Honestly, my hopes was very high before visiting. The servers was not good. My server was constantly rushing us to order and then to finish eating. She constantly hoovered around the table even after she was asked to give us space and that we would call her if we needed anything. She just had a bad pushy attitude. I finally decided to ask her if she was having a bad day because her attitude was not good. She then changed her attitude. My friend felt shw was being racist towards us.
Also, the food wasn't that good nor was the tarts we got. I wouldn't recommend this place.

This was a great place to visit. The atmosphere was very nice and other servers were great. I recommend this place to anyone who visits ubub. It's a must stop.

Tastiest fried noodle I have ever had!

Nice enough. Good service, OK food and lovely setting. We walked past one day and the look into the garden is what made us come back. You can sit at little nooks/areas in the garden. Do know it will be warm as there is no AC. And you can either sit low on pillows or at chairs.
The staff is very friendly and efficient. There is a bakery part which looked like they had some nice options. However the cheesecake we tried was a small piece for the price and really bland and unimpressive.
We ordered two burgers, one beef and one chicken. They were nice enough. But it won't make me go back.
Overall, an ok experience.

Great food and really lovely setting for a comfortable meal right in Ubud centre. Highly recommended.

A Hidden Treasure on The Monkey Forrest Road.
At First Glance it does not look to be anything special.....wander out the back and choose youre own private Gazebo to dine in...
Beautiful Gardens with Fish Ponds and the sound of running water.
Excellent menu ,you will not want to leave in a hurry !

Great private atmosphere. Lovely food and very cozy. Go through to the back, it's much mover than you'd expect from the entrance!

A must visit. 4 times in 4 years, a tradition and always our favourite. Get the crispy duck! Don't ask questions just do it!!!

Very friendly and nice.
Fine service
Delicious food (garlic shrimps and pizza)
Didn’t like the salad though.
Good regular lattes (cold and hot).
The cake is ok. Moisture cake. Ice cream is ok too.
We had a problem with the pizza and they handled it very well.
I can easily come again.

My first meal there was as an 18 year old student. Been back almost every other year since then. More than 25 years later...food quality is still very good. Incredible in this day and age! In love with the crispy duck rice set and their coconut cake. I don't even remember its actual name...I just point to it as I walk past on the way to my table. Dare I say it...service kind of feel clinical though very efficient. Call before going. Sometimes they are closed to walk-ins due to private events.

Amazing, authentic Indonesian food. Sunday night Indonesian buffet as well, and a great selection of a la carte plates (both Indonesian and Western options).
After drinks and 4 full entrees, the cost for my family of 3 was $21, and for the quality of food, that price is extremely fair (all local sourced and no MSG for those who care). Would recommend to anyone.

Beautiful garden where you can just chill out and enjoy the savory food. Great place! Make sure to try their avocado smoothie as it's mind-blowing!

Lovely place with great food and a wonderful garden. We enjoyed a meal with several little portions of traditional foods and enjoyed this culinary experience very much.

Excellent food. The seating is plenty as you can choose how to sit (floor or chair), where to sit (the deeper in you go the more beautiful it gets) and they have a great menu that features so much local fare as well as many international food selections. There are great cocktails offered here that also feature many local flavors and distilled spirits. The Wayan is easy to find and is certainly a step away from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of Ubud. If you're looking for a quiet getaway from your busy day in town, this is the perfect spot for a good 1-2 hours downtime inclusive of excellent drinks, food, and service.

Disappointing with the food as we expected more after a lot of good reviews we read. Ginger tea was just a teabag with ginger flavour, pancakes were small and not very nice. Not talking about the prices that are too much for the food you get. Stuff was very nice and helpful.

You pay a bit more but you will get premium service and very good quality food in attractive surroundings. On Sundays they offer a buffet as well as their usual ala carte dishes.

Nasi campur was very good but my boyfriend did not like his satay because the meat was too fatty. The peanut sauce masked the poor quality of satay meat. The atmosphere is very nice facing the garden and ponds. Good place for a quick local lunch. The crispy duck on the next table looked very good as well.

Fantastic cooking class! I did lesson #6 but I'm sure all the others are great too. Everything we made was super delicious and I'm so inspired to do a big Balinese cook up at home! The instructions and help were really good and the chef was very patient with us 😊

We had dinner there 3 times, their crispy duck is nice. The whole duck for 2 is not that nice it feels like the duck is not made at the restaurant but a store bought cooked ones from plastic bag. Nice juices amd desserts are nice.

Great food and great service. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The cafe itself is probably one of the most beautiful I've sat in.

Good environment with many options including traditional balinese and Indonesian food. Having live dancing show at 20h (double check if all days). It is a bit expensive with about 120k per person with main course and drink.

No matter what you order it is nice place to spend a couple of hours... You can feel you are in the middle of forests. Staffs are so friendly...

Great choice, good prices, delicious food and really excellent service. The atmosphere is also really relaxing and temperature is on the warm side as it's open air. It's pretty peaceful and enjoyable when not busy. Definitely recommend for everyone, even small children due to the child menu being really nice.

Great cafe but go down the back. The back is a beautiful garden. So different from the front. Good food and staff too.
Danny (16/02/2017 14:17)
Excellent food, friendly staff in a beautiful environment. The restaurant has developed over the years from a warung to what it is now. You can order Indonesian food but international dishes are also available (and everything is just beautiful).
The cakes deserve special mentioning as they are excellent and well worth a try. Highly recommended!

We just had take away desserts but they were great. We chose death by chocolate and the lemon merengue tart. It started to rain so they let us sit at a table and it was great ambiance and service.

Great food, albeit a bit pricey for local standards . Excellent scenery. Perfect place to come to after the monkey forest as it is nice a serene and peaceful. A great place to unwind and eat delicious food. Staff are great and have moderate to good English, and they have cooking classes/performances
Natasha Sparke (08/01/2017 22:18)
Food delicious but a bit more on the pricey side. Beautiful scenery - would recommend a seat out the back, there's a garden full of trickling streams and ponds. Great service.

I have a friend who raves about this place - personally, I've never been completely impressed. It's definitely very touristy, and I've felt the food is good - but doesn't justify the price a lot of the time. I do love the garden and venue though - very impressive! I really only come here though if someone else already has arrange plans.

Got a solid nasi campur here, the setting was cool and I felt secluded with my date, the hot toddy was perfect and the staff were always smiling, huge restaurant but doesn't feel like it at all.

Me and my girlfriend absolutely loves Wayans cakes, coffee and of course their beautiful and calm garden where you can sit for hours while you enjoy your sweets and tranquility! Haven't tried their food yet, but it looks good and price range goes from medium to expensive. Their cakes and coffee however are actually quite cheap and served in generous portions. A rather big apple pie or a chocolate cupcake (which actually tastes more like a brownie, but a good one!) only costs around 20.000 each (+tax). Their Bali coffee is really good as well! Our favorite place in Ubud for a "fika", as we call it in Sweden, or a coffee with cake in plain English! :)

Great food. Nice place a must visit and try the Nasi Nanas and the Dadar gulung for desert.
Sabine Nasser (09/06/2016 12:08)
Beautiful ambience, whether for lunch or dinner. Highly recommend to try the floor seating next to the pond. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick. The food is simply to die for, and the portions are huge for the price. Highly recommend to order nasi manas and the Dadar Gulung for dessert. I went back three times during my stay in Ubud, and I would definitely come back again!

Romantic cafe for dinning. Delicious taste for nasi campur bali
Troy Schulz (18/04/2016 23:46)
Dropped in for lunch with the family after the markets and found the food superb. Menu has great options for children and delicous balinese cuisine. Spring rolls were fantastic as was mie goreng, nasi goreng and black rice pudding. The restaurant has beautiful balinese decor and is worth a look for this alone Highly recommended for westen families
