Without any hesitation I can tell you that it’s a good place to stay for a couple of days. It’s peaceful and calm between the rice fields and good clean rooms with amazing facilities. The food was terrible the only thing that was a total disappointment. As it’s a family run business, they don’t own any cars and the cars for customers to be picked up it dropped to are booked from outside, so they tend to be at least an hour late. We missed out on our flight because the cab wasn’t there even though we booked at the reception 24 hours prior to the flight. Other than that , alls good.

So friendly staff, on time for shuttle bus. Nice rooms including lovely bathroom. They provide you a phone to do communication for front desk and shuttle driver. Just for serve dinner and breakfast, we need almost one hour to send to our room. But thank you so much for the great experiences.

Is sad to ruin a day or a full stay during your holidays. Be aware! The hotel is an other structure from what they show in the pictures. Don't get trapped, the pictures are from the villa of the hotel that is away. The hotel is not close to ricefields, no view...

Pajar House Ubud & Villa was a mixed bag for us. Overall, I enjoyed staying here and I think I'd recommend it, but there are a few things you need to know before confirming a stay at this place. So, like many reviews have mentioned before, the hotel consists of two separate locations: the house and the villa. The house is located in the middle of a local kampung in the north of Ubud and has no views at all. The villas, however, are located 15 minutes away (walking distance) from the house area and they are situated in the middle of a bunch of rice fields. I booked a room at the "house area" and expected rice field views. At first, I was disappointed there were none, but I do have to say the friendliness of the staff, the atmosphere of the hotel, and the free (from 10am to 10pm) shuttle service to the center of Ubud made up for the lack of great views. The shuttle service means you can get dropped and picked up from the Ubud Palace in the center of town. As you check-in at the hotel, you'll receive a mobile phone with a number to dial if you require a pick up. It's pretty convenient if you want to have lunch or dinner in the city.
During our stay, I thought the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We always enjoyed chatting with the different drivers and joking around. And we also had an extremely loud tokeh (a large lizard) in our room which interrupted our sleep and rest and the staff tried to capture it, but didn't succeed. Eventually the hotel let us change to the room next door. The hotel garden is also beautiful and well-maintained and there is a small pool to cool down in. You can also make use of the bigger pool located at the villas, which is awesome. The only real downside of this hotel, besides the lack of scenic views, is the disappointing breakfast and meals. I thought it was quite bad and the a la carte menu was expensive and I think there is a lot of room for improvement here. With more affordable and tastier food, this place could a lot better.

Very thin walls - can hear everything from neighbor and nature sounds (such as very loud crickets and way too many roosters especially in the morning). They have multiple properties so be very aware of what you're booking - we thought we'd have a rice field view but we didn't and that location is even further away from ubud. Very flexible and nice ubud city shuttle where they give you a cellphone and you can call for a shuttle/private car to pick you up across the street from the ubud palace usually with around 15 minutes from call. Can be arranged other locations or outside their free shuttle hours for a fee (0900-2200). Not that great food on property but nice they have it. Must be keeping anhmals nearby which can cause smells at times. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Misleading pictures of open rice paddies and villa overlooking rice fields. We got told they have x2 businesses and we were booked into a small dark half villa with absolutely no view whatsoever- was walled off resort. Saw rat and cockroaches. We could hear the guest of the other half of the villa coughing the whole night. Bed sheets was worn out and had blood stains. Towels also worn out. They also removed the review on booking.coms website.

Me and my best friend stayed here for 4 nights are we had the most relaxing stay. The people at Pajar House can not do enough for you. They are so lovely! We enjoyed our whole stay there! The place is beautiful, clean and quiet. They will give you lifts to town and organise your trips for you no problem at all! There rooms are spotless. The outdoor shower was my favourite. It’s really cute as they give you a mobile to contact them if you need a lift or any help! Thank you for having us guys. I can’t wait to go back and visit.

Zaraf Bow once said, ' Architecture is not about making extraordinary structures, it is about making ordinary structures extraordinary'. Pajar Ubud satisfies this quote for the later.
The serenity of adjectives will certainly fall short on describing the peace one finds in this far away land.

Outstanding accommodation for the price. Free shuttle service to and from the center of Ubud and they offer many excellent guided tours. One thing that could be improved on is the breakfast in my opinion which really wasn't very good at all.
