We went up to see Mount Agung from Mount Batur. The morning Sunrise tour is spectacular. Leaving our Villa in Bali at 2.00am, we went up to Mount Batur in the dark, and had a trusted guide with great English, take us up the Mount Batur volcano.
It was tough going... I wouldn't recommend taking up a baby, however, young Balinese children as young as 4 years old walked on past with a huge smile, as we took a break to recover.
Getting to the 3/4 mark this is a small warung up there. I would advise not buying a Coke up there. It was $3.00 up there, for the same coke that cost $0.40. Take the water that Expedition Bali will offer you.
You wont need a jumper or warm clothing in my opinion. You might be a bit cool as you set off... within minutes you will be hot and shedding clothes.
The sunrise is just awesome... It's spectacular. Pictures don't do it justice. If you can... go a little further up the mountain when the sunrise comes up. I'll tell you why... when we went... people just don't shut up and watch as the sun comes up over Mount Agung. It's a majestic sight that if watched in silence is awe inspiring.
I have another tip as well. Ask the Expedition Bali guide to take you around the rim of the crater for Mount Batur. Yeah, it means a little more climbing, however in my opinion, that's the best part of the tour. It's just amazing and what the tour is all about. You see so much more, you get to literally touch and walk through clouds, see entire communities living inside the original crater. The view is just spectacular, and your guide will be full of information if you ask. If you just want the peace and tranquility... Your guide will know.
We are going to try their new romantic champagne tour as well. The guide told me they were putting a tour together where you can see the ocean, the lake, and both volcanoes whilst having a champagne breakfast of Egg's Benedict and salmon.
You just have to do these tours of Bali's Volcanoes with Expedition Bali. I cant recommend them strongly enough

очень насыщенная программа,приятный коллектив,отличные места ,крутой драйв 4х4,крутецкий закат на вершине вулкана,меговкуснейшее барбекю вас будет ждать внизу ,отличный ребята!рекомендую!не пожалеете!

Супер компания, отличные гиды, организованно все на высшем уровне, очень понравилось встреча рассвета , и конечно же как мы катались на джипах по песку и лаве вулкана Батур. Спасибо огромное ребята за организацию таких туров. Успехов вам!
