SCAM ARTISTS! RIP OFF! FAKE COFFEE! AVOID AT ALL COST! DONT FALL FOR THE HOAX!
We were on our way to Agrowista when we were approach by a young man on a scooter telling us there is police ahead and they are stopping tourists without international drivers licence. His English was very good and he kept on saying he believes in karma and that’s why he is warning us. We tried ignoring him but he kept on cruising around us and ‘offered’ to take us to a coffee plantations where we can try real luwak coffee, unlike the other shops that sell fake coffee. We should have known but we fell for it.
We paid 50k each for a cup of watery instant coffee (we later tried luwak coffee elsewhere and so know this one was a fake). The animals are kept in cages. Goods in their store are fake and expensive. Do yourself a favour and AVOID!
And a message to the cone artist who lured us to the shop and the rest of the staff, as I’m sure you will read this : I HOPE THE KARMA YOU QUOTED SO HEAVILY, COMES TO GET YOU REAL GOOD! You’re destroying foreigners’ trust in your fellow countrymen’s intentions.

Same scam as listed below.....coffee wasn't anything special. Don't go here total scam we got had. Tasters were decent but special coffee didn't taste of anything special. Avoid this place if possible and carry on, there are no police to be seen!

same experience as described below... catched by nice guy with very good English warned about police...we did not care about the police, we had everything ok, but we were on the way to coffee plantation, so we say why not here ... nice place, good coffee....BUT!!! they have there 2 scared civets (luwaks) in so tiny cages! it is really horrible business with animals only because of civet coffee😥
btw. we continued on planned way and "surprisingly" no police....

Tourist trap w/ caged animals. Coffee was subpar

A fantastic experience with views, a thorough explanation of the coffee process & of course some delicious samples of teas & coffees native to the region.

WARNING: STAFF ARE SCAMMERS! A good read below:
We were on our way to Manik Abian, the coffee plantation 100m north of this place. A staff member from Bhuana Asri was on a scooter trailing us, and honked to pulled us over and told us to come to his plantation because there were police up ahead stopping tourists on scooters, and his plantation was before the roadblock. HE WAS LYING!! He kept reassuring us that his tip about the police was "given out of good karma". We were suspicious of his intentions, so we kept to our original plan. Of course, there was no police roadblock. No one pulling over tourists. At all.
Thank goodness we did not go to Bhuana Asri as their staff are scam artists. His lies turned into bad karma because we had the best time at Manik Abian! DO NOT GO TO BHUANA ASRI.

Experience there was great; beautiful nature, nice hosts, great luwak coffee and all the other coffees and teas we tried... But after that great experience we decided to actually buy the luwak coffee and ginseng coffee to take it home with ourself! It was a fraud, we were cheaten! Because when we came home and tried both coffee it was not that coffee we drank at Bali. It was some weird, very untasty and weak "coffee". So don't buy coffee there!

Tolle Plantage. Sehr gut erklärt. War lustig. Und der Originale Luwak Kaffee ist richtig gut. Selbst ich als absolut kein Kaffee Trinker fand es exzellent.
