This hotel is a starting point of Mount Batur trekking. We stayed there for that reason and it was only us sleeping that night. The guide took a great care of us. Please be prepared, because you have to assemble at 3.30 am. then trek for at least two hours for around 7.8 km. according to the website (so it is total 15 km. walking back to the hotel). Me, an average woman office worker almost fainted on the way up to the mountain but still make it in time for sunrise. Hope this information help.

Amazing experience with our guide and driver Putu ! Went to Mt Batur first and then Putu was very flexible in our itinerary and made us discover 10 times more than initially planned.
I highly recommend it for making the most of your time in Bali !
Tailored and real experiences out of the touristic places was the highlight of the two days spent with our guide !

Ketut was an amazing guide. He was kind, fun, and really made sure our trip was perfect. He took his time to show us everything Mt Batur had to offer and was willing to take hundreds of photos for us. We loved this hike and would recommend to anyone who loves beauty and nature

The sunrise trek up Mt Batur was amazing.
Our guide was hilarious and extremely helpful in making sure our hike up was as enjoyable as it could be.
You need to get up the last stage (20 min more) for the ultimate look out and view of the sunrise which was blocked a little by fog but still amazing.
Breakfast and coffee at the top wasn't anything to brag about it, but our guide did have to walk all the up carrying it so.. it was totally fine.
Loved every minute of this trek.

Great experience although quite expensive. Too many people around so you can easily travel on your own without paying for a tour (if you really want to see the sunrise but save the money). Although the local guide can tell you amazing stories and show calm places to watch the sunrise

Amazing place and the best experience I had personally had on Bali. With outstanding guidance and support on booking (and PayPal) , pickup (2:15am from Ubud for me), then trekking, Batur top & sunrise with eggs on top, till a wonderful Balinese breakfast when we were back, Bali Sunrise Trekking team is best! Thanks for that experience Team!

Bad hotel in Bali, high price with poor service. Don't stay here!

Pickup was on time; we were due to be picked up at 2:15-2:45AM, & when we exited our villa at 2:18AM, our driver was waiting for us at the van. We made 2 more pick up stops before heading to the gathering point.
You get a cup of coffee/tea before you start, & a bottle of water to take with you as well. They provide flashlights for you if you forgot to bring one.
After the safety briefing, we realized we were pretty off schedule. But anyway...
The trek itself was INSANE. As someone who isn't fit (jogs 2 times a week?), this was a stretchi for me. Not even halfway through, I felt like dying. But the guides kept up our good cheer, egged us on, & for those who are weaker, would take our hands & almost-drag/hoist us up the climb. It sounds terrible, but it is helpful.
But boy, the view was worth it. I went on a good day & it was stunning. The breakfast box offered at the top of the mountain is nothing much - 2 bananas, an orange, 2 toast & 2 hard boiled eggs. I ate the eggs because I was famished.
Overall, would recommend this experience if you're not afraid of your legs hurting for the next few days. This tour company is helpful & quite reliable as well. Oh but then again, my crazy Very Healthy friends resumed their daily exercise the next morning, so.. I guess not EVERYONE was hurting, heh.

Exactly how you would imagine the perfect stay at lake and Mnt Batur.

Great experience and was worth the 1am wake up time. You get picked up from your hotel/resort and they drive you to the base. They serve tea/coffee and take you up in small groups of about 8. This requires good fitness and I struggled up the steep climb. The trek up the mountain takes about 2 hours. They provide torches. Bring your own headlamp if you have one. Hiking shoes and poles are recommended if you have them. They provide one bottle of water but bring 500mL especially on hot days. You need to bring a jumper as it is cold at the peak. I recommend bringing granola bars as you might feel hungry along the way. They provide volcano eggs boiled with the volcano heat along with bread and fruit. Bring cash if you want to buy soft drink, water and hot drinks (coffee, tea and milk). The trek down takes about 1 hour 20 mins but it is still challenging because it is quite steep.

Our guide and experience was wonderful! The thought of getting up at 2 am didn't sound appealing but so worth it for this unique volcano experience. Makes us want to trek Agung too. The volcano, crater, history, steam, dried lava, ash, was so cool. The guides for this company were super attentive, personable and fun. We were lucky to be grouped with others that were just as fit as us. There was 32 people on this tour, marketed as the "quite trekking route" so with our group and another group I wouldn't consider this a quiet trail. We were however the last to leave from the restaurant so we missed the first peak of sunrise. We passed many other groups who were taking many breaks and not sure if they would have made it to the peak in time. We are really fit so didn't find this challenging, but a fun hike. Get away from the beach and experience this cool trek, is a must!

Combining modern and natural villa, perfect location to watch sunrise/sunset, with Mount and Lake Batur as backgrounds...

The room was spacious, very cozy and made with unique high-end funriture. You could tell that everything was built with love to the detail, perfectly combined with natural materials. The rooms are sourrounded by a various garden which makes you feel like in a fairy tale. I instantly felt welcome due to the owner, Gede and his lovely staff. A good place to stay if you want to hike (starting point of sunrise trek to mount batur) and want to get the spirit of the place.

Sehr nettes und hilfreiches Personal. Die Unterkunft bietet eine Tour auf den Batur für 400'000 Rp an.
Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, leider kaum Isoliert und deshalb ist es um die Uhr sehr laut.
