'It's ok' is the perfect wording for Bali Buda. The smoothies are good but we waited forever for our main course. I had the tortillas with eggplant and sprouted almonds. The tortillas were dry and had hardly any filling. The salad came without dressing and it was only after I had finished that I noticed the wait staff will bring you some, I guess if you ask or if they remember when they bring you a salad. I left hungry and dissatisfied

The place seemed amazing great menu! However the cups smelled like an old rag which was a huge turn off. When we ordered i had questions about their gluten free pizza options and due to a language barrier my questions were unable to be answered. Our food however was good.

4 stars average - makes sense.
The place is nice and quiet and open, I like that. The baked goods are good and very cheap.
The coffee is very good but not so cheap.
Overall it's a good place, we go there a lot. The waitstaff is a bit special, they are not quite professional, but I like them.
What always annoys me is that they have stuff like the breakfast set that supposedly comes with 2 English muffins, but then you only get one, cut in half. I told them that I think that's not ok, but for the reprint of the menu they kept it. I know I sound like a stickler, but I'm all for honesty.

Nice atmosphere with a nice non static seating arrangement. There is a modern variation of music playing, but not too high. Service is fast, and staff is friendly. I had the eggplant almond enchiladas and the green superfood smoothie. The smootie had a fresh and nice taste, and a nice green healthy color. The enchiladas was okay, but a bit pale taste. It was fresh tough. Ask for salt! As dessert, the No bake brownie ball, was OK, but taste like you could imagine a raw ball to taste. The brownie part was lacking.

This place is AMAZING!! Their salad dressings are so delicious. They bring them all out to your side salad. I had a burger and it was really good. Plus, KOMBucha is the cheapest on the island that I found so far. So good too! Can’t wait to be back and try their tacos and some other stuff that caught my attention. Why do they have only 4 stars? 😬😳

Bali Buda is a great organization that supports the community , environment and people here in Bali (thanks for this!!). This rating goes only to the restaurant. We enjoyed once the delivery service, it was great but taste a bit pale because of restaurant's principles (no / less salt, spices, etc). We went to the restaurant a few years back and service was very cold an untypically not friendly. I mean they did their job, but it was not the Balinese kindness you get everywhere. Same experience this year... therefore only 3***.

Food was amazing, but the service is terrible here. The tables were half full while we were here, if that, and yet we had to wait ages for someone to come and take our order. The food took a long time to come out (I ordered a grilled cheese). Ordered a lemonade and it came with a ton of mint blended into it? Ordered a vegetable pate that never came out. Asked for ice for my "lemonade" since it didn't come with any, and again it never came out. Had to go up and ask them for napkins and cutlery since there was none on the table. They brought us napkins, but had to wave another person down to ask for cutlery again.
Great food, but not worth dealing with the terrible service. There are other places in Ubud to eat that are just as good and the people working there actually know what they're doing. Save your time.

This is a great place to eat. The menu offers a nice variety of food for all types of diets. We ate there several times during our visit to Ubud. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is well prepared and presented. This is a must place to eat.

The very best vegetarian food! We were there twice.
The menu card is layouted like a newspaper and for pocketable.
Kids corner available.
And a small food shop for foodies is just around the corner.

The Food in the Café was okay. There are better Restaurants close by.
The Shop is really good, though. Good for Food Souvenirs or Healthy lifestyle.

Tons of healthy options, vegan and vegetarian food. Very tasty and reasonably priced. I have tried Vietnamese spring rolls, juice and coffee-all good! They also have a shop around the corner, worth to pop in there too!

It is all about expectations - read from the review it said play area for kids. Turned up it was a small 1.5meter cage for babies. It is not a play area for kids so just to be clear. No wifi. Good vegan gluten free dishes and variety of juice.

A huge menu lots of vegan and veg options. Food was really good. Great service. Want to go back.

Good place. Kombucha was so delicious. Jamu was weak. Overall an awesome place.
Katelyn Caillouet (10/07/2017 10:47)
The food is okay. The service is awful. We tried eating there 4 or 5 times, they never got an order right and food took forever to come out. There are plenty of better healthy restaurants in Ubud!

Good healthy food. New creative menu. Definitely suggest to have a stop here.

Always love this place! Great to have my family with me this time, to enjoy it too. A bit more expensive that others, but worth every bit for the great food, people and vibe.

Got sold moldy peacan nuts! And upon returning it no money back since it was more than 24 hours after buying! Ate quite some of it in the dark and stopped because the taste was weird, only realized the next morning they were almost all moldy, rancid and old! On top they were quite expensive. Even I have been a few times there their backery seems also not very fresh and quite unhealthy. A bit of a stinky and stuffy place maybe also because they sell meats eggs etc. No apology for the moldy pecans as weell many other places that also sell fresh organic veggies so no need to waste ur time here.

The food as you can see from the pics looks great but that's about as far as it goes. There was no flavour in either the lasagne or the tofu curry. Told waiter whom spoke little English and he said it is out taste buds. Ethical food which I liked but no taste.

I ate here multiple times during my vacation. The food was super yummy and settled well on my sensitive stomach! I loved the cozy atmosphere and vibe. Unfortunately they do not have wifi.
Amanda Kingsmith (04/03/2017 13:05)
The food is good but the service is not. I've eaten in the restaurant and got delivery and the delivery service is really slow. It took over 30 minutes longer than they quoted to get my food and I was hung up on 3 times when I called to check on my food, as if it's absurd for me to wonder where my food is after waiting an hour.

Went there 2 times: First time I order the miso mushroom soup, I had to wait 20 minutes and got at the table that was barely warm. Second time I got the chicken burger and It was ridiculous dry, so after I finish the (so, so) healthy juice, I asked for a glass of water... I had to wait another 5 minutes and it was warm like the water for the horses (get the point).. Tired to deal with the lazy servers, I left the water there and asked for my bill.. They saw I didn't drink the water but they charged me 2000 Rp. and the change, it was 1000 Rp. and the server never brought it back to me.

Food is good, and the ambiance is cozy. Good to know if you want to have a beer or a glass of wine, this place does not serve alcohol.
Neiman Catley (14/01/2017 02:07)
The overall quality of this place is amazing! No matter what you order you'll be satisfied. Try the beetroot burger. Enak Sakali!
Nicole Clark (12/01/2017 07:13)
The food was great and super fresh. Lots of great healthy options. The health food store downstairs is also great.

Great place with many vegetarian options! We tried the nasi camphor, beet burger, Buda taco when we was there twice - yum! The nasi camphor was delicious!

This used to be an amazing establishment but it seems that it is running off of hype these days. The food was OK - a little bit flavorless. The staff were great. It is a lovely place to eat and relax but no longer deserves its reputation.
Pablo Lugo (22/10/2016 09:10)
The food is a weird mix between being "healthy" and killing yourself... Their idea of Mexican food is... Completely a spontaneous version of what they saw in a spaghetti western film. Over priced. And you can get a nice meal in anyone her place, cheaper and real nice meals. Staff don't speak English very well, so you will get some problems to get your food, even I was with a local, they couldn't manage the order even in Bahasa Indonesia!!! It was a bit funny.
