurant for dinners. Huge menu and unnecessarily formal for Bali we thought. We caught the free shuttle into Ubud town each evening, where there are dozens of good places to eat.
The resort’s free shuttle service runs the 15-minute drive into and back from town daily at 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 6pm. They even offer a final trip back to the resort, leaving town at 8:30pm.
This is an exceptionally well run 5-star resort and we thought it good value too!

This place is amazing for its views and quality of the villas. It's in a secluded area right next to some beautiful rice fields, there is also a river below the villas that you can White water raft on. Good is very expensive at this resort so you may want to buy your own mini bar drinks and put them in the fridge, the don't offer snacks in the villas as well so but your own. The villas are amazing and you will feel like a celebrity, thou they are a little quite and getting into Ubud is about a 30 minute drive, the resort had a shuttle service bit it's very limited and to get the quickly will cost your $12 which is about double what a taxi would cost. Other villas I've stayed in have a free shuttle that is available all the time so this needs improvement imo. Still recommend going here if it suits your budget.

The resort is an absolute star!! The rooms are gorgeous and huge. The best place to get away from the busy life of the cities. Special mention to the infinity private pools the rooms offer. Perfect way and place to interact with the nature. Silence is truly bliss here!

Absolutely enchanting! The service is extraordinary and the villas themselves are spectacular! Remember to bring mosquito repellent.

We booked some nights in this beautiful hotel for our stay in Bali. Unfortunately the Volcano Agung in Bali will erupt in hours, days or weeks which led to the fact that many countries published travel warnings. In addition some airlines also canceled their flights so we decided to not visit Bali because of the high risk. We had to cancel our 2 hotels and our flight. We got a free cancelation for everything only this Hotel decided to fee their customer even if there a a natural catastrophe. This has for me nothing to do with customer care or their "good reputation" with what they advert. I'm very disappointed and will never chose this hotel again.

Great place, fantastic value, food is a 3.5/5 but they're very friendly. Feels serene.

If you are looking for ultimate relaxation then this is the place to come.
Stunning grounds, amazing views and soothing sounds and so well looked after by wonderfully friendly staff.
Wish I could stay forever!
In response to the occasional negative feedback of insects and proximity to Ubud town centre - the villas are nestled next to the Ayung river and look onto dense jungle. Insects unfortunately are part of the deal with this serene setting though aren't any worse than anywhere else in Bali. Being 10-15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Ubud town centre couldn't be more desirable from a relaxed point of view and ensures the only noises you here are the river, birds and other animals. Heaven!

The hotel is nice, but you won't enjoy it if you hate insects. We struggled with insects everyday. The villa view is fantastic, the food was good, but the staff was kind of not friendly. When we first arrived they wanted us to pay 300$ for tours and when we didn't pay and didn't go on tours with them, we didn't get friendly treatment. It's a bit far from the center, it's about 20 mins away in taxi but in general we made the best out of it, it was okay.

Very nice rooms, and very good service. All employees are super kind. Food at the restaurant is ok and the spa as well. Spa has no air conditioning. Breakfast has 3 or 4 options of fixed menus. No buffet breakfast

The place was amazing. I went there for my honeymoon. The staff made our stay lovely and comfortable. The view from the villa was mesmerizing and refreshing. The out side pool is great it would have been perfect if it was heated. The sounds of the geckos takes a little bit of getting used to but they are harmless. The service was excellent and very helpful. The hotel offers shuttle services from and to downtown. Highly recommended.

The service the staff and the venue was just lovely. Everyone is keen to make your stay welcome. There are plenty of activities to signup to as well. I only wish the breakfast was better.

I wont even think about going to this place again even if it is for free. So damn dirty. Thousands of insects. Found a mouse in the villa. Dirty bed, dirty sheets, dirty pillows. Broken shower.
Mark In Bali (06/07/2016 04:48)
Apart from the very steep pathways that meander around the hotel (electric buggies on call though) this place is a perfect for a quiet Ubud retreat or intimate liaison
Kyouho Lee (14/07/2016 02:17)
It is not bad, but too far away from ubud. Room survice is soso, but breakfast is terrible. As a whole, it is too expensive considering it's price. I will find another hotel next time and will not recommand to my friends this hotel.

Ubud was our second stop after a hectic week in seminyak with a lot of activities .. We were looking for relaxation and some quiet days .. The villa was indeed quiet and very nice with a great view. The pool was perfect as well. There was no breakfast buffet but rather you order what you want from a sets menu - wasn't that optimum since the variety wasn't big .. Housekeeping didn't pay much attention to some details in the room while cleaning up. And don't
Order a Greek salad - since it's more of an onion salad.
