Nice but needs improvement, everything is ok except moldy smell in the room. For someone thats not a big deal but in my case i felt really uncomfortable.

Stay away! We arrived and everything seemed alright but there was a bug nest in our refrigerator and when we called down they came up to clean the room. It was extremely dirty, there was dirt all in the washroom, a stain on the floor right by the door and I would guess they did little to the room other than change the sheets before we arrived. I gave the supervisor a chance in the morning to compensate us or apologize by letting her know our issues. She did little more than say "it happens". For the price paid and the quality of the staff, I would spend your money elsewhere.

All the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, our room had a strange smell and yellow stains on the sheets. The view from the first floor balconies is basically just a wall. The experience was neither great nor terrible. Good for the budget traveler, or just an overnight stay in Ubud.

The 'luxury' of the Hotel wasn't so important to me. My trip was, to learn about Bali & its people, their culture and religion etc. and I certainly did. If you expect 5-star western resorts go to Miami Florida and add another one or two zeros at the end of your total bill... hahahaha. They do their best and a great Job to make it a great stay for us. I've gotten less and paid more for accommodation here in Australia!
Anyhow, for me the Hotel was what I paid for and the staff members were absolutely helpful and beautiful. The service was great!
I enjoyed & loved every minute about Bali & its surrounding, although some of it of course, was very challenging and confronting to accept/respect, because of the differences between our culture/knowledge and theirs. I am proud to say that I handled it very well. After all we are travelling in their land. When it comes to the environment and animal welfare I believe that education will do the trick but will probably take another 2-3 generations. It was very nice to hear from some younger locals that they are very much questioning certain traditional undertakings, their behaviour in within the environment and the damage it is doing. They well and truly have started to deal with it. One local person was very disappointed that he had to tell me, that he has never travelled overseas and believes that there is nothing much good in Bali. I told him how wrong he was, coming from a 'rich' country or so called 'western world', that, as little as I could see from Bali, most of them are much closer and in touch with nature than we are. They have much more human instinct left than most of us. I took a lot of goodies for my soul home with me which makes me more human again. We (western people) may have more money but I very much doubt, that we have more in general :) What I really questioned, were white people behaving as if they are somehow better than the locals - treating them like servants... disgusting!!!
More knowledge doesn't make you a better or nicer person than someone else or more worthy. It just means that you were lucky enough to have an education. If anything, we can call each other 'different'. So please use your knowledge wisely and gently share it with others.

central location in ubud area, and we had great stay there

It is easy to find Inata as it is located very strategically in the middle of Ubud town. Our room was right at the end, therefore it was very quiet and comfortable, away from the busy street. The room is clean and the internet connection is very good. This is a great place if you are looking for a quiet place, in the middle of Ubud town with easy access to taxis and food. A good place if you are on a budget.

great hotel with feel of a villa. spacious, quiet but short distance from the center of Ubud. the pancakes at breakfast are not bad either!
