Peaceful hiking area. I'd recommend going at 6AM to beat the heat and tourists. The sunlight over the rice terraces early in the morning is truly incredible. Enjoy this 2km hike through the rice fields and stop for a coffee on your way out! Really great place I'd highly recommend visiting for sunrise. Great hike/walk into the jungle! Definitely recommend it! It's a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud that puts you on a picturesque and lush path overlooking the jungle valley! Its 2km of almost straight path! Just follow the signs! Definitely worth the sweat!

The Ridge has a paved footpath with nice view of grassy knolls and river on either sides. I, for one, could understand what the hype was all about. Can skip as you can find similar views all around Ubud, especially when driving to waterfalls like Tibumana.

Green, clean and a hidden charm. Recommend early morning hours or late evening as day sun can ruin the hike. Its not too taxing but people with limited fitness may find it rough. Plan to take breaks as their is a lot to soak in . Lots of photo opportunities can make this hike a fun and memorable outing.

Great place located right in the middle of Ubud very clean and green place. With water flowing on one side and sunsetting on the other had a very peaceful and refreshing walk. The whole strech must be just 5km great place for jogging also with well paved path

Bukit Campuhan is a good place.. The view of this place is so awesome. Many green scenery in this place.. People can view the green hill scenery.. ..Many tourist take photos in here.. They called this place is instagramable. The best view is in the morning or afternoon.. It because the sun is shining brightly in the evening

I thought it was a nice walk. I only walked as far as the little art shops & restaurants because I had already seen the beautiful scenery that I went for & didn't want to walk longer than I had to in the heat. I went around 3pm in the afternoon & while there were people on the path it was super crowded like other places around Ubud are. No charge to get in either which was nice.
Ina P (18/03/2018 13:01)
Try to go early in the morning, because the path is pretty exposed and the sun and the midday heat can be overwhelming. Luscious greenery, small temples and art shops along the way, stunning views of dense jungle on both sides of the ridge. Stopped to try the swing we found and got hydrated on young coconuts at a sweet little café, the walk was way to short.

I loved this walk within the rice fields even though it wasn't long. Views of the valley that slowly takes form as you climb, are wonderful. You may choose to go back and forth (6km total.) or turn west on the top to the next village and then back south to Ubud again (9 km that way)
You may need proper shoes so don't wear flip flops!

If you enjoy wandering through a traditional small village which is surrounded by beautiful green paddy fields, you should try this. T here are few boutiques where you can try huge Balinese king coconut (I bet it's hard to finish the whole thing) and also some art galleries. If you like
to buy traditional Balinese egg paintings, just try here, better prices, good quality.
Brona Kekenakova (05/11/2017 09:57)
Go there before it gets too crowded. Nice little walk with nice views and some cafes and art shops along the way. No need for special shoes, but bring some water and reserve about 1,5 hrs. No entrance fee. Accessible from Jl Raya Ubud

If you like nature then it's a must visit place in Ubud. Lush greenery, paddy fields, cafes and the walk. There is a lot of walking to be done and its very steep at few places so good stamina required. It's good if you start early in the morning like 6 when the Sun has not risen. Karsa Cafe is nice but it doesn't open until 9-10 AM.

Easy walk with amazing views! Nice rice terraces. Lot of places where you can stop and have a cold drink or a meal. But i recommend to take some water with you and sun cream too.
Jess Robertson (21/09/2017 12:10)
Nice walk, but maybe early in the morning or before sunset, we went at about 3pm and the heat made it more difficult. Very easy walk with a well marked trail and outstanding views of jungle and rice terraces. It's really a walk for views, there are lots of places to eat and drink on the way of that's what you like. There is no around route though and you have to walk back the same way which is a downside to me, but still worth it :)
Tibor M. Kovacs (07/09/2017 18:39)
Easy spectacular walking route even in the hot weather. You are walking by the river valley and plenty of places to stop for a drink if you get tired. If you start from Ibah hotel at the end you find the nice rice terrace with the spa.
Marie-Ève Gagné (05/09/2017 00:47)
Great walk to start the day! Very peaceful on the walk away from the business of the Ubud's traffic. It is a leisurely walk on and down some low hills.
Karolina Szymula (02/09/2017 04:58)
Good, super easy walk. Gets a bit crowded during the day so better to go either in the morning or afternoon.
Martha van Bakel (27/08/2017 13:17)
An easy walk with great views. Bring a water bottle. The entrance is now well signposted. At the top you end up in a lovely village with good lunch spots and rice terraces.
Krystal P (22/07/2017 14:43)
Loved the walk. Easy walk, Worth doing. Well marked once you leave the main road. Don't keep walking much past the few restaurants on the left _It just goes back into 'suburban' road The best rice fields are there on the left.
Érico Costa (28/06/2017 12:51)
After a long walk (1h to appreciate the view and take great pictures) you will see an amazing view of the rice fields, just lovely during the sunset. Worth the effort!!
Gina Cattanach (22/06/2017 15:12)
About 30 minute scenic walk. Once you get to the top there's a small village with shops and cafes. Beautiful
Kaitlyn Chiu (17/06/2017 20:14)
Love this little walk. I'd say it took us around 25mins one way. We stopped when we reached the village as it's not scenic anymore. There are restaurants and cafes after the walk.

I always enjoy the hike from Hotel Ibah to the Karsa Spa, which takes you over the hills of the Campuhan Ridge. The best time to do this would be early morning or in the late afternoon. It can get quite hot up there during the day. It’s not a very tough walk, but the sun is relentless. Bring some good shoes, a bottle or two of water and you’ll be good to go. It’s really not so far and once you get to the top of the first hill, the hardest part is over and the rest is a breeze. I really enjoy the views from up there and the tall grass which grows all around you. It is a fun walk and it be nice to spend some time in a quieter area of Ubud.
Steffie Osbahr (30/05/2017 06:38)
You can have a nice stroll through some fields with a very nice view. Unfortunately the pretty part ends after 30min and you end up in a small village and walk the concrete street. There are many shops and restaurants but to be honest, the Karsa Kafe was the nicest one. Good option if you have some time to spare.
Wahyu Wedanata (18/04/2017 13:42)
Beautiful view and refreshing scene. Breezing wind n a very enjoyment trip to do
Ridwan Hassen (07/04/2017 05:53)
Quiet and quaint walk. Come prepared as the first part is pretty hilly and hot (bring water). The view of the terraces is phenomenal. Make sure to go to the top and get coconut milk or smoothie with a great view.
Albrecht Ch. (25/03/2017 06:27)
Beautiful and calm walk.
Best to do the walk either in the morning or late afternoon as it is mostly exposed to the sun and it can get very hot.
Joni Nissinen (13/03/2017 15:21)
Beautiful and calm walk. We walked all the way to Karsa cafe, ate good food and walked back the same way. It was while ago but approx. 2-3 hours took in total
Miha Pšenica (08/02/2017 13:23)
Very beautiful and quiet walk with view to the coconut and banana palm trees. Nice path and so close to Ubud so you shouldn't miss it if you're there. So green!
Bharani Gorugantu (01/02/2017 02:27)
This ridge walk is fantastic - lush greenery all around, with quaint houses dotting the hillside. Ending in a number of spas and cafes, all having great paddy fields views. Will definitely recommend as a must do in Ubud. Try to get there before 5pm, as the path has no streetlamps for once the sunsets.
The Wandering Frog (10/01/2017 09:29)
Beautiful walk, though not shaded so bring water and a hat. You can either do a loop by taking a left turn after the 2nd village ( sign for the Blanco museum) or turn around. But you should push after the 1 st village: more rice terraces are after!
Asma Hamdi (30/12/2016 00:03)
Very beautiful walk! I went there at sunset time which made it even more gorgeous!!! It is definitely a must do if you are visiting Ubud! The only thing the walk was not as easy as it was mentioned in TripAdvisor so I recommend not wearing a flip flop if you planing to go because I did then I was struggling a bit in yhe up heels and downs heels so my advise is to wear either good sandals or a comfortable shoes and please avoid flip flops.
Leanne Allen (28/12/2016 08:07)
A lovely walk but very little shade so come prepared with sun screen and water. It rained torrentially on our way back, everywhere was flooded but for us it just added to the fun. Luckily we had also remembered our waterproofs.
Kai E (04/10/2016 10:22)
Great little walk close to centre of town. Definitely recommend doing it early in the morning to catch the sunrise at the top. Popular spot for dog walking and exercise amongst local expats.
Jordan Welsh (25/09/2016 01:06)
Nice walk along the grassy ridge with good views. Gently uphill for about 45 minutes.
Jazzman Richers (17/08/2016 06:14)
Started in the morning hours around sunrise (6:45AM), it is a about 3km path. Really nice views and after you've done your morning exercise you can enjoy a nice breakfast at Karsa Café.
Maj Rex (09/08/2016 04:20)
Beautiful place for hiking over looking northern of ubud. Fresh air and green. There are really nice places in the end you can relax and have drink and see the sun go down.
Deepu Vinod (14/06/2016 02:29)
The entrance is tucked away near the Ibza hotel, with only a tiny easy to miss board. E winding path, about 2km long takes you along a ridge flanked by valleys on both sides, covered in grass. On both sides you can see the wilderness and the quaint traditional buildings nested together in geometric patterns. Worth the time.
Kanghao Yu (31/05/2016 06:46)
A pleasant walk on a paved path through long grasses up the Campuhan ridge. The area is as popular with locals out for some exercise as it is with tourists looking for photo opportunities.
Chris Cunnington (15/05/2016 07:41)
A beautiful walk through the outskirts of Ubud. We wandered right to where the walk become a road again and stopped just before to have an Ice Cold Coconut. Delicious & Beautiful
Fransisca Mira (09/05/2016 05:16)
It's called Bukit Cinta by the locals. The view is good, better come at morning or evening so it's not really hot
Erwin Saputra (25/03/2016 03:00)
If you enjoy beautifully simple places. This is the place for you.
Around 2km of small road in the middle of lushfull grass fields for walk. With a cozy cafe at the end of the journey
