I went here in 2010, and was having flashback memories of how good the meal was, and I decided to find the restaurant online and leave a review! I can't remember exactly what I hod, but we were 5 people, and we were all AMAZED with the food that we had. The service was also top notch, and the atmosphere was very cool.

Delicious food + teatime
Friendly, prompt service, good selection of Indonesian and Western food, good cakes (you want the chocolate truffle cake), selection of coffee and tea, best cappuccino froth in Ubud. Arty decor.

Been a loyal customer from a long time. A must to visit everytime I come to Ubud.
My favorite dish is duck with urakan sauce. (Ask the server, it is not on the menu anymore).
The best dessert is the pineapple cake with Chilli sorbet.

Always borderline empty and I can't understand why. Service is quick and attentive, and the food is good. I heard about the seared scallops and green tea noodle in a travel book and ordered that. Paired with the fish of the day it was the best thing I've eaten in Bali.

We were just here for the desserts.
The Pandan Creme Brûlée was really classy looking and delicious.
Soufflé was average at best.
Customer service was good.

Has to be the best restaurant I have eaten in, ever. Food was perfect, everything presented beautifully and reasonably priced (expensive for Ubud but worth every penny). Shame it's so far away!

Lamak's been around for more than 10 years. The first time I visited was about 9 years ago. I remembered it being superb. My expectations and excitement from Revisiting this time round was unfortunately not met. Not that the food wasn't nice, just that it wasn't as nice as I remembered.

Been here 9 years ago. And yesterday and today :) As delicious as it was before and the service is really nice. It was the only restaurant that accepted to serve us tonight after 22:30.

This is one of the most expensive restaurants in Ubud, and as such you would expect the food also to be the best. While some people in our party enjoyed their food somewhat the dishes were very hit and miss, which should not be the case on such a limited menu. The passionfruit used in the meals and drinks was off, and the red meat dishes were bland and flavourless. The duck was quite good, but not as good as many warung in the area that charge a fraction of the price. The atmosphere was not great, which is actually quite difficult to achieve in Bali given the natural surrounds. Try any of the other places on this road before heading in here for anything more than a beer.
