Found this place by coincidence and I don't concur with the previous reviews. I tried their rhubarb cashew tart (which sounded very promising) and the amount sugar is overwhelming, you can barely taste the rhubarb and the cashew.

The attached market is great! :)
u can order ingredients for cooking to arrive the next day, in good local prices, which is really hard to get for tourist!
Also the bakery is great!

An absolute delight. Baked on the seemingly small premises of what looks like a simple little grocery store but offering some of the best dessert pastries and cakes you could hope to find. The baker knows his stuff! Tried the lemon meringue tart, apple tart and chocolate cake and they surpassed expectation. A real hidden gem of a place. The Balinese coffee was great, too. Check it out!

Best cakes in Ubud! Stopped by this gem on the way to monkey forest, we thought the cakes looked so good they must be bought in, however learned that the cakes were made on the premises,,,,,,, better than any cake we had in England..... Price is even better!

Ibu Bakery has a nice variety of cakes, tarts and other kind of pastries. It's not organic or vegan so if you are looking for healthy eating maybe this will not be your piece of cake (pun intended ☝) . On the other hand, prices are really good so if you have a sweet tooth and you are craving for a piece of normal chocolate cake and a cappuccino and don't have a lot money then, yes, this place may be a good choice. They also offer free Wifi and the service is really good.
