The view is priceless and walking down to the river is absolutely stunning! The 3 course meal was good, but the truffle fries that come with the steak were not made from scratch and didn't contain any truffle or truffle oil. All in all, a pricey but relaxing experience.

I have been to many nice resort hotels and this one takes the Cake. Many nice surprises. I am cheap and never spend money like this, but I have to say the stay was well worth it.

I must say Too far, I didnt stay here so I couldnt give you any information about the room ect. suitable for honeymoon couples, private villa. They allow you to sit with minimum spent.

Amazing location set on a mountain side. All of the staff are very nice and very hospitable. You are in the jungle so be prepared for insects and maybe a geco or two. I would definatly stay again. Its pricy in comparison to other villas but if a quiet retreat is what your after then go for it!

Riley Bennett (24/03/2018 15:18)
Amazing stay! To say the least! If you are looking for an Exclusive experience in Ubud or Bali — look no further! The villas are amazing of course. Buffet breakfast was included but all other spa activities and meals are extra. 🙏🌴

Dear Hanging gardens of Bali, do you value customer service? I guess you will answer this positively as you are after all in the hospitality business.
However, you make every single one of your customers do mental arithmetic for every single item on your menu by not showing the prices inclusive of tax and service charge (the latter I would even like to decide myself depending on whether service was worth it or not).
Please consider being a customer friendly business throughout, also when your guests open the menu by showing the actual price instead of a ++ price. In doing so you can help abolish this scam-ish and outdated practice of counting on people's inability to calculate prices correctly.

It was a beautiful location. But for the price of the room there were a lot of issues. Our one door wouldn’t lock and then the main door handle actually fell off our door when we tried to get out of the room! Then when we tried to call for help our phone didn’t work so we were stranded in our room for a couple hours until we finally figured out how to open the door...It was unbelievable!! I seriously wouldn’t believe it either if i didn’t experience it. Plus everything in the hotel is extremly overpriced, for two glasses of low quality wine it was 70 dollars USA. There are other places in Bali for better quality and better priced. Not a recommended hotel in my experience.

Team Esstudio (10/11/2017 23:58)
By far the hanging gardens is the best villa experience in Bali, the place is stunning. Staff are so pleasant and attentive. Food is amazing drinks are great, villas are private and there is just nothing else in this world like it. Monkeys keep you entertained so much wild life around to watch and enjoy from the private pool, can't wait to return... see you soon guys thanks for this out of this world experience!!

Best hotel to stay and never leave. The rooms are amazing and people working there will really take care of you. Just make sure to bring insects replant and don't eat dinner or lunch at their restaurant.

There is no way around arguing about the beauty of this place. It is stunning. We also received an upgrade upon checkin which was great.
However, for a hotel like this and also with then upgraded room there were a few things that shouldn't happen:
1) Communication before check-in wasn't great. Confirmation email didn't include check-in times. Nobody was reachable on the given number on three attempts and 3 days past until I got a reply to my email.
2) The mattresses on the sunbeds in our villa weren't 100% clean (or at least didn't look like it) and even had a few (cigarette) burns
3) We also had the floating dinner in our private pool which was a great experience. However, some of the items just didn't have a high quality (like a the meat and cheese platter). Rather replace them.

Highly recommended for you who look forward for a comfort - elegant and private resort. They have main infinity pool which one of the best pool in the world. Literally should try to stay in here.

There are cheaper hotels in Bali but, few can top the beauty of this remarkable hotel and the fabulous service provided by the staff.
I loved it so much I've been here on three separate occasions and I expect to be back again and again.

Alex Haglund (06/09/2017 17:13)
The most beautiful, romantic hotel I've ever stayed at. I've never been so relaxed in my entire life. Split your Bali trip into jungle and beach segments and make this your jungle stop. Excellent service, excellent food, excellent spa, and a funicular!

Steven Cliff (01/09/2017 00:02)
I've spa treatment at hanging garden with my partner and it was really wonderful. Thank you hanging garden and also Anita is my therapist, she's really great.

Mauro MartĂnez Cubillo (22/08/2017 15:13)
Really amazing surroundings, beautiful rooms with private pool. Main pool is top.
Food was somehow a disappointment. The spa experience was magnificent

Cianne Moores (29/06/2017 12:05)
This is now officially my favourite hotel in the world. The setting is divine - food is fantastic as are the cocktails. The mind boggles how this place was built and the story of how it was is amazing. I will be back later this year!

Mina Garrey (29/05/2017 11:37)
The location and rooms are spectacular. Their on-site spa is also amazing. Everyone working here has been wonderful and very helpful.

Cole de Klerk (04/05/2017 10:32)
Guaranteed to be an out of this world experience. Staff is willing to meet your every request and the price is reflective. The pool is no joke... (definitely make sure to go on a sunny day though)

Pedram Nick Aryan (26/04/2017 20:22)
The hotel is very remote and in the mountains of ubud. Really nice and cozy. Service is excellent. But the quality of the building isn't as high as some of the other hotels considering the price of this place. The rooms are overpriced and it's mainly due to the pool to be honest. The pools are beautiful though and present excellent photo opportunities

Amanda Spurlock (09/04/2017 03:38)
Ah! The pool and the spaces are fantastic and gorgeous. Villas are great. Spa service was amazing. But I can't get over how bad and expensive the food was. Menu is all over the place and there are no simple or casual options. The worst breakfast out of the 5 places we stayed in Indonesia. There also isn't a poolside menu (besides fries) so if you're hungry you have to leave. It's too bad, really.

Katharina Anders (18/03/2017 18:04)
Absolutely perfect stay! The staff is super friendly and as soon as I checked in, all employees knew my name and my schedule for the trip. Neither the restaurant nor the pool were ever crowded. There is so much to explore around the area of the hotel, it never gets boring. The only thing I didn't like was the smell of mosquito spray in my room but I experienced this is standard in bali.

Martha Tessema (04/03/2017 14:46)
Star struck by this beauty. Everything from the world renowned layered Infiniti pools on the property's main deck to the private plunge pools in each villa is an absolute fairytale. You are literally hanging in the middle of the jungle with views that are were once in a lifetime.

Hendry Yu (26/01/2017 04:33)
Good nature view, but if you not stay in this hotel, it will charge you at least 720,000 IDR for lunch (include 3 dishes per person). The food is normal, nothing special, the hotel atmosphere is really good

Isak Gylfe (25/01/2017 23:09)
Rome wasn't built in a day. And probably not this hotel either. Let me just say that there is time put down in the construction. A perfect combination of both hanging and gardens has resulted in an (almost) brand new concept.

My stay at the Hanging Gardens hotel of Bali was overall great. The rooms were in reasonable size, the food was great but the view from the pool was certainly splendid. Another great thing is that the bartender guy, can't remember his name, was it Fredrico? Anyway, makes great cocktails. Practice makes perfect and with my huge orders we can definitly call it practice.

This place both looks like and feels like my home. That's a big plus for me since I don't like changes. See you next year. BW Isak

The place indeed need further love caring and tender, but you will never find the natural forest lush view anywhere but here, the infinity pool looks great on IG but worth the visit!

Very quiet place and full of natural beauty around in modern architectures. Friendly people, good food. Soup was not that good, lot of stuff on it and very little liquid on it.other food were good though we waited for a while. Filling the gaps during waiting period by alot of complementary items. Overall it was good to be there.

Darren Ely (27/10/2016 11:40)
Wow, what a wonderful place! We had a honeymoon suite which was lovely. Well equipped and nice and spacious inside and out, with the added luxury of an infinity pool which looked out over the jungle. Truly idyllic and peaceful. Food was delicious, breakfast was the best meal, with the main evening meal being very good too. Friendly, attentive staff with nothing being a problem. We met with the general manager who was equally as nice and made us feel as welcome as you could ever want. A very tranquil and relaxing stay. My only gripe is that everything is over priced, but that is what you should expect in a place which offers such luxury.

Tom Nuss (07/09/2016 19:04)
Excellent resort, best I have ever been so far. We stayed in a panorama villa with a gorgeous view and private infinity pool.

Staff is extremely friendly (like nearly all people on Bali), and we had the best massage of all during our trip in Bali.

We didn't have dinner (each night in Ubud), but breakfast was great.

Highly recommended, especially for special occasion.

Mary Aracena (21/06/2016 06:38)
I was obsessed with this hotel and so I booked a massage to check out the ambiance. It's a bit stuffy and the staff is not as friendly as in other hotels. I had an ok massage nothing memorable.

We werent able to go in the pool since we were not guests. The pools are much smaller in person.

Overall a nice time/ stopover.

They charge you 400.000idr that can be used for your food and beverage purchase but on the downside the foods are overpriced and taste just so so. For me if they charge 400.000idr than i expect great cleanliness, but there are lots of lies there. With 400.000idr and you can't enjoy the pool as well. Lot's of another beach club in Bali that charge you less than that and you can enjoy the pool as well.

We came here for lunch. It's definitely not 20 mins from Ubud. It's 40 mins away. The drive was tough, bumpy and not safe. We almost got into accident. The food was mediocre, not to mention expensive (98AUD/ 2 pax for the cheapest package. The view like the picture. Still, totally not worthed Imho.

Mitchell Curtis (24/03/2016 08:51)
Awesome location, great villa's that each have a small infinity pool with a great view, very friendly staff and good food, quite expensive though!

Noelia Puche (19/03/2016 01:47)
Nice and quiet place, very nice views. The bufet food is not the best. The room is very confortable
