Luxury defined. Huge landscaped garden which has a jungle feel. Rooms large enough to fit in a few modern day apartments 😁

Nice hotel with 5 rooms only Cozy, and clean.
Only break fast is provided.
Rest of food you have to go-to ubud main road, it's 4km away.
If want nature surrounding you, this nice place. Go with family, secured and safe.

Just left the Pandawas. This place is in a very nice area, a little far from the center of Ubud. A lot of birds, jungle etc. Only 4 villas, which means it's never get too crowded. Staff are very nice, they do all their best to make your stay enjoyable. However, the management should think in long term. The place itself is getting a little tired. Towels, bed linen, pillows and blankets are very worn out. Breakfast is weak, not too much to choose from. This not, what you expect from a place like this. The outside bathroom looks great at first sight, but never ever dream of you will use the large bathtube. It is always full of leaves, and could take 3-4 hours to fill it up as the water pressure is too low.

The room is huge and gorgeous, the bathroom is outside and very nice and staff have been lovely. They even taxi you to the local town of ubud.

This is our second time back to Pandawas villas in Ubud, well actually Tegallalang.
We would stay again.
It is quiet and peaceful.
The staff are all so lovely and friendly, they became our friends.
Wayan was particularly friendly but really all were wonderful and really helpful, and the drop off and pick up van in and out of Ubud was helpful if you didn't want to hire a motorbike.
We could have breakfast late so we could sleep in and have it you the pond or outside our room looking at the beautiful view and pool or inside.
We cannot fault this place at all and I would recommend it to anyone.

An elegant villa with nice Indonesia touch for the interior design. This villa is perfect for my hideaway & lay back vacation

Arrival and service in general - no one ever around. had to constantly look for staff to get a drink or order food. Food was OK. Not the typical standard of Ubud. Indonesian menu could do with more options/variety. Range of food was poor (why so much Indian?).
Common areas/dining area - lovely and ambient, but not exactly well maintained; the decking around the pool is rotting, the pool lounge chairs/beds are on their last legs and the cushions were thin, ripped and dirty.
Room - Spacious but very dated. Furniture was old, worn and a bit greasy. Huge bed but mattress hard as a rock, only a very thin mattress cover (terry towelling) without a pillow top or decent level of protection from actual mattress. Did mention this to staff who suggested they could try to find a different mattress but that was it.
Ants everywhere even in bed which I know is part of staying in the jungle but these suckers were biting. Thankfully, there were hardly any mosquitos.
Had a massage - that was pretty good, seems that they outsource it from somewhere else though.
Noise - woken up at 5am by cars and motorbikes in 1st or 2nd gear trying to get up the big hill that the resort is on. Also the aircon in the room was quite creaky. Probably not a big deal unless you're a light sleeper or would rather hear the sounds of birds/nature, as we prefer.
We were booked in for 4 nights but checked out after the first night as the Villas really don't live up to the advertised conditions or photos. The whole place needs maintenance and new furniture, its very dated - circa 1970 maybe - and we were generally just very uncomfortable there because everything we sat on was either rock hard or about to break or covered in grime. Really easy stuff to fix/maintain but it looks like the garden and the pool get the maintenance money but little else. Place has real potential but its not managed well (didnt see any management staff at all) nor did the staff seem to take pride in their Villas or their customer service. I did discuss this with the receptionist who said it was not part of their policy to provide refunds for guests who weren't happy although she'd speak to a manager. I was not asked if i'd like to speak to the manager which may have been more productive. Was eventually offered 50% off of the last night (so about $60) - which was more insulting than anything and I politely declined and asked them to put it toward investing in mattress toppers for the beds. Very bad customer service policy in my opinion - you never tell a guest that you don't refund in the event they are unhappy. I think the general norm is to first apologise and then offer complimentary meal or a drink and if there is no solution to the noise / bed issue - discuss cancellation terms. They were VERY keen to be paid for all charges upfront as well - that should have been the first indicator that the priorities of the place were a bit off.
