The room had a great view, it was clean, and the hot water came unexpectedly quick (for a resort that is not in a city). They brought breakfast in the room for free, upon request. The restaurant was ok-ish. However, It could be better for the prices asked. We had better food for the same price in the city of Ubud.
The staff was extremely nice, always willing to help. At times they seemed to be nervous, but because they are mostly young and probably less experienced. Surely they will get better with time.
In addition, i observed few of negative feedback on trip advisor, and was surprised to see that manager replied to most of them. I have to say that also it appeared that they have implemented the changes that thety promised earlier in the negative feedbacks.
Overall, excellent stay!

This is a good place for chilling. It's also a bit too far out of Ubud. The resort offers a shuttle bus back and forth for free.

I love staff. They are so helpful and friendly. The location so peaceful. ...anything for relax but my bed so moist (at rainy season) even I turn on the air conditioning all the time.

This Hotel is AMAZING! It’s a quaint beautiful resort in the lush jungle of Ubud, Bali. It’s rite down the street from a water temple and a short drive from Ubud Market. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful. The rooms are very clean and have a Bohemian feel. We had a garden villa with a HUGE outdoor bathroom, shower and giant tub which was so romantic and hands down the coolest bathroom I’ve ever seen! Their infinity pool overlooks the water temple and lush natural landscape. Their staff is exceptionally friendly and make you feel so welcome. We ate at their restaurant Kailasha a few times and the food was fantastic! They have a selection for everyone ranging from Balinese to Thai and western options. Breakfast was also wonderful each morning! They offer Yoga and morning walks through the local village where you can see the rice patties growing and see locals homes, schools and handicraft shops. They offer complimentary shuttle service into town. Our experience at the Spa was nothing short of incredible. We did a couples massage which consisted of an hour aromatherapy massage followed by all natural chemical-free facials using natural ingredients, follwed by a body scrub and flower milk bath. It was the best Spa experience I have ever had (& I Spa a whole lot!) Their treatments are in open rooms to nature, the water fountains and ambiance’s is so beautiful and relaxing. Their staff is very professional and talented. The best part about all of this is that their prices are fantastic! Very affordable, for such excellent accommodations, services and amenities. We highly recommend this resort and we cannot wait to return again soon!!!

The setting is beautiful and the idea is beautiful but they miss the mark on execution.
We had the pool villa 902 which was beautiful on first viewing but then we noticed the damp with mould and paint bubbling. The room smelt of mould, including the cushions and the curtains. The big deep bath was useless considering it took 20 minutes to fill to a depth of 20cms and then the hot water ran out taking another 20 minutes to heat up again. The WiFi was unreliable and the AC rattled and was loud even on low speed. I had to turn it off to go to sleep then wake up when hot and turn it back on in order to cope. The outdoor pool with the room was nice, but was too cold - this spot was not as hot as other parts of Bali meaning we probably spent about 3 minutes in it.
Staff were courteous and lovely but seemed to lack experience and decent training. We were always being sold to (what are you doing tomorrow? and before we were even taken to our room: would you like to buy a romantic dinner?). The staff also seemed junior and nervous and at times were too formal - giving the place an unrelaxed vibe. In one instance laundry was not collected because we miscounted how many items there were (who cares) so two staff came and collected it and watched us recount!
The hotel is also far from Ubud with nothing of interest close by, at times we felt trapped because we didn't feel at ease. The hotel runs a shuttle too infrequently and the last one back is at a pathetic 845pm. Cocktails were bad and bar service was slow adding to the lack of relaxation. Despite all of this the food was exceptional and when there were issues they were keen to resolve. The manager also sensed that we weren't to happy and once we got through some sort of coffee voucher offer (no thanks) he gave me his email to give written feedback. I also sensed from staff an impending fear of bad feedback, which should not be the main concern, it should just be the guests' comfort.
We liked how the room was big and open, having the big doors open in the afternoon with no AC was quite special and it was truly tranquil.
They need to improve on the room's inability to cope with the damp and train staff to relax to make this place work.
Disappointing and not worth the cost. Avoid the villas, the suites are probably better value. The photos look good...

Loved this resort. Amazing views and beautiful rooms. The service was pretty good. They have a free shuttle which runs every 2-3 hours to ubud, which made it super easy to get to town. The only things I found annoying were that the lights in the rooms were really dull, considering there's not much to do in the local area and the last shuttle gets you back around 9:15 you're often in your room early at night, so the poor lighting was really noticed. Also the restaurant and spa were very overpriced compared to the local area. Full priced massage at the resort is 6-10 times the price of one in town... although they did offer us 50% off, still expensive.

Absolutely loved my stay! My husband an I stayed for 5 nights here and it's a breathtaking location! Our room was perfect, the staff the sweetest, the food amazing, and incredible massages!! You cannot go wrong staying here. It is farther from the center of town but they have free shuttles every day there and back. Perfect place to be away from the crowds and still enjoy touristy destinations if part of your trip!

Fine view. Nice pool. Expensive tasteless food. The staff seemed a little unhappy and were a bit too surveillant towards us. There were geckos in the room and ants everywhere, including the bed.

1 of the best resort I have stayed so far. The staff is super friendly which makes the stay unforgettable. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food is great which is a bonus and the view from the restaurant and the pool is just breath taking.

The only reason this place gets 4 star is their wifi . We practically didn't have internet the whole time we were there.Beside that , everything was perfect . This place is beautiful and peaceful , the room service was great. We got a welcome drink and food. This resort is a little far from downtown of Ubud and trust me you don't want to be close to there , its so busy and crowded. This resort gives you the advantage of being somewhere quiet and whenever you wanted to go to city , resorts shuttle can take you and bring you back. When we were leaving they gave us a gift bag which was so nice of them .

A super lovely hotel. The stuff is more then supporting and nice. The food has a real good quality and the whole area is very good integrated into the nature. Also they offer free yoga in morning.

Excellent food and service at their restaurant, bit on the pricey side fort Bali though

The resort was beautiful but the staff were amazing!
Jez Duck (28/05/2016 10:35)
Typical resort setup, with very little local business integration. They offer some free experiences and free shuttle bus into Ubud (40 minutes) but you have then another 20 minutes walk to get to the palace. Any other tourist trips or taxi service is offered using their drivers (this is not made obvious ) and is around 60% more expensive than a local driver. Staff clearly trained to be hyper friendly which got a bit grating after a while. Nice room and pool. Restaurant good quality - beware, wine and spirits are super expensive.

We went with the whole family (two kids our son 5 months and our daughter 3 years old) to Puri Gangga Resort in the beginning of February. The stay was above all our expectations. The staff was warm and friendly, breakfast and food excellent and the hotel with its surroundings incredible beautiful and peaceful. We also took the morning walk over the ricefields with a guide arranged by the hotel and also went in to city center of Ubud with the hotels free of charge shuttle bus. We are so happy and pleased by our stay and hope that we can come back again one day!
