It was a great tour, despite the off-and-on rain and the recent eruption of Mt Agung. The bikes have seen some heavy use but worked well enough for the trip, although they were a bit scary at first in the rain which hindered the braking. They weren’t joking about it being a downhill cycling tour. The included 3-course lunch was good and they had a delicious vegetarian option, and coffee and snacks were available before the biking portion of the trip.
It was a great way to experience rural Bali from a unique perspective! Although originally hesitant about riding a bike on some of the busy roads, only a few stretches had traffic and it was no different from riding in a city; definitely a must try experience!

Lovely place and was my very first visit. People there were unbelievably friendly from anywhere I have ever been. Loved the downhill ride through the villages and paddy fields. Managed to to see a huge spider on one of the tall grass by the road side. He was about six inches leg to leg. Scary did not take him with me. Our guid Alex was excellent with us and gave little extra side tours. Thank you Alex and you company of chaperons. My wife chickened out at the last moment at the start on the downhill after she saw the start steep downhill. Anyway I would like to do that again.

We really enjoyed this activity. It was exciting being dropped at the crater rim of a volcano, firstly enjoying the view (and a snack), and then descending down 35 km over a couple of hours. The descent was mainly along quiet back roads, and we were able to see typical Balinese village life. Most of the trip was downhill, free-wheeling, and often using the brakes. We travelled in a group of six with a guide in the front and a back up van carrying our gear.
Anyone who enjoys a bike ride and is averagely-confident on a bike would enjoy this activity. From older children, up to fit older people (60 plus) are suitable patrons.
The guides were very mindful of safety and enjoyment. Evidently it was possible to skip sections and travel in the back-up van.
The lunch at the endpoint was simple and tasty, and had three courses.
I would say it would be best to look ahead to the weather forecast for Kintamani and Ubud before booking.
